5-0 out of 5 stars Certainly a work of art
Yes, everyone gushes about this movie, so I'll try to keep it less so. Roger Ebert once said "When anime fans say how good the film is, nobody takes them seriously." Ouch, but he is right. When looking at this movie, don't view it as "anime," that catch-all word that congures up images of creepy teenage girls, neverending fight scenes, and poorly dubbed movies. Rather, view this as an animated movie about an aspect of WWII that we don't always think of.

It seems brining up the topic of this movie results with two knee-jerk reactions. A) This is an Anti-American movie where Americans are blamed for all deaths in Japan while ignoring Japan's role. OR B) An indictment of America for killing these two children, and a call to avoid war at any costs.

The first is a poor description of this movie due to the movie's elements. Americans are almost never mentioned, save as the pilots of the inhuman planes that fire-bomb the villages. The movie instead raises questions that many should be able to ask: who was at fault? The Japanese people for refusing to help these children? The aunt for expecting too much of a 14-year-old boy traumatized by his mother's death? The Emperor of Japan refusing to surrender when he was obviously defeated? Seita for having too much pride? The Americans for retaliating after Pearl Harbor? Or, as I wonder if the movie suggests, that when people are dying of starvation, politics and finger pointing cease. The movie spends almost zero time blaming a set of people for Seita and Setsusko's situtation (interestingly, the only "bad guys" there seemed to be in the movie where people like the farmer who beats Seita for stealing his crops). When people are set in a blame-first mentality, it's refreshing to see a movie that has little of this pop-culture quality. Because of all of this, the 2nd Knee-Jerk reaction to this movie ("I'm sure Bush had a hand in this!") is incorrect as well.

Overall, everyone else has done a good job of describing the basic content of this movie, so I won't repeat it all. However, this movie is recommended for those who want to see the power of an animated movie that is usually not done in the US. The characters of Seita and Setsuko are so well done (I don't think I've seen a 4 year old portrayed that real in a long time) and strong that you can't help but have a sinking feeling in your gut everytime you know something is going to happen to them. Most notable, Setsuko is not a stereotypical cartoon child. She cries wildly during the night -supposedly due to bad dreams about the war, she refuses the food that could keep her healthy, and plays around her cave with an utter disdain for the war going on around her. There are no cutesy catch-phrases to sell Burger King cups by. By the end, the wasting away of the characters is a very difficult things watch. In the end, I didn't cry (I'm bad at this, I rarely cry at movies), but was still speechless for a few hours afterwards. This is not a movie to watch if you are emotionally unstable at the moment or prone to depression. But, you will be moved. We are fragile.

5-0 out of 5 stars Moving. Hits on many levels. Perfect
I have never reviewed a film on Amazon but I am compelled to because this is such a fine one. I did not expect, what I feel to be one of the most eloquently told and moving stories, to come in animated form.

Sure, I've seen almost all of Miyazaki. My kids love them and I love, for instance, the playfulness of Totoro and how Kiki finds her self confidence. And then there is the technical brilliance of, say, Spirited Away.

But Takahata's Grave of the Fireflies is a cut above. It shattered me emotionally, yet somehow uplifted me spiritually. I don't see it as a sad movie, devoid of hope, as someone wrote here. It is a beautiful tragedy with a message to tell. It is a film for adults and it hits on many levels and I am still seeing meaning in it after three times viewing it.

The hope comes from the love of the brother and sister for each other and their dignity. Despite their many hardships they are, with a few exceptions where Saita completely breaks down, well mannered. Meanwhile, everyone they meet cares only for themselves, or at least shows a rude ambivilance towards the two. The contrast is incredible. Yet, judgement is not passed upon them. It is left to us to judge. Nor is judgement passed on the enemy, whom the closest we get to, is seeing them as they streak overhead in their bombers.

Also, the hope is shown by the "spirit" Saita and Satsuko who shadow the real characters at important crossroads in their lives and in the very last scene as ghosts watching over modern Japan.

But the movie is not about Japan or World War Two or even War itself. It is about compassion and the human spirit. As a film, it is most like Schindler's List and the same emotion and depths of emotion I felt in that movie I feel with Fireflies. Everyone should see this movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars Grave of the Fireflies. A masterpiece of the creative form
Ever since I became a writer somewhere around 1996 or 1997, I've had an intense fascination and desire to create things that touch readers, whether through saddness, fear, or happiness, because I think that when a piece, either written or on screen, touches you emotionally, it leaves a lasting impact on you that can lead to a better understanding of the world around you, and even possibly yourself as well. I think that as a creator, this is the greatest achievement one can reach, and I have the utmost respect and admiration for anyone who accomplishes this very thing which I so eagerly wish to achieve.

"Grave of the Fireflies" is the sad tale, based on the semi-autographical book "Hotaru no Haka" by NOSAKA Akiyuki, which tells of the author's experiences during the aftermath of World War II, in which he lost his little sister to malnutrition, for which he blamed himself.

In "Grave of the Fireflies," 14 year old Seita and his 4 year old sister Setsuko lose their mother after the Allied forces bomb their village. Their father is in the Navy and at sea, and hasn't been heard from in a long while. Without going through the entire plot, suffice it to say that the story is a moving and frightening look back at the lives of two young children who should never have to face such horrors at their tender ages. The tone and mood of this heartwrenching piece is set from the very first scene, when Seita utters the fateful words "September 21st, 1945. That's the day that I died."

Before watching "Grave of the Fireflies" I'd heard that it'd been referred to by many, like movie reviewer Roger Ebert, as one of the greatest war films made, and after watching it, I have to agree. Only a person with the emotional depth of a gnat or the heart of block of wood could watch this film and not feel the emotional power of it. It's the kind of story that lingers in your consciousness long after, and forces you to see the true face of war, the REAL consequences and victims of the violence we seem all too quick to inflict upon each other these days. And the most incredible thing about this movie is its subtleness, its complete lack of political propaganda or any attempt to try to blantantly force a moralistic ideal down the viewers throat. Director Isao Takahata shows supreme trust in the story itself, choosing to use the beautifully illustrated film to portray the tale in all its moving glory.

In Japan this movie was shown in schools as an educational piece. I don't know if this has been done in America, but I think that it should. We need to learn to understand the entire spectrum of war, and on an even more basic level, we just need to teach our children the lessons of empathy and compassion so that when they find themselves in positions in which their decisions impact others, they'll take care to consider the consequences before making those decisions. I also think that every world leader should be forced to sit down and watch this film over and over until its message is ingrained into the nooks and crannies of their brains, because it often seems that compassion and empathy are qualities sadly lacking these days.

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST FILMS OF MY LIFE (AND THE MOST SAD)
(I'm sorry but my english is not very good.)

I've seen this film some days ago, and now i continue thinking about the story of this film.

I felt love, happy, sad and pain when i watched the film.

The history is about 2 children that are in the middle of the War in Japan (WORLD WAR 2) and they have to survive without parents and without money.

Only i tell you that I have NEVER cried so many like in this film.

You must to see it!!!!!!!!

pd1=I think that should be obligatory to view at school.

pd2=I'd like that all governings of the world watched this film.

pd3=I recommend it for people older than 14 or 15 years. (It's too sad for the children)

5-0 out of 5 stars A Sharp and Bitter Taste of Tragedy
What a tremendous achievment. It is rare for a film with this kind of scope to be politically and nationally nuetral, just showing what it was like to live and die in a horrific time as World War 2. No finger pointing saying that it was the American's or the Allies' fault. No blame on their native homeland of Japan. Just the chance to watch and even feel the senslessness of war, poverty, inhospitality, and the worst result of any war, just or unjust, death. And one of the most amazing aspects of this film is that it is a cartoon! But after watching for only five or ten minutes you don't remember that its a cartoon, you are immersed in the real world, surrounded by people just trying to survive, even though the animation struck me as being very Hanna Barbarous.

To truly convey the sense of immenent tragedy and hopelessness throughout the entire film they have the opening scene showing Seita (one of the main characters) die and his spirit reunite with that of his sister's, Setsuko, whereupon we watch the rest of the film as Seita remembers the events unfold around them. Right away we know that whatever they go through, whatever good or bad happens to them, Tragedy is lurking somewhere, waiting to strike.

Personally, from then on, almost every scene was heartbreaking, but none more so than watching the slow degeneration of his sister's body trom malnutrion, but thankfully not her spirit. This is not to say they were all harsh. There were a few scenes that were just centered around the joy of being alive, but even then there was always something to remind us of what was going on around them. I was as happy as they were getting to watch them run down the beach and into the ocean, or seeing them chase fireflies outside of thier aunt's house, but the best time for me was their first night alone in the cave, and to help his sister to not be afraid, Seita helps Setesko catch a bunch of fireflies to light up their darkened abode. Seeing the wonder and enjoyment on her face was almost enough to bring me to tears after all the previous emotional despair. And it was then extra sad to see them wake up in the morning to dead fireflies and then taking the time to dig them a grave. Very touching.

This young girl, while visibly suffering, was generally more prone to have fun and let her attention be diverted. You can see this come to its fufillment when Seita gives her a bite of the watermelon, and she uses her last words to say that it tastes good. No complaints about the pain she is obviously dealing with. No crying out to her brother that she doesn't want to die. Just a simple way of saying thank you to her brother. In this same scene we also see how much Sieta truly cares for Setsuko. After giving her the bite of watermelon, he generously sets a piece on her chest, and the rest within easy reach. Instead of breaking his fast with her, Seita selflessly rushes outside to start the rice cooking, more for her than for himself. In his rush to meet her needs he doesn't even realize that she has said her goodbye to him, and she dies while he is in the act of helping her in the only way he knows how.

Another heart rending scene is after she dies and we see a rememberance of how she played and tried to help take care of their small live-in cave. Seeing all that innocence shown so purely in the face of a child in the midst of war moved me to tears and made me thankful to be a father of a similar aged little girl.

This is a movie that truly stays with you and changes how you look at things. Normally after watching a movie I will read, write, or socialize with my wife of friends for awhile. Not so after this one. I went to bed deeply impressed by what I had seen. I awoke the next day thinking about it. I had one of the most mellencholy days that I have ever worked because I was in a constant remeberance of it, trying to soak up all the lessons in it, as I knew I would not watch it again for a long while. It was almost twenty hours later that I finally picked up a book again, a long time for me. And even now it is still right there, beneath the surface of my normal thoughts. Just writing this review brings back vivid scenes.

One last thought about the movie. As other reviews have said, it was upsetting to see the way their aunt treated them. She basically drove them out of the house in all ways short of actually telling them to leave. But one cannot really blame her for her actions. Sure she was being selfish. But she was also living in fear. It really was taxing her family's resources having them there. There wasn't much to go around. In these kind of circumstances most people will try to hold onto everything, becuase you might not survive if you have to share your meager things with others. She shared with animosity and disaproval of their every action because she had no ideathat giving out of Love and a desire to help your fellow human will bring you more back in return.

My final words are watch this. Even if it is hard for tuo to see, or brings up things you thought were past, watch it anyhow. You will be better off for it. Personally I would not recomend letting children view this though. Let them retain their innocence while they have it. War, pain ,and death are not pretty sights, but even less so for our young ones. ... Read more

Enter the world of Digimon Digital Monsters. This video contains three separate stories: "Biyomon Gets Firepower," "Kabuterimon's Electro Shocker," and "Togemon in Toy Town." Each of these features a group of kids: Tai, Sora, Matt, T.K., Izzy, Mimi, and Joe. Along for the adventure with them are assorted Digimon. In "Biyomon," a mysterious black gear lodges itself into Meramon (a Digimon with fire power), making him into a fireball of destruction. Biyomon must digivolve into Birdamon to cool him off. In "Kabuterimon's Electro Shocker," the group rescues a robotlike Digimon called Andromon, but he turns out to be hostile and almost unstoppable. Again, a mysterious black gear seems to be the culprit. Kabuterimon launches a shocking attack and scores an unlikely victory. In "Togemon in Toy Town," a large teddy bear named Monzaemon has the aforementioned black gear stuck in its body. The results are a raging stuffed bear of destruction. Our gang must find a way to dislodge it in order to make Toy Town safe. Looks like a job for Palmon. This series digivolves into Pokémon, featuring the same simple animation and plots that will baffle the adult crowd. --Peggy Maltby-Etra ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Deeper and more interesting than Pokemon!
I considered myself a moderate Pokemon fan. I watch it regularly, but when I miss an episode, I really feel like I didn't miss anything! I know what's going to happen pretty much. I'm never left on the edge of my seat, or cursing& swearing when it's commercial time! Well I do all this when I'm watching Digimon! I'm a FANatic! Digimon is just superior to Pokemon! Digimon is like a soap opera! Each episode make up one whole story. Usually Pokemon each episode is a story. The story and the animation is far superior to Pokemon and Pokemon fans know this to be true, but won't admit it. The battles are alot better and the plot have purpose and direction. The charcter Digimon and Human have well defined personalities and each episde the grow and evolve. Not just the Digimon, but the kids too! They also fight for a good and true cause( to save two worlds), not to satisfy a boys ego! Pokemon is kinda like those people who fight pitbulls or other animals for sport. Digimon are also not captured and forced to become enslaved gladiators. I mean why would a pokemon who is living in its' natural habitat want to be captured an put in a small ball and be released to fight; compete in a silly competion or help a little boy travel? Pokemon are suppose to be quite intelligent, so I think they would rather be in the wild like most animals. After watching Digimon the many flaws in Pokemon are magnified! Plain and simple Digimon is superior!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is what makes Digimon flourish
How can Anime go wrong when drawn by the creators of the 2 most famous animes? (Dragonball, and Z; Sailormoon) These episodes are Kabuterimon's Electroshocker (also known as the Andromon ep) the Togemon in Toy town ep (one of my very favorites) and I'm not sure, but the 3rd might be the Yokomon village one! That one was a must see for Sora lovers. And that's it! If you bought the first volume, you got the gold lined digimon cards that you can't find anywhere else. Who knows what (or if) the suprise is this time! In my very highly rated opinion (egoalert) this is a must buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Digimon Dying?
Although most people think digimon and pokemon are the same thing, I know that they aren't. It may be true that pokemon seems more pointless, but what most people don't see is that its digimon thats dying, pokemon lives! This is the best season of digimon, most everything makes sense. But in the seasons after they just think about digivolve, digivolve, digivolve! In season 5, humans turn into the digimon, it is by far the worst season yet. In season 4 humans mutate with their digimon in a form of digivolution. In season 3 the digimon digivolve by means of a card. Although this season has the digivolving with the eggs, it's one of the best seasons left. I hate armour digivolution, it wrecks Angemon and Angewoman.

5-0 out of 5 stars Continuing the digimon saga
This video continues right where the first one left off, and now that they've set things up and given all of the starter information the characters get a chance to develop, and the plot really gets to take off and get interesting.
Digimon is a lot of fun for all ages. The series has got all of the qualities that make a cartoon a classic. The characters are easy to relate to, the animation is super cute, there is a moral in every episode and the series is jam-packed with adventure. This is one cartoon that parents can sit and enjoy with their kids.

3-0 out of 5 stars I have it, and it's okay
I'd say its okay. The ones wiht Kabuterimon and Togemon are kinda unusual. It's not all the time champions "beat" Ultimates. That's what confuses me. BUt I like the part in the Biyomon Digivolve one where Biyomon gets rolled down the hill with Meramon's fire ball. Not the rolling, but how Sora "rescued" Biyomon. In all these three episodes, I'd say "Kabuterimon's Electro Shocker" is the best. THe wierd thing is, I think about that is that Greymon and Garurumon together couldn't beat Andromon but Kabuterimon did with one single hit. It's true maybe some Digimon have advantages but this one? I'll have to think about that. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Contrived.
It's been a long time since I watched this series. Based on the manga series by CLAMP, the animé is actually a little different in feel from the manga. Unfortunately, only two OAVs were ever produced (to my knowledge), both of which illustrate key points in the manga series, but without knowledge of the manga, this series may not be entirely interesting for some people. However, at the same time, it may interest people to look into the manga (like me!) to find out more.

CLAMP's drawing style is quite unmistakeable; especially the eyes, and I have to admit to being rather partial to their style. The animation quality in the OAV is a bit of an odd mix however using a combination of some very nicely detailed shots, combined with camera pans over less detailed still drawings. Definitely not a high budget production, but using the budget in an innovative manner. The music is a bit unusual; rather dark in places, and makes heavy use of a synthesizer, but is still well done. The translations are also decent although there is occasionally a bit of awkward wording due to literal translations. The story while interesting on its own leaves many, many questions which are not answered unless you go to the manga series (ex. just who is Kujaku? ) Unfortunately, these questions won't be answered in the anime. There is a brief background narrative at the beginning of the episode which helps to fill in some of the history which passed and gives the viewer a starting point. Otherwise my only problem with the animation, was that I find the concept of exchanging looks in animé just looks too contrived.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my all time favorite's from CLAMP
Truely, a excellient piece of work. The animation is actaully pretty good with a really interesting plot. The fight parts are specacular. Such gripping action is sometimes rare when it comes to some titles in anime. Like all work by CLAMP, the artwork is absulutly beautiful which makes it more fun to watch over and over agian.

However, despite it's great action, character design and great plot, the ending seemed far too rushed. But in most short anime it always seems hurried. It could have been longer but yet still, I would be proud to recommend one of the greatest anime series of all time.

4-0 out of 5 stars I wish it had more episodes.
the movie is great has a really cool storyline , but it doesn't unfold like I wish it would , you're really getting into it when it stops (?!) , I was wondering if there where more episodes on sale , but for my surprise .. No -_-* , that its really sad.
but still , its good.

3-0 out of 5 stars Please finish it!
I cannot stand the animes that I have read before and then when I watch the DVD I get really dissapointed! Everything was too simplified! The story did not make sense unless one read the books! The books were superb but this... terrible! It needs another DVD!!!!

However, if you read the books you will see that it cannot be compared to the books...

4-0 out of 5 stars one of the best anime ever

Ten years after the live-action A Chinese Ghost Story was a hiton the international art-house circuit in 1987, producer Tsui Hark creates an animated version of his tale. The wildly imaginative film of a human who falls for an enchanting ghost contains many of the ingredients of most anime films: an odd, sometimes incomprehensible story, bizarre creatures, and great action sequences. Giant monsters follow our pair of lovers from hell to earth to heaven, with assorted samurai warriors helping along the way. While the content demands the comprehension of those at least 8 and up,this film fills an important section of anime for kids who have outgrown Pokémon but are still too young for the sometimes brutal world of adult anime. A film this creative deserves an audience. --Doug Thomas ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars not a kids film but a great film
I must admit that i have never seen the original live action movies of "A Chinese Ghost Story". Therefore, I am basing this review on the movie itself. I stumbled on this film at work, took it home and watched it. I was amazed with the innovation of this movie. The animated characters fit nicely with the cgi background. There have been other movies that have done the same thing like "What Dreams May Come". There will be other shows, and movie that have and will follow suit. The story itself is very tender, sometimes melacholy, but these emotions lent themselves to the overall atmosphere of the movie. The relationships between the two main characters, was wonderfully done. This movie was about finding something and holding on, and love. Overall this movie was very sweet and tender

I will call you later if I get the chance, maybe even use email if I can get connected. We shall see. If you want you can leave a message for me here, put the word Liza in the review title.

Use the children's review form, you do not need an email address.

BTW it is a fine film for all you who are interested. I was lucky enough to see it on TV a while ago....

1-0 out of 5 stars I hate to be a wet blanket
My brother brought me the original live action Chinese Ghost Story movies (1,2,and 3) from Japan and I loved all three. They have become some of my favorite movies of all time. I was expecting the same level of story and animation to match the imaginative visuals in the live action version but I was sadly disappointed. The story was acceptable, but very pale in comparison to the live action movies. Not really anything to write home about. There did not seem to be much, if any, of the tension or humor from the live action films. Unfortunately, the quality of animation was definately below that of most feature lenght animated films. It is pretty much on a par with what I see on saturday morning cartoons here in America. I was most disapointed with their attempt to mix 2D and 3D animation, the style of the ghosts in this film reminded me of old Scooby Doo cartoons from when I was a kid only a lot sillier looking. use this movie as a benchmark of what not to do when making an animated film.

If you are looking for an animated kids movie, I would recommend some of the old Miazaki films like "Castle in the Sky: Laputa", "My Neighbor Totoro", or "Kiki's delivery service" over this film. Definately I would say rent this one before you buy it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not for everyone
I liked this movie quite a bit, but the friend I watched it with didn't. The story is very strange, almost incomprehensible at times. I generally don't like it when computer animation in mixed in, but here it actually worked pretty well. If you like computer animation and don't mind your anime being pretty weird I would recommend this tape. Also, keep in mind that some of the other reviews posted for this animated movie were actually referring to the live-action film produced by the same director.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous animation, but what storyline?
I didn't see the live-action movie and had no idea what this was about. I bought this one based on its "award winning" designation (it won some animation festival somewhere). The good point is that the animation, which is a combo of computer and conventional animation, is superb. It *looks* really cool and is cool to watch. On the downside, the storyline itself is almost non-existent, something about a boy who's in love with a ghost. Not much plot to keep me interested, so fortunately the animation kept me interested. Also, the English dubbing is not that good, on par with your typical Saturday morning over-acting. If you're an artist or animator this may be interesting, but if you are a new animation fan or a parent looking for a good foreign anime, you'd do better with Hayao Miyazaki. ... Read more

This Japanese import featuring five teenagers with superhero powers may turn out to be for older girls what Pokémon is for the pee-wee set. The fantasy-action story lines of Sailor Moon (named for the leader) is typical anime fare--which means it's far more creative than anything you'll see on Saturday morning. And far more complex--the stories are intricate and flashback sequences feature wordless narrative. Then again, what high-spirited girlwouldn't love the magical makeup that transforms hip schoolgirls into butt-kicking heroines? In this one-hour feature, we meet a new foe, a mysterious childhood friend of Sailor Moon's boyfriend who returns--from deep space! His evil plan to rid the Earth of life includes flowers with awesome powers, vine-covered foes, and telekinetics. Quite the challenge for Sailors Moon, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter. Despite the action, the series certainly has a different feel and color scheme than most male-driven anime. The Japanese have two terms: shonen (for boys)and shojo (for girls), and if girls haven't had a chance to see the shojo anime, this is the starting point. This subtitled version is uncut fromthe original Japanese cartoon, and the reading crowd above 7 is the appropriate audience for the video's occasional spookyimagery. This unedited version was soaked up by kids in Japan, but the cultural differences might be questionable for American parents. There's a brief, nondescriptive conversation about homosexuality and ghostly naked figures (think Barbie doll) that areillustrated, although it's not nudity as much as the female form. The dubbed version has minor edits in actionand dialogue, targeting a slightly younger crowd. --Doug Thomas ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful! But the dub is probaly horrible
This is my favorite Sailormoon movie and I've seen them all with Japanese subtitles. It is a wonderful story about friendship and love. It starts with a mysterious friend of Mamoru's appearing and then people in Tokyo are attacked by a enery stealing flower. And to top it all off, an astroid with plants on it is headed towards Earth. Could these events be related? My favorite part of this movie is the wonderful battle scene when the Senshi are fighting Fiore and Kisenian. I'm not going to say anything more about that, you'll have to watch it yourself. I absolutly love the song Moon Revenge. It is my favorite song of all Sailormoon, perhaps of all the songs the I've ever heard. I have heard that this song isn't in the dub. Oh my God, what you dubbies are missing! This is the first time I've heard the actual voices of the characters and the wonderful acting that comes with Japanese seiyuu (voice actors/actresses). I had an idea that they were better than the dub voices (anything would be better) but I didn't realize how much better. In conclusion, the story's wonderful, the voices are wonderful, get the sub and not the dub.

4-0 out of 5 stars The brilliant Sailor Senshi debut, Sailor Moon R
I highly reccomend this movie. This movie displays the beautiful past of Mamoru as his childhood friend Fiore becomes jealous of him and Usagi's love. Wanting Mamoru for himself, he joines the Kessian Blossom in her wicked endevor to suck a planet dry and destory it. The movie's downfall's are just that it's too short. This 61 minute feature was soaked up by people in Japan when it was in theatres Fall of 1993. Here's the DVD review:

Menu's: B+
Disc Quality: C+
Audio: B+ (Somewhat staticy)

Video: B+
Content: B
Packaging: B- (Mix of dub and sub terms is a no-no)
Inserts: A-
Translations: B+
Extra's: B

The disc quality isn't very good, that's why the audio and video quality aren't very good. The content is a B because the menu's arent taht good, and the actual video is mpstly all you get, minus a Pioneer (Geneon) interactive menu where you can see upcoming titles. The menuing isn't very good, it's too basic. Although, I wish they could have digitally remastered this movie. It would bring up the grade a lot. Also the translations... most of the time they were accurate, but sometimes most lines are very off. (Examples coming soon).
MPAA: Edited version is TV-Y7, Uncut TV-14
My rating: 12+ (some frames of nudity and violence)
Geneon rating: 13+ for Mild violence and sexuallity, scary moments

5-0 out of 5 stars It's not for 13 year olds to me.
I bought this movie 3 years ago. It was great and filled with lots of flowers. The Kisenian Blossom was beautiful, but evil. Fiore was trying to take Mamorou from Usagi by putting flowers in a huge asteroid. Usagi looked cute as a child. This movie came out in Japan in 1993. The song in this movie is "Moon Revenge" preformed by the Japanese cast of the Sailor Senshi. The song is in Japanese.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best sailor moon movie out there
Anyone who says that this movie isnt better than the subbed needs to realize what there reviewing for. It's Sailor Moon R - The Movie DVD. Which means that you have both the japanese and english language. This movie is about dariens old friend Fiore. He comes back to earth in order to fulfill his promise of giving darian flowers. Unfortunaly, the flower he finds takes control of him and uses him for world domination using flower pods. This is the best sailor moon movie out because it has the best story out of them all. A must have for all sailor moon fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Romantic!
This movie is so romantic. It is one of the most romantic films
I have ever seen! I still cannot belive Darien's friend Fiore
is the villain. When I first saw this I thought Fiore would
be a great friend to Darien. (...) Her new voice is so annoying! But the rest of this movie
is great though. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars OK, not great.
Well, the long awaited wait for the 3rd season of Dragon Ball Z is finally over and it's here and unedited! ..well, for the most part anyways. We see the blood but as always, the text is edited. The new voices aren't the greatest on earth, infact, they're lousy but that'll correct itself in time. The music quality has definitely gon down alot as well. 4 Stars is the vote this gets from me (would b better as 3 1/2 but that's not possible). The only thing that makes this a good buy is the fact that it's still Dragon Ball Z and we're all (all being those who haven't seen the Japaneese version yet) dying to see this series through to the end.

2-0 out of 5 stars don't waste your money on this, watch it on cartoon network
i don't know whats up with the voice actors or the new soundtrack. all of us hardcore fans wait forever and this is all they give us. watch them on cartoon network. i'm happy to see it airing finally but at the same time i am dissapointed. it could be so easy if they kept it true to the original. i love dragonball and this is awesome stuff but its horribly put together and i don't understand it. it didn't have to be this way. but i am also happy to see it uncensored.

5-0 out of 5 stars GO GOKOU !
Suburb.Better voice actors than the ones we have in the UK.
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Times better music than ours. And good plot.I wouldn't call this unedited.
Love the title of the episodes music and the music in the first scene. If you hated this think of us.We suffer with the worst possible episodes.Besides though you may think your episode are badly edited believe me.Spend one day in the UK and you'll laugh your heads off at us.

5-0 out of 5 stars New voices,new music ....
Okay!First of all I think this video has 3 great episodes
Second, the new voices aren't as a good as the first ones but if you live in the UK like me then you wil LOVE these voices. Are show is 10 times more edited than yours and our music is awful. On the point of music I love the music to this. These were some of the only episodes that you got that we also recieved. After the Trunks saga our show.Well it pretty much died.Anyway I love the music thats starts the actual episode plus the music in the episodes.Sounds unclear though.

4-0 out of 5 stars Goku X 10!
Well, Goku finally arrives on Namek, and his power is so great he trashes the Ginyu like they're nothing. It's pretty good, the action is interesting but not great, considering that Goku doesn't face anything worthy of him yet(meaning Freiza). I'd really only recommend this for serious collectors, because it's not a good video unless it's in a series. However, if you intend to get the second Ginyu tape and the beginning of the Freiza saga this is a great buy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent DVD, worth the buy
This is an excellent DVD in all respects save the cover. (The cover is incredibly stupid if you didn't notice. An irrelevent screen shot.) There are two versions on this DVD, like all Dragon Ball Z DVD's except for Saiyan/Namek Sagas. This is actually the second DVD of the first uncut saga in American Dragon Ball.

The two versions it contains in the English Dubbed version and the Japaneese Subbed version. I reccommend watching both, although some hardcore fans only watch the Subbed. Even though most of the dialog is changed in the Dubbed version (and the music is much worse) it is still a very fun watch and highly enjoyable.

The DVD and story itself is really good. It has an exciting battle between Goku and Ginyu and the demise of Ginyu is really great and pretty funny too. It's an excellent DVD and I highly reccommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome conclusion for Ginyu saga!
I watched this DVD and loved it! It was violent and funny! It was great! I watched both the English dub and Japanese version.
To me the english voices suit them better. The music is better in the english dub also. I took off a star because they could have put trailers or a better menu and a scene selection. But besides that it was the best!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great DBZ DVD
This is a great DVD cause first off you get 4 episodes instead of 3, so already its off to a good start. Second you get crafty Captain Ginyu. Then you add alot of Vegeta kicking butt and then you get even better. Last but not least you add a hilarious ending to the whole thing and you got yourself a winner. Please buy this DVD today its a real treat.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great, but lacks the flashyness of most DVDs
The Japanese version of DBZ is infinatly better than the English, so I would reccomend buying this instead of a VHS. The whole thing is kind of plain (no previews, boring menu, and only 2 chapters per episode) so only get it if you really like the Ginyu Saga or if you're trying to make a complete DBZ collection.

4-0 out of 5 stars Tricky Captain Ginyu
This DVD contains four episodes of the fight between Goku and Captain Ginyu. Nail tries to stall by "fighting" Frieza. The menu is the worst I've seen and exactly the same as Captain Ginyu - Assault. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Coming To DVD SOON, Plus a 2nd Series
This anime is incredibly funny and WILL BE COMING TO DVD SOON accord to the publisher. Also there is a "Those Who Hunt Elves 2" and it will also be released on DVD. Yes I mean they will be released here, as in the US. Speaking for myself I can't wait. If you want a series to pass the time try Martian Successor Nadesico. Its funny and have a decent plot with good character development.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointingly simple and sophomoric.
"Those Who Hunt Elves" is the perfect Japanese anime equivalent of an American sitcom -- while it's funny at times, most of the time it's just boring and disinteresting.

The premise itself is amusing, in a sophomoric kind of way. The parts of a spell have been scattered and are now on the bodies of elves across the planet.

You can see where this is heading, right?

Hunt for elf, find elf, strip elf. Yep, that's about the size of it. Sure, it seems as though there might be hope on the horizon, but the premise itself, along with simplistic animation and less-than-interesting stories give one little reason to dish out the cash for the second tape when the first one was so lackluster.

Put simply, "Those Who Hunt Elves" is for a specific kind of audience only. Everyone else need not apply.

5-0 out of 5 stars Funny funny funny
Funniest anime I have ever seen in my entire life. I mean, come on, a flounder guy that can't swim, an amazon elf wearing a patch over her eye because she's embarrassed to show the spot there, an beautiful elf elder stuck in dog form and pissed as hell about it, a gal faking a broken ankle so the guy who loves her will get defensive and start fighting, and a group of guys and gals wandering the land and stripping elves. "I plan ahead for every emergency... *pause* Ah, screw it. CHARGE!"

So buy this, or steal it from a friend, or "eat s--- and die!" (Yes, actual quote from the anime.)

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST MAGICAL JAPENESE SERIES
I dearly loved this movie, it was spectacular. The only thing I may comment on is that Junpei was always fighting and talking about himself, I wanted to see more of the other characters. But other than that I total was knocked out and impressed by the plot. Espcially the way Celcia becomes a dog named poochi and complains alot, not to mention getting into arguments with Junpei alot. You will definitly love this movie. If you liked all those other Japenese series than look into this one. Only real bummer thing is that it's only 12 episodes and the series may not completely end, leaving us viewers with alot of questions. Don't fret though it's still a good start for the best anime series in the world. Now go and buy the thing, MAN !!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Second Best Fantasy Anime released in the USA
Those Who Hunt Elves is one of the best Fantasy animes out there. As you've read from other reviewers the characters in the show go around and strip elves to find the piece of a spell fragment that got accidently put on 5 other elves. Although this does sound a little bit perverted no nudity is really shown. Parents should shy off showing their children the first episode (not the first tape just the first episode on the first tape) because it contains harsh language...but thats really the only problem for children. For anyone else its one of the best fantasy animes. Also they have a tank in this series. Yes a tank. It goes around well basically blowing stuff up in a fantasy anime. Which alone makes the series a billion times better. The tank is a T-74 and whats scary is that its drawn correctly and works accurately to real tanks. It does not unseat Slayers as the crown for the best fantasy anime but it comes very very close. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Only the japanese...
Hanzo the man made of steel (and I really mean the whole man). He fights evil and corruption in Edo-Japan in his own ways. Untouchable as Eliott Ness, but with the very strange habit of tortureing Women with his... well... real big schlong. And of course torture leads to pleasure because Hanzo the Blade knows how to use his tool right. Yes, this is political uncorrect japanese Trash at it's best. A kind of japanese Shaft (even the funky score reminded me a little of Shaft), just a little bit naughtier... Don't even try to take it serious or you'd have a problem watching these movies. 3 Parts to the series (every one an own movie for its self), part 2 (this one) and part 3 are the better. Don't look one after the other in too short time, because the buildup is pretty similar to every movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars interrogation has many sides
I have been trying to find out just how many of these films exist. I've seen 3 of them.. They combine all the familiar elements of the midieval japanese samurai (I don't have my Alain Silver guide handy) drama.. with some funny and very welcome twists.. The main character is a constable with a kind of rogue ethic, a Ronin cop, if you will, who holds corruption over his bosses heads so he can get his way...He also has a kind of rogue aesthetic.. especially in his interrogation techniques.. the 3 films I have seen start with him "conditioning" his sexual organ with various techniques which could only be described as masochistic.. but you see, this uh, tool, is his interrogation device, and he uses sex to interrogate the females in the particular case.. These are not porno movies, but rather a very wonderful Bawdy Samurai/Comedy Action Thriller Hybrid.. The tone is totally serious.. but it comes off hilarious.. especially his rube-goldbergian security devices that protect his house.. Please if anybody knows tell me where to get more of these films.. I'm definitely a fan.. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Just barely veiwable.
The plot is terrifyingly non-original, and the characters themselves remind me of any other anime character, so there is nothing of interest there as well. The desighns are not all that nice looking either. I wouldn't actually *buy* this tape.

3-0 out of 5 stars Human-android relations probed in sequel to BUBBLEGUM CRISIS
BUBBLEGUM CRASH was a 1991 spin-off of BUBBLEGUM CRISIS and continued the adventures of the gorgeous young Knight Sabers as they combat the aggression of rogue "boomers" in 21st century Mega-Tokyo. Interestingly, I saw this tape, "Geo-Climbers" (episode 2 of CRASH), right after watching the first three episodes of CRISIS (see my review of BUBBLEGUM CRISIS: ARC 1: MASON) and I found this to be a vast improvement over those episodes from the earlier series (which reportedly got better as it went along). For one thing, "Geo-Climbers" tells a coherent, gripping, imaginative story that truly explores the implications of a society which creates bio-engineered androids and then embarks on a love-hate relationship with them. Here, the rock-singing Priss, one of the Knight Sabers, finds herself saddled with a runaway Boomer, Adama, which was created to be as human-like and non-threatening as possible. Having earlier declared, "I hate Boomers and the jerks who make them," Priss is forced to reflect on her attitudes as Adama saves her life and tries to be a good companion. At one point he asks her plaintively, "Why do you hate Boomers?" This hits close to home for Priss since Adama was created from plans perfected by Dr. Stingray, father of Priss's fellow Knight Saber, Sylia. All this happens while the evil Dr. Yuri sends a team of gun-wielding Boomers out to recapture Adama, followed by a monstrous new Combat Boomer which gives the Knight Sabers a run for their money.

I liked the animation and design better in CRISIS, chiefly because of the bold lines, bright colors and graphic simplicity. There may be greater detail here, but the linework is softer and the colors more muted. On the plus side, there are not as many intrusive songs as in the earlier tape and, most importantly, the writing is so much sharper and the story clearer and more compelling. While it's important to note how much this series owes to such Hollywood sci-fi as BLADE RUNNER and ROBOCOP (which provided the model for one whole plot thread here), it's also part of a larger body of anime that probes the meaning of humanity in a world where humans and androids co-exist in a mutually dependent way. As such, it looks forward to the later anime sci-fi classics, GHOST IN THE SHELL and ARMITAGE III.

3-0 out of 5 stars Lackluster sequel, good in its own right
The original BGC OVA series was meant to be thirteen episodes, but was shortened to eight when funding ran out and companies split up. The result? "Bubblegum Crash!" This production fails to live up to expections. The original is a favorite among many fans, but this sequel is often dismissed as a shoddy rehash of old plotlines in a rushed and unfulfilling attempt to finish the story. It doesn't work. The animation is mediocre, the music is poor, the story is immature, and the antagonist is... redundant? Yeah. Characterization is also so different from the first eight OVAs that some cast members are unrecognizable. Relationships have dissolved for no apparent reason, and others have taken on bizarre and unsettling new dimensions, with a hint of pedophilia. Plot elements are of the eyebrow-raising variety, as is interaction between humans, Boomers, and anything else. It's a very sentai Bubblegum. The high points? It does technically conclude the BGC story and the final episode focuses on Sylia and the moral question of how 'human' the Boomers really are. Almost fascinating, but a bit too preachy for my tastes. Saying more would spoil the fun.

Overall this anime tries too hard to fit too much into too little. It's too action oriented and the characters and story are shallow. The final episode DOES have some insights into Sylia that are worth salivating over, but they were executed in a manner that leaves much to be desired. Recommended to fans of the original eight episodes, but not to someone who did not care for the original.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pulse-Pounding Music! Babes in Battlesuits!

4-0 out of 5 stars Really great!
It's got all a girl needs! Beautiful character design (especially on Zell-sama! He's so pretty!), a hot plot, snazzy outfits, love, odd dreams and fantasies, and a few 80's flashbacks! Shoujo fans, stop here! The sad thing is the few seconds of screen time given to big robots and machinery. The robot's presence is the sole reason I didn't give this five stars. I just detest robots. The cover of the sub is simply fantastic! In case you want to search for and Japanese-ish stuff regarding the movie, it's original Japnese title is "Genmu Senki Leda".

4-0 out of 5 stars A Strange Adventure into Early Shoujo Anime
This is a pretty fantastic video. A schoolgirl loves a boy at her school, and composes a beautiful piano peice to express her love for him. Before she can play it for him though, she is sucked into a strange planet in another dimension, and gets caught up into a strugle to take over the Earth. This might seem like sci-fi, but it's almost pure fantasy. It has everything a girl needs: Beautiful male villains, love, music, adventure... It has good (if odd) music, decent animation, and a great storyline. You should probably go for the Japanese dialogue/English subtitled edition though (they're both the exact same price, and how many times does that happen?). The English dubbing features odd accents, and the typical crazy voices that most anime got in the 1980's (sometimes it gets so bad that you'll be laughing). A little warning though, sometimes Right Stuf (the publisher) runs off flawed VHS tapes. They have a comment card inside each box. If you have a problem, go to their website and they'll exchange it for free. I really recommend this tape highly to any girl out there who has liked Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Rayearth, CardCaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, or any of the other various shoujo anime out there. This title gets overlooked a lot. But don't think that just because it isn't famous it isn't good. Unlike most of Right Stuf's unknown titles, this is a really great video.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cool, but very very strange.
Picture if you will the following; a teenage girl listening to her own, self-composed song as her school crush walks by. Now picture a dazzeling display of light, then imagine the teen in a lush forest area. Her name is Yohko. Yohko suddenly finds herself on the back of an enourmous tirtle creature with moss on its back. Yohko losses grip of her tapeplayer, along with her sacred song, which is a love song that bassicily confesses Yohkos love to her crush. She is befriended by a flying dog that can talk english. Then Yohko and her new found friend get chased by a group of carrot monsters. But Yohko falls into a giant flower and transforms into a warrior with magical powers. She defeats the evil carrot monsters and then proceeds to chase after the carrot-riders on a speeder-thing. Soon, they reach a strange ruins, and a huge mech that looks like a cross between Carrot Top and the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz; the Mech is controled by a somewhat kawaii girl. Sound a little weird? It should. But there's more. The Enemy is a raging transvestite (well, I'm not sure what he/she is, but "transvestite" is a pretty close label). It acually trys to comes on to Yohko! But the weird thing for me is that this anime is meant to be serious. Despite the witty plot summary on the back of the box, the anime never once tries to crack a joke. It's strange, but I was really entertained by this title. The plot is fairly coherent, but again, its very strange. Surreal is a good word to describe this title. The final verdict is...well...it mostly depends on your taste. Maybe it's Yohko's song, maybe its its character, its fantasy concepts, but this anime is quite enjoyable. All I can say is see it for yourself and decide.

1-0 out of 5 stars Really REALLY Bad
I can't belive I wasted my money on this! I loved BGC 2010, so I was expecting something along the same lines. Boy was I wrong! This show is extremely slow, and the animation looks like a bunch of paper cut outs being moved along a digital background. While things start to get a little more exciting towards the end of the tape, I still felt like falling asleep. ADV must have felt the same way because they canceled the rest of the VHS volumes and now are just doing a DVD release for the whole series in one collection. If you have to see this series RENT it first. Otherwise watch the original or BGC, ...

5-0 out of 5 stars A.D. Police vol. 1 Bad Blood
The history behind the events on this three-episode tape is this: a great earthquake demolished the city of Tokyo. Genome Company helped to rebuild the city using cyborg's called Boomers as their unpaid and convent labor. The city was then renamed Genome City. Problems have arisen in the city due to rogue Boomers who have been dubbed Voomers (Voodoo Organic Metal Extension Resources) who have runaway, caused accidents, and have been the cause of violent crimes. A special police branch called the A.D. police was created to deal with this new, high tech threat.

Act 1 Partner In the first episode a young, loner, and unconventional A.D. police officer named Kenji Sasaki whose previous two partners have all died while working with him decides to involve himself in a hostage situation that has taken place outside of his jurisdiction. The situation in question involves a man with a stick of dynamite who has taken some people in a building hostage. He threatens to light the dynamite if his ex-wife isn't brought to him. After handling this situation Kenji and his partner Paul Sanders just happen to be cruising near an area where a runaway Voomer is at and so they decide to split up and take the Voomer out from opposite sides. Unfortunately, Paul is seriously injured in the process taking Kenji's number of lost partner's up to three. Eventually Kenji is partnered with a good-looking German man named Hans Kleif and they just happen to not get along which makes things interesting. Also Hans begins his pursuit of the affections of a cute nurse.

Act 2 Runaway In this episode a runaway Voomer just happens to take-over an ambulance that Paul happens to be in. Naturally, Kenji goes out to try and save him. His new partner Hans and his love interest also end up getting involved in the situation.

Act 3 Bargaining In this episode a seemingly important and intelligent villain named Liam Fletcher is introduced and Hans and Kenji finally learn the meaning of the word teamwork.

I'll admit that I've never ever watched Bubble Gum crisis or any other series related to it before but I thoroughly enjoyed this tape and I'm looking forward to the next volume to learn more about who's really behind the recent Voomer activities and where Liam Fletcher fits into all of this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great spin-off of Bubblegum Crisis......
Excluding the fact that the theme music [stunk], this one movie truely is a spin off the established BGC Storylines.

While the Armored Foursome don't appear (and established AD Police Officers Leon McNichol and Dailey Wong don't make an appearence here as well; plus the fact that the storyline doesn't have a setting of MegaTokyo, rather Genom City; and, the time seems to be around 2032, where the original series began(not the 2040 version), the story revolves around Officer Kenji Sasaki, a Officer that seems to have the knack of having his fellow partners either killed or maimed. Plus, he has a serious Loner problem and always breaks the rules; and, he cannot deny his regular police roots.

While slapped with Administrative leave, he gets a German Partner named Hans Kleif. Let's just say how they met is best left for viewing via the tape. (Also, Hans has a serious secret...one that can get him killed at anytime.)

With a chance to redeem himself after his previous partner is seriously injured in a VOOMER Attack (Yes, it's VOOMER, not BOOMER in this series), he must not only work with Hans, he also must face personal demons and figure out the serious rise in VOOMER related incidents (all the while trying to work with his teammates).

While the Animation seems to be outdated and old, truely one to watch, and in the similar vein of the BGC saga.

3-0 out of 5 stars A better deal than VHS, but still above average.
For all four episodes on one tape and in three languages, this DVD isn't really a bad deal. Burn Up Warrior follows the story of a dispatch team known as Team Warrior, which handles obscure cases that cannot be placed into specific categories. It's also impossible not to notice that Team Warrior consists mostly of large-breasted women. There's not as much nudity as one would imagine, but there's some, and plenty of bouncing to accompany it. As for sound, Burn Up W has a great opening theme song that has an easily likable tune. The dubbing for the most part sucks, but who says you need to listen to the English track? The anime itself is a cross between comedy and action, but the execution on both is only average.

Starting off with a terrorist demand for a nude bungee jump which has to be performed by the Warrior Rio, the stories feature other fun crap like an Evangelion parody and a trip to a used underwear shop. Eventually it wears down to a hard-boiled revenge story; in episode four, Team Warrior has to dispose of three deranged murderers which make for some decent fight scenes and a strangely whimsical battle theme. Alas, the main organization behind everything is never destroyed, and the grand conflict is never resolved. The DVD is by far a better deal than the VHS tapes, which have only one half-hour episode on each one.

One last note, this anime isn't rated 18 up, it would be more like 13 up. This is far from hentai, which is 18+ anime.

4-0 out of 5 stars "There's a shooting spree in accounting"
ahhh, the tongue in cheek anime genre, gotta love it aint cha, they manage to spoof everything including themselves. The two main girls, rio and maya, are overly endowned, as most pf the female characters are, but purely for humorous intent, and humerous it is.

techinically, the animation is some of the best you're likely to see from an anime series, the detail is great, althogugh it does lack in some areas like minor characters and backgrounds.

The music, is just great, wheras episodes 1 and 2 are laugh out loud funny, the second two are more serious and emotional, what is commendable is that these characters progess believably, and are consistent, its not like they are going for laughs, these are who they are.

classic scenes are evident evwrywhere, rios constipation, maya trigger happy nature and the funniest evangelion tribute/joke ever. Complete with many spoofs of mission impossible, die hard with a dash of inuendo from yugi and rio's love-hate? relationship

This is really opne for those who like their anime funny and serious with lots ofr action, a bit of everything basicly. Did you like project a-ko, slayers or tenchi? if so this is for you, its also on one disc so it s cheap, like the budgy.

why did i give it only 4 stars if i praise it so#? thats a personal peeve as to the fact that its only 4 episodes period, theyran out of budget or something and leave the series on a ambiguous note, if only adv would put up the money for a second outing for the warrior team.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Anime To Start
I would like to first say that this was the very first Anime I ever saw and since then I've loved it as well as a small group of other anime. The characters are funny and you've gota love that hair they have. The only boy in the show is a prick which is always nice. :) Wouldn't recommend it for small children, but for teens and adults, I STRONGLY recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Anime Fanservice ^^
Burn Up W, What can I say? Team Warrior has to uncover a conspiracy behind mind altering drugs. But the fanservice is great. Light nudity here and there but lots of jiggling cleavage and panty shots.Id recommend this and Burn Up Excess to anyone into comedy and police Anime. This DVD has great extras and plenty shots of Rio but not enough of Maya.... Anyway if you like the pervertive yet shy guy Yuji or the gun crazy Maya.Get this DVD

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must See!
I'll admit I initially bought this anime for the "animation", but after watching it I found the plot to be just as amazing. Everything was simply superb from the great animation to the compelling plot. From all the anime titles I've seen I'm glad I got this one. It has just about everything and quite a bit of each, but don't let that keep you from seeing it! ... Read more
