5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best tapes so far
This is probably tied with Tape 5 as my favorite tape of the first MKR season. (I haven't seen nor read MKR2 yet.) The first episode features two of my favorites, Fuu-chan and the fabulous dancer/illusionist with theSouthern/Osaka accent (depending on if you're watching the dub or sub),Caldina. The dub of this is very good IMHO, they still mess up some of thenames but with the exception of Inouva I think all the voices are great.(Hikaru's is actually more bearable in English, IMHO..I don't like herseiyuu. ^_^;) Still, this is a great tape in English or Japanese, and itstarts the series on a more serious tone while still maintaining humorousmoments. (And Fuu and Ferio fans, GET THIS TAPE. It contains one of thebest Ferio episodes ^ ^.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Magic Knights is a great series
I have all the Magic Knight video's out, so far, and this one had one of my favorite episodes.Episode 15, I think, involved Ferio returning for another appearance *He's so cute!*, and there's a lot of cute and romanticturmoil between him and Fuu when Ferio's seen with another woman. *Oh no!*And, also in that episode, the coolest villian of the series, Innova<3, comes in.He is an awesome character for an evil guy, and the merefact that he's so cruel in the episode makes him even cooler. The Episodebefore it, though, was rather bizarre, because it wasn't needed and merelyshowed Hikaru bleeding alot. Not that it matters, though, because thevideo was still great and I recommend it to any MKR fan!*Fuu rocks!*

5-0 out of 5 stars On pins and needles.
I've been collecting the whole series and can't wait 'til Feb 22 when the final tape, number 5 , is released. But 'til then...

Twillight is episodes 13-16.

Episode 13 - The Most Valuable thing in this world.

The three adventures discover and even teach thier enimy what is most theinportant thing to have.

Episode 14 - Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu's UnyeildingWish

As Umi and Fuu are abducted, Hikaru must use her wits anddetermination to free her companions.

Episode 15 - The Second Rune-God:Windam, Lord of the Skies.

Innova reveils himself to the Magic Knighsas Fuu must choose to continue in her quest to become a magic knight, orlose her companions, the one she loves, and even her very life.

Episode16 - A Powerful Foe ! Lafarga the Swordmaster

The girls discover someof the mysterious aspects of their escudo weapons as a new foe appears,Lafarga. Can the Magic Knights stand up to the most powerful swordsman inCephero ? ( Let's hope so or else tape #5 might never come out... ^_^ ) ... Read more

A peak achievement of Japanese anime, Ninja Scroll is a propulsive mix of samurai action adventure and supernatural fantasy from writer-director Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Supernatural Best City). This is defiantly animation for grown-ups, complete with fountains of blood, plenty of naked flesh, and (in both the subtitled and dubbed versions) some decidedly strong language. (Students of Japanese language could pick up some useful expressions.) The plot sounds like a 16th century variation on the X-Files: An entire village has been wiped out by a mysterious plague and an anti-government conspiracy of invulnerable demons seems to be responsible. A wandering ninja, Jubei, and his female counterpart, Kagero, team up to defeat the plotters. Jubei is a classic reluctant hero, agreeing to participate in the mission only after being fed a slow-acting poison; the antidote will be supplied after he cooperates. And Kagero, a looker whose embrace is lethal, is a femme fatale with a difference that seems distinctively Japanese: sexual contact itself is poisonous, especially for a warrior with a pure soul. --David Chute ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Pure enjoyment for the open minded...
This review is directed to those who, like myself, are not avid anime fans. I own three anime DVDs: Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and Ninja Scroll, and I enjoy all three. However, Ninja Scroll is far the most enjoyable to watch. But this review is not a comparison of the three.

I would like to praise the writer/director of Ninja Scroll for creating such an exciting and artistic work while at the same time retelling the ancient tale of the reluctant hero. The plot was sufficient enough to withstand the weight of the amazing action sequences and fun sexual content. The character development was superb. Jubei (the hero) is not portrayed an all-powerful superhero. Instead, we just see a gifted fighter with an immense will to survive.

The action scenes are among the best I have ever seen, with battle choreography that is comparable to that of the best filmakers. The villians are imaginitive and original, not to mention devious. The plot is extremely imaginitive, touching on topics that are not common to the "super robots and cute little girls" world of Japanese Anime: love triangles, rape, greed, self esteem, and homosexuality. This film was enjoyable from beginning to end, and if you are searching to expand your collection into something new, pick up this DVD. Its pure enjoyment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Breaking the Samurai Code
One tradition of Japanese manga and anime is based on the legends of Yagyu Jubei Mitsuyoshi, who was a very real swordsman serving the Tokugawa Shogunate at the beginning of the 17th century. Jubei was known for wandering Japan, sometimes as a spy for the Shogun, and righting injustices with displays of his extraordinary swordsmanship. Kind of a Japanese Knight of the Roundtable.

In 'Ninja Scroll', this part is played by Jubei Kibagami, an itinerant ninja. He is drawn into clan politics when he comes to the aid of Kagero, a female ninja in service to the Yamashiro clan. To save Kagero, Jubei must successfully challenge Tessai, an evil ninja (one of the Eight Devils of Kimon) with the ability to turn his skin into stone, and the strength to chop walls down. Jubei succeeds, but Tessai swears vengeance, leaving Jubei deeply entangled in a struggle with the Shogun of the Dark.

The third player in this contest is Dakuan, the Shoguns spy. He is a deadly old man who recruits Jubei by giving him a poison that will kill him in a day and a night. Dakuan informs Jubei that Himuro Gemma, an old enemy that Jubei was sure was dead, was still alive, and, in the company of the Devils, was at the center of the plotting. Jubei, Dakuan, and Kagero must defeat the evil ninjas and discover the purpose behind the killing of an entire village.

Kagero is a poison taster, and, as a result, is permeated with deadly toxins. She can never take a lover, because even her kiss would kill. At this point in Japanese history such a woman was an outcaste, having little value in the eyes of her society. Jubei shatters her world when he insists on treating her as an honorable human being, creating a strong emotional tension that plays against the simple samurai action of the main plot.

Production qualities of the film are beautiful, echoing traditional Japanese art forms with a fine sensibility. Line and color are strong. Violence, of course, is present, but is tightly controlled, not dwelt upon. This is one of the best and most representative films of the more conservative Japanese traditions of anime. Worth seeing for its historical status as well as for its outstanding artistic values.

4-0 out of 5 stars Even good with overdubs
The thing that bothers me the most with Anime from Asia is the sometimes horrible overdubs in English that sound flat and unimaginative. Ninja Scroll (and Princess Mononoke) is an exception.

The drawings are as always superb and the story line is as well. This story is about Ninjas in 16th century Japan, but with supernatural powers. REally interesting.

It is very graphic and the language is sometimes very coarse, does make it more 'real' in some strange way or another.

Really good movie, watch it twice, once in Japanese, once in English and be surprised

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite Anime flicks
Ninja Scroll is about a masterless ninja named Jubei who basically wanders around Japan looking to work for anyone worthy of his service. he eventually gets caught up in a change of events that force him to fight the Seven Devils of Kimoen who are trying to take over Japan and rule it by force. this movie contains a number of cool characters and very innovative villians with unic powers. there is lots of sex and voilence in this movie so i would recommend waiting until your at least 13 before veiwing this. i(being the Anime obsessed Otaku that i am) enjoyed every bit of this and i recommend that any fan of Anime should check this out.

10/10

3-0 out of 5 stars Mehh....
I don't want to piss the NS fans out there but I don't see how good this is? I mean I have to agree with one reviewer, this is one of the coolest animes but I didn't think it was a masterpiece.
The story was alright but not big!
The animation was great but not excellent.
The action was great.
Over all it was an alright Ninja flick. Though I think this film is a little overhyped.

Also I have a problem of people saying "OH THERES A RAPE SCENE! OH!
Gimmi a freaking break its not like you see what going on! Even though you have the sence of whats going on it's still stupid how people make a big deal that you see like a 2 minute rape scene which you barley see anything but a nipple shot. Jeez.

Now I must say the violence is over the top. Especially when one guy gets both his arms ripped right off. EEWWWW thats gotta hurt.

Over all I thought this was an alright flick I guess.
Check it out for yourself and give your opinion on it. ... Read more

Description

The space colonies have grown tired of the oppressive rule by the Earth government, a corrupt organization ruled by people who have no real interest in the colonists or their well-being. Their rule is unjust and unfair, but not unopposed... Resistance forces in the colonies have created five special Mobile Suits (robot-like vehicles) called Gundams. Five young pilots have been selected to sneak these Gundams down to Earth and begin a guerilla campaign that will end the Earth government's rule forever. These pilots appear little more than children, but they carry the hopes and dreams of thousands of people with them as they descend to Earth to fight for their freedom. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A promising start to an excellent series.
If you ask any anime fan,or more specifically those who like the giant robot genre, two names are constantly mentioned as being the best. The Macross and the Gundam series.Personally,I've always wanted to experience Gundam and I was patiently waiting for someone to bring over the Wing series. It certainly was worth the wait.

The story in the beginning seems simple enough.Humans have reached outer space and built colonies there. But after some time, the Earth government then finds some excuse and seizes control of the colonies and abuses it's citizens. In retaliation, the space colonies build five mobile suits called Gundams(they're made from Gundanium alloy, hence the name)and send them with their young pilots to Earth to destroy the Earth government by disguising them as shooting stars.Unfortunately, the plan is exposed and one of the Gundam pilots finds himself in a serious situation.

The story in this anime is superbly crafted, you may think it sounds like your average big robots story but it certainly is'nt.It discusses the ideals and motives behind war,and the people involved in it,and it quickly transcends that to an exploration of the human soul itself. The lines between right and wrong blur and you're often forced to question your own ideals and judgement. Then as more of the plot and characters are shown to you,you get the feeling the story is closer to a drama than your typical anime series. Not to mention that the cast of characters is strong and complex even from the beginning, and each seem to have their own reasons for doing what they do.

The animation is quite good considering this is a T.V. series, even though some flaws do appear at times and the music just complements the action on the screen. There are some nice camera angles that I hope will continue as the series evolves. The DVD is excellent. The menues are styled after the cockpit in the Gundams, and we are given a few extras for good balance.

Warning:This anime is certainly not for the faint of heart or those who need their heroes to be all-around good guys. While there is no blood and gore. And I don't consider it to be a violent series,I do know that there are people who can't stand explosions and death. If you're one of them, stay away from this title.

All in all, this is a promising start to what appears to be an excellent series. You are given a giant robot or mecha anime with quality in every aspect of it.And it's on DVD,and it has five episodes on it.I think it's more than worth the price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coolest Anime yet!
This anime is very cool. I've heard that Gundam has quite a number of series. I've been told that Gundam Wing attracted a large number of girl audiences. I'd have to agree. There are 5 main characters, all boys. Heero Yuy (Japanese), Duo Maxwell (American), Trowa Barton (Latin), Quatre Raberba Winner (Arabian), and Chang Wufei (Chinese). For some odd reason, these characters are, shall I say GOOD LOOKING! The time is set at the year AC (After Colony) 195. People now inhabit space in space colonies. A secret organization, OZ, led by Treize Khushrenada (quite charming looking) has disrupted the peace in the colonies by assassinating the pacifist leader. Certain rebels from the colonies send super powerful mobile suits called Gundams to earth. The story deals with the politics of war, the confusion war brings, and the stupidity of war. The 5 main characters have distinguishing characteristics. Heero is quiet and very serious. Duo is very happy and humorous. Trowa is stoic and shows little emotion. Quatre is very tender-hearted and kind. Wufei is very proud of himself and doesn't seem to impressed by anyone. Personally, I think that Gundam Wing has a very easy to follow story line. I like all of the characters, good and bad. I'd give it 10 stars any time!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but...
Ah, Gundam Wing. Like many other Americans, this was the series that got me "into" anime (unless you count the time I spent watching DBZ, but I'm trying to forget that particular bit of fandom). One of the spinoffs from the original UC (Universal Century) Gundam storyline, Gundam Wing takes place in the AC (After Colony) timeline, giving it no connection to its predecessors... or so Bandai would have you think. Although GW was my first anime series and will always hold a certain place in my heart (somewhere far, far above DBZ), after a few more years I decided it was time to look back on it with a more critical eye. My perceptions had changed with experience.

It's not that Gundam Wing is a BAD series... it's just not very good. I don't need to bore you with too many story details, since the plot is summarized perfectly well in the Amazon review above. It echoes the conflict of the UC timeline (spacenoids versus Earthlings, although neither term is present here.) The problem is entirely in the execution; Gundam Wing is very slow and repetitive.

Let's take it from the top. The series spans 49 episodes. Fifteen to twenty of these could be cut without impairing the story one bit. These extra episodes are generally interludes in which one of the Gundam pilots meets the people - usually townspeople or guerilla fighters in some wartorn part of the world. After a couple of these, however, you realize that they're all pretty much the same: a Gundam pilot lands, talks to some people, hears a little speech about how great Total Pacifism (tm) is, and then is forced to fight to save his new friends from a sudden onslaught of bad guys. Conversations between the rivals Heero and Zechs follow a similar pattern, with lots of harping about the nature of rivalry and conflict (I lost count of the times somebody said "Why are we fighting this meaningless battle?" during the series.) Ultimately these speeches are nothing but filler - they sound nice until you realize that there's very little substance to them; they're there solely to make the series sound more intellectual than it actually is.

The politics of the story are similarly repetitive; the Earth and colonies are seized by a series of evil organizations, with another always appearing to replace its destroyed predecessor. You learn nothing about any of these groups, and don't really care when a hated enemy suddenly becomes the Gundams' ally.

Fans of UC Gundam will notice many suspiciously familiar events and characters. Zechs and Relena, children of a murdered visionary who end up on opposite sides of the conflict, replace Char Aznable and Sayla Mass from Gundam 0079. Heero, Zechs' rival, is intended to echo Amuro Ray - although while Amuro was human (sometimes annoyingly so), Heero is a flat and lifeless character. The Zero System replaces the superhuman Newtypes. Colonel Bask's colony laser from Zeta Gundam appears in two different incarnations here. The original concept for Operation Meteor (described in Endless Waltz) is a blatant recycling of Operation Stardust and the Zeon colony drop, while the final battle on the Libra battle station is a ripoff of the finale to Char's Counterattack. Even Endless Waltz continues the tradition, with Treize's daughter Mariemeia and her captor Dekim Barton replacing Mineva Zabi and Hamarn Karn of Zeta Gundam and ZZ.

The series' "action" is very weak, consisting of invincible Gundams mowing down hordes of hapless enemies - combat seems entirely too easy, and there's very little sense of danger at any time. About halfway through there's a brief stretch where the Gundams inexplicably start losing, but it's only a couple of episodes before they're back on top again. To top it off, the animation is pretty choppy, and there are many scenes where the same clip of animation is pasted onto different backgrounds to represent different locales.

I could go on, but you're probably getting the picture. Although GW is still a decent show, it lacks the intensity and depth that makes other anime series (the UC Gundams among them) great. It's fun mindless entertainment, but once you move on to something smarter (Cowboy Bebop was my next series), you probably won't look back. Not bad as an introduction to anime, and a good serious show for younger viewers... but those who demand MORE will look elsewhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars Gundam is good
For all you GW haters out there, you need to cool off! I've seen the original series, 008, 0083, 8th MS team, and Seed. I enjoy Gundam Seed the most. GW is a close second. You can complain that the story was too complicated, or too unrealistic, but look...Gundam design has changed since 0083. Gundams are more bad ass than ever. You want to bitch about the past, fine, you do that. Your kinda like someone that thinks DOS is great, and won't switch to Windows cause you say "look at all the cool thing I can do with DOS." The original series sucked! The White Base looked like a retarted floating box. I'll stick with the newer age Gundam thank you! I recomend 0083, 8th MS, GW, and Seed.
GW has it all. Cool charaters. The best mecha design out of all the series besdies Seed! GW was a bold experiment for the Gundam series and it succeded much to the Relic's (old Gundam fans) dismay!

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the best anime series of recent years
INTRODUCTION:
Ever since the late seventies, the Gundam series has been one of the most successful and widely-loved anime series in the world. It has become a favorite of many over the years. There have been several different sub-series over the years, and one of the most popular ones of which is the Wing series, released in the mid-nineties. This is a DVD featuring episodes fromt that series. Read on for my review.

BASIC PLOT:
The Gundam Wing series follows the exploits of five young men who pilot mobile suits against the forces of an organization seeking world domination. There's Heero (the main man), Duo (the cool guy), Trowa (the quiet guy), Quatre (the peace-lover), and Wufei (the overconfident hothead.) The battle rages on for forty-nine episodes, and as the series progresses, a number of plot twists keep things interesting. This is a rare example of a series where the characters aren't paper thin - they continue to evolve as the series progresses. This is one of the best anime series out there, as one of the best mecha series.

SERIES OPINIONS:
To put it simply, this is an excellent series. Many fans of the Gundam series call this the best sub-series of all, and honestly, who can blame them? The storyline is great, the animation is great, the characters are great - everything about this series is great. It's good to see the series get a long overdue DVD release in America.

DVD:
These DVDs are good, because they contain several uncut episodes, but they're bad in that they don't contain any special features (that is, other than the very basic DVD stuff.) The series is one of the greatest anime series out there, but don't expect any bonus material.

OVERALL:
Overall this is an excellent anime series, and I recommend it to any anime or mecha fan. If you like either one, this series will not disappoint. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Dragonball Z- Great Saiyamn- Gohan's Secret
If you are a loyal DBZ fan then you have to see this. In this tape you get to see little trunks for the first time. You'll also get to see Gohan become the Great Saiyaman. It is quite funny to see Gohan try to talk like a hero and screw up. The downside to these episodes is there isn't too much fighting action, more comedy. Again its a must see to any loyal DBZ fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars DBZ AT IT'S BEST !!!!!!!!!!!
I love dbz and Gohan is my favorite character . The great saiya man is gohan as a super hero undercover, cool huh. what's even cooler is that Goten will be entering the saga soon !!! Gohan is at high school and dosn't want to be known as a super hero so he wears a coustume . True dbz fans have waited along time for this , it is a must have !!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome episodes, awesome animation.
This is one of my favorite Dragon Ball Z movies ever! This is when Gohan becomes the Great Saiyaman. For those of you that are used to Gohan still being 11 years old, I should tell you that he is 18 years old now. But don't worry, because he's very cool this way. One thing I found out later in Dragon Ball Z is that Gohan was (believe it or not) stronger when he fought Cell than he is now. In this you are also introduced to Goten, Gohan's little brother. For those of you who are puzzled at the fact that you have never seen him before, this will un-puzzle you. Goku (not to be perverted) got Chi-Chi pregnant again shortly before the Cell Games started, and Goten was born sometime after Goku died. And we finally see Trunks again, who is now 8 years old. To my surprise, Vegeta is a lot nicer to him than before, in fact, Vegeta even smiles when he sees Trunks defeat Goten in the World Tournament Junior Division. But back to Gohan. In the first episode on this tape, Gohan becomes Saiyaman for the first time, which I already mentioned. And he saves a bus full of elderly people on a tour of Satan City (which was once South City, but was named after Hercule because he defeated Cell, or so he says, but you know that Cell was defeated by Gohan). And we also see Videl, who is Hercule's daughter, she's a bit pushy and kind of has a problem with minding her own business. She thinks her dad defeated Cell but she later finds out in the Babidi saga that Gohan was the one who really defeated Cell. In the episode before this, Gohan, before he was Great Saiyaman, goes Super Saiyan and defeats a bunch of bank robbers. Then he gets to school and finds out that everone is talking about a Gold Fighter. Videl also finds out in the Babidi saga that Gohan is the Gold Fighter and that he is the Great Saiyaman, well, she actually finds out that he's Saiyaman in that last tape to this saga. In episode two, Gohan thinks that a girl named Angela discovered that he was Saiyaman, so he goes out with her to keep her from telling, actually, she threatened to tell if he didn't date her. Gohan soon finds out that Angela has been keeping a secret about Gohan wearing teddy bear underwear. Gohan also goes Great Saiyaman and in this episode and saves a building from being burned to a blackened crisp. In the third episode, Videl goes out to fight the Red Shark Gang (because she often fights crime) and gets into a stranghold. But then Saiyaman appears (surprise, surprise) and saves her. Whoo, that was a mouthful. Anywho, Great Saiyaman "Gohan's Secret" is a DBZ movie for any fan of Dragon Ball.

3-0 out of 5 stars Gohan's Secret
I was a bit disappointed at the lack of fighting in the Great Sayaman saga. I have to admit that there were quite a few funny parts in it,but hardly any fighting. Therefore I rate it with 3 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Vid!
This video was wicked awesome!!! Most of it is absolutly hilarious!!!!!! If you are looking for fighting in this movie you have come to the wrong place. This is jam packed with laughs for even parents! (I know. My mom watched it and she laughed her head off.) The funniest part was when Angela was trying to tell Videl that Gohan wore TEDDY BEAR UNDERWARE! Gohan tried to stop her by screaming as loud as he could! Hehehehehehehehehehe!!!!!!!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars funny
This is a funny movie were Goku and Piccolo learn to drive! If you are collecting all tapes i recomend it or if you want a funny tape get this one. IF you want a tape with fighting in it i sugest a tape from the sayian saga!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
This tape was good, but it only has 2 episodes. Though it does have the Histroy of Dragonball Z that tells what happened up until now. I hope everyone trains well because it doesn't help at all.

3-0 out of 5 stars Ahhhh, It's Okay.
The only reason I got this tape is because I wanted to finish off my Trunks Collection, though it had nothin to do with the other episodes. All they do basically is train, and Goku and Piccolo learn how to drive. I wouldn't really recommend this tape to anyone, but its an okay tape.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
Anyone interested in the whole Dragonball Z scene can do without watching these episodes. They had nothing to do with the previous Trunks episodes, and the future Android saga. They were clearly meant to be funny, but I did not find them humreous. Just another attempt for Funimation to obtain more money from poor unsuspecting DBZ fans.

4-0 out of 5 stars Prepare for the future
To tell you the truth there are other tapes I would rather get then this. Unless you collect all the dbz tapes, I recommend you just watch these episodes on cartoon network. All they do is train. The last episode Goku and Piccolo drive. Not as good as I hoped. It is not that bad, but I'm just saying don't get this unless you like getting all the tapes. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars The Next Great Sayiaman [But Boring] Tape

But Gohan quickly suits up as the Great Sayiaman and rescues the dinosaur from slavery! But Videl confronts him and a battle brews, Gohan careful not to cause any damage to his schoolmate. But when Gohan proves to be too much for little Goten, Goten roars with energy.... turning his hair gold, his pupils blue and his muscles budge..... and the young warrior transforms into a Super Sayin!

1-0 out of 5 stars This show.....
Is stupid and annoying. One word for Gohan's love interest "Witch"
or "Evil incarnate".
Strong words. Gohan "moron" amazing they rhyme.
Really lame. Eat some Fruit Loops and Cocoa Puffs more intellectually sound than this drivel.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kawai!! :)
well what can i say??
Gohan-chan is so cute!!LOL
plus its so funny esp. when angela catches him wearing teddy underware!
well i hope every1 who has watched this vid had fun!!

3-0 out of 5 stars GOOD, but not great.
I have mixed feelings about this tape. Heres what I though about it:

Cons- 1. First of all, Gohan's voice in not what I expected. I thought FUNimation would get it by now and start making cool voices. O well, it's not a major setback. 2. The music. I was actually satisfied with the Cell Saga music. In fact, I enjoyed it but I was disappointed to see they didnt keep that up. Not too annoying jst adds a kind of childess sense that the Jap version never had.

Pros-

1. You get to see chibi Trunks for alittle bit and Chibi Goten for a while which is sweet since theyre new characters. 2. You get to see Gohan go SSJ, sweet. 3. You get to see Goten go SSJ for the first time on an episode! The best part.

I was picky and gave this movie a 3. It was a good movie....I reccomend buying Babidi movies and buu movies that will be out later .... They have way more action. I am looking forward to them. Hope this helped you.

5-0 out of 5 stars More of the ever hilarious GREAT SAIYAMAN!!
The latest video in the Great Saiyaman saga is truly a declaration. A declaration of justice, courage and super goofyness. Here's my thoughts:

1) Gohan is still a dork. But now he is a SUPER dork (dork power!!). Yet as smart and sweet as ever. Sadly almost everyone in the video complains about his new updated Great Saiyamn outfit for the tournament. What's wrong with it? Looked pretty *hot* to me. I love a guy in superhero uniform..^_^

2) Videl...rocks! Especially in this video. Finally we get a female semi-Z fighter. She goes at it with Gohan with the fierce growl of a tiger that she is and even ends up blackmailing the poor sweethearted guy.

3) Trunks and Goten are way cute in this vid!! Check out Trunks dissing Gohan's outfit and laugh at Goten's antics, especially when annoying big brother!

4) Then Goku makes known that he is returning to Earth!! Ahh..*sniff"* Goten will finally be able to see his daddy. Wonder if ChiChi can smooth away her wrinkles before her hubby comes rolling home?

Now I completely reccommend seeing the next in the series! Cause Goku is coming back! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Master Buichi Terasawa
I have been a big fan of Master Buichi Terasawa for almost 13 years since I first saw one of his greatest comic book series called "COBRA" in 1990. What is his background? In 1976, he came to Tokyo and began to study under the famous Japanese manga artist, Osamu Tezuka. During the period he was working with the Manga Department of Tezuka Productions, his illustration work entitled "Mother Earth, Turn Green Again" was awarded the Tezuka Prize for Outstanding Creative Work. From around the beginning of the 1980s, he began to see the personal computer as a tool for the creative purposes. In 1985, he kicked off an eight-color comic book series called "BAT". In the ensuing years, in parallel with advances in the personal computer, he created "TAKERU" (1992), the world's first computer graphics comic book series. Next came "COBRA, BAT, GUNDRAGON SIGMA, GOKU, KABUTO" and several other works. They are very few artist that can come close to matching his ideas and quality. His works include original works, scenarios and works he has directed. At the present time, annual sales of his full-length comic books exceed 20 million copies. Buichi Terasawa's works are translated and published in more than ten countries and are featured in comics and animation-related gatherings and exhibitions around the world.

Out of a few animation videos series such as GOKU, KABUTO and others which first introduced to the world sometime in late 1992. Also, keep this in mind that this anim VHS serie which almost 11 years old, and I personal think, this is one of the greatest videos collection ever made by Master Buichi Terasawa. It is one of many rare jap Anim video around... trust me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Film
I personally think this is a great movie. This also references to the first person's review about "Ninja's aren't supposed to have wings". The thing is, this movie is an adaptation of a popular manga("Karasutengu Kabuto") by Buichi Teriwasa. The character, Kabuto, is a member of the raven tengu clan, and being part of that clan, has the power of the raven, which is what Karasutengu means in Japanese, which is why he has large raven wings. There are only two things I didn't like about this movie. First, the original manga villain, Douki, the demon lord, was not the villain in the movie. And second, the Demon Sword, "Flying Dragon", that Kabuto possesses, was featured in the film, but did not carry the significance that it carried in the manga, for instance, in the manga, the sword talked. But, all in all, an excellent film for anime fans, and great music too. I wish their was an available soundtrack!

3-0 out of 5 stars NOT GOOD
the 1st guy who rated this movie must have only seen this anime, because its not that good. First of all, its not even an hour long. 2nd the animation is ok at best. The movie is sorta good though, because therre is violence and blood and the bad chick gets naked a the drop of a hat, which is fine in my book. The story is ok I guess, but i have one rule, NINJA SHOULDNT HAVE WINGS. I suggest that this guy should rent Ninja Scroll and then change this review.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Anime I've ever seen
I am so glad that Amazon is selling this video, as I've been trying to get ahold of it for 5 years. The art is fabulous, and the storyline is killer. Kabuto is one of the great characters of all time. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It tells the about the past, and how they find the Negaverse.
The Past Returns was a really cool episode. It has two romantic scenes featuring Serena and Darien. It explains about the moon kingdom. This is my all time faviorite episode of SailorMoon!!!! The Day Of Destiny is very sad. Something vey terrible happens to the sailor scouts including Darien. This is an excellent movie if you like adventure, romantic, action, and friendship. So buy this magnificent video of Sailor Moon's "Good Queen Bad Queen"

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES!!!!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE! "The Past Returns" tells about how Queen Serenity takes them back and shows them what it was like on the moon kingdom before Beryl attacks. It has some love scenes with Serena and Darien. "Day Of Destiny" tells about the Doom & Gloom Girls, who Beryl sends to destroy the Sailor Scouts. Serena beats Beryl, with the song "Carry On" in the backround. At the end it has the song"It's A New Day." YOU'LL LOVE IT, I DID!

2-0 out of 5 stars Its okay
(i'm NOT 12 years old, i'm 14, so what?)
This video is one of the first pieces of Sailor moon mechantdice. What I don't like about the video is that it only contains two episodes and its the dub version. At the time they first started putting out episodes of Sailor moon on video it was only two episodes that were "the best". But Sailor moon wasn't the only cartoon/anime that got this kind of video treatment at the time(i can name some of those cartoons if you want me to).

The episodes contained on this tape are the last episodes of the season one dub(you still have to put up with that AWFUL Sailor Says, ICK!)

The cover picture is American drawn with a Barbie doll pink backround and has a glittery rainbow border(oooh, pretty colors!)

By the time when DVDs came out, ADV flims took over and made new Sailor moon videos(and they put FOUR episodes on the tape, not two, thank goodness!)

I think the video it self was good(i guess) but save your money for the ADV version or the uncut version(uncut is ALWAYS the best way to go!)unless if you are a hardcore fan who has to have EVERYTHING.

4-0 out of 5 stars So Sailor Moon
I think this tape is good but the japan version is much better its 22 minutes longer because its a 2 part episode I got mine fansubbed at Mina Arnolds Fansubs they have all The sailor Moon episodes in japanesse with english subtitles. I love the end of each seaso nbecause the bad guys die and its cool but in the japan version you se all the first 5 scouts die its kind of sad and not for young children but good forkids older then 11.
also recomended all sailor stars episodes avalible at Mina Arnold Fansubs holdbacks are sailor moon is nude the scouts die the new scouts sailor starlights are boys but when they transform there sex changes and they becaome girls and they use a swear alot. This series should be watched once you are 13 but it is the best season of Sailor Moon the hit tv show.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Senshi defeat Queen Beryl!
A truly great video for any age-It makes the perfect gift! I loved this video! it's so cute and funny and it's truly wonderful in every way. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Just a little above average fare...
Kosaku Hatanaka is the Mukaida Gym's pride (sort of). He is a natural at boxing, but he can't control his voracious appetite. Kosaku eats anything and everything. As a result, his weight goes up and he is forced to fight in heftier weight class bouts -- giving his coach (and himself) one hell of a time. Sister Angela is a young novice nun who feels for Kosuke. She encourages him, and does whatever she can to make sure Kosaku is in shape. She knows Kosaku loves her, and what do you know... it looks like she has feelings for him too (though she doesn't want to admit it). But nuns aren't supposed to have romantic relationships. How can this love be?

One Pound Gospel is the anime adaptation of Ms. Rumiko Takahashi's manga series of the same title. It's a nice video. It's got the usual Rumiko touch of fun and wit. I didn't find it as striking as her other works, though. But then again maybe it's because I'm not really into boxing. The plot is quite daring. It explores the potentials of a relationship that's considered taboo. We have a novice nun as our female lead here, and this is a romantic comedy. Sister Angela is remarkably characterized. She feels all the things a girl her age should, and yet she doesn't act holier-than-thou despite her novice nun-ness. Her sense of duty to the church conflicts with what her heart tells her. OPG definitely has its golden moments. My fave scene is when Sis Angela goes off to the local bar and unwittingly drinks her frustrations away. That was really funny. If you've read the manga, this is your chance to see that scene animated. It's equally amusing. The art and animation are below par. Although based on Ms. Takahashi's drawing style, they don't capture any of the cuteness or charm of the manga art. Sister Angela looks like some sort of fat cow here, thanks to her super bulky clothes. The manga shows Sister Angela in a swimsuit and she's nowhere even near chubby. Given these visual flaws and the general lack of plot elements, I'd have to say that OPG the anime is just a little above average fare. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars What a ride.
DVD begins.
Zombie kills some guy.
Then tons of goofy non zombie related stuff happens.
You forget you are even watching a zombie movie.
It becomes a HK slacker comedy.
You kinda get into the characters.
Then all hell breaks loose.
Suddenly this Abbot and Costello episode is Abbot and Costello meet Zombies, and then people start dying left and right. And this silly movie suddenly gets hardcore and turns into a real zombie movie with really silly looking FX, yet it's too late.
Like how Giant Robo started of all innocent and fun and suddenly became hardcore and heartbreaking, the same happens here.
Some interesting zombie ideas. Some truly funny moments.
And one of the best endings I've ever seen.
One of those hidden gems you'll never forget.

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best zombie movies I`ve ever seen!
I bought Bio Zombie not knowing what to expect, and it ended up being one of the best investments I ever made. This movie is pretty high-quality for a Hong-Kong/zombie film, two genres which I love but know fall short in the quality dept. This film has comedy, action, cool music, and a good amnt. of gore also the mall it takes place in is awesome. the zombies are pretty cool looking, especially the guy they run over in the beginning. And the decapitation scenes are gross, and hilarious because they beat up the head afterwards. Also this movie has a great ending. It has many references towards videogames such as House of the Dead. I love this film and recommend it to lovers of zombie films and Resident Evil games. If you dont like subtitles beware they go rather quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Silly fun
Bio-Zombie is one of those movies that surprised the pants off of me. I'm a zombie completist so any movie that features the undead I will want to watch, whether the movie has a reputation as being a stinkbomb or not. Well let me tell you Bio-Zombie is one of the most pleasureable experiences I've ever had watching a dead dude film.

The two central characters are a couple of young punks who go by the names "Crazy Bee" and "Woody Invincible". The two own a small DVD counter in a shopping mall. While driving a car on an errand for a friend, the guys accidentally hit a man who was standing in the middle of the road. The man survives and while trying to help him up, our two heroes feed him a soft drink that happens to be a biochemical experiment engineered by some Mafioso types. The two guys drive the man back to the mall in an effort to clean him up, but then of course the man soon turns into a zombie. Soon, the contagion spreads and the mall is overrun by hordes of the undead.

Anyone sitting down to watch Bio-Zombie should not expect a horror movie. It's a zombie movie but not a horror movie. Huh? Well imagine if Kevin Smith had decided to add packs of zombies into his movie "Mallrats" and that will give you a pretty good idea of the tone of this film. Witty dialogue, vanguard youth, clever pop culture references all of it done Hong-Kong style. Even though more of a comedy than a horror film, this certainly doesn't disappoint in the gore department. Lots of arterial sprayings and gut-munching Romero-style.

The fact that there's no zombie action until the midway point did nothing to curb my interest, the first half of the film was very good at providing laughs and setting the tone. Even the two central dweebs, who were extremely annoying at first and who aren't much smarter than a couple of ten watt lightbulbs, really grew on me after a while. Other great characters are "Sushi Boy" who becomes a zombie with feelings and compassion, and "Rolls" one of the cutest girls I've ever seen in an Asian movie. Sure, Bio-Zombie is dumb as all get out but the filmmakers KNOW this. Bottom line is that Bio-Zombie scores humongous points in the fun department and that is why you should watch it.

4-0 out of 5 stars A NICE MOVIE
OK,The first time i watched the movie i didnt like it that much because i wasnt used to japanese movie styles, but the second time i liked it more.
The movie has some quite good action and nice little comedy it gets alittle scary at the end.
The ending was alittle depressing. It ends tracing to the two survivors contamination.
This movie has alittle similarity to resident evil. You should see it,its quite nice.

4-0 out of 5 stars So stupid, it's good
Totally B-rate zombie flick with an absurd plot and barely better acting. However, while it'll never be critically good.. if you watch it to be entertained and get a few chuckles, this one would work. The movie is about 3 stars, but I give another star for Rolls. ... Read more
