5-0 out of 5 stars A really fun movie. I've watched it over a dozen times
A Low Down Dirty Shame is a great movie that pays homage to the blaxploitation films of the 70's. Keenan Ivory Wayans does a great job of mixing action and humor in this cool detective story about a PI looking for $20 million in stolen drug money. The supporting cast is very good here; Jada Pinkett and Salli Richardson aren't just eye candy, they give good performances too. However the only fault is with the film is Charles S. Dutton who overacts as usual. ALDDS is a great popcorn movie that will leave you smiling. Definitely buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars FUNNY ACTION!
This action comedy is a very good movie to watch. I recommend this movie because Keenen Ivory Wayans acts well as a comedian and action fighter and Jada Pinkett looks and talks so cute in this movie. Salli Richardson (who is also the voice of Elisa Maza in Disney's Gargoyles) is very sexy and deceiving in this film. Certainly one to watch and no doubt one you will enjoy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Another of my favorites
Keenan plays a down and out PI named Shame, with his wanna be PI Assistant Peaches (played by Jada Pinkett). Shame finds out the love of his life is back in town and does what he can to save her. Peaches wants Shame to notice her, and does everything to get him to do so. The movie is fun, filled with action, and will have you laughing in some parts. I Love this movie!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Average but mildly amusing time killer.
Amusing comedy homage to blacksploitation films, should collapse under its own premise but doesn't. Due largely to the chemistry between the cast, and the comic skills of the elder Wayans the film actually allows you to sit through it. Throw in a sassy Jada Pinkett and whoever that Pochohontas chick is and it's at least watchable. Convoluted plot has Wayans as an ex-cop who has a chance for redemption by taking down a drug lord and a bad cop, the guy from Roc. 20 million dollars of the drug lords money being stolen by Keenan's ex, blah blah blah. Not a lot of laugh out loud type moments, but a few smirkers despite Jada's constant head and finger wagging.

3-0 out of 5 stars i'd love to sing James Brown to one of my dogs
Ivory Wayans is Shame and he runs a buisness with his assistant Peaches(Jada Pinkett Smith) and they get a case from an old friend(Charles S. Dutton) about one of Shame's ex-girlfriends..so Shame hunts her down and takes her into his custody...also Shame is dealing with some badass mexican guy(Andrew Divoff) and he has to bobble both at the same time..wih some funny ass moments..remember the gay guy when Wayans comes into the club and the other gay guy comes up to him and it all files into this whole thing about gays..funny...and when Wayans starts to dance and sing James Brown to the dogs..great ... From Keenan Ivory Wayans, the man who brought us Jim Carrey (initially just one of the bunch on Wayans's television comedy-sketch show, In Living Color), comes I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988), a comedy spoof on the blaxploitation films of the 1970s. Wayans plays Jack Spade, an army private just returning from the service. He comes home to find his younger brother June Bug dead of a overdose of gold chains (an "O.G.") He vows revenge, and with the help of some of the neighborhood's old school heroes including Flyguy (Antonio Fargas), Kung Fu Joe (Steve James), Hammer (Isaac Hayes), Slammer (football star Jim Brown), and John Slade (Bernie Casey), Spade wages a war against Mr. Big, the neighborhood crime lord.

In the tradition of Airplane! and Naked Gun, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka pokes fun through satire and offensive comedy. The film also features some of the players that would end up on In Living Color and has appearances from such varied actors as Clarence Williams III, Eve Plumb (better known to most as Jan Brady), and Chris Rock as a rib-joint customer. --Shannon Gee ... 5-0 out of 5 stars SHE'S THE DIRECTOR'S SISTER
I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA is one hilarious film; even though many of the jokes fall flat at times, the whole is superlative tongue in cheek satire. A broad humored satire of those wonderful 70's "black exploitation" films, Wayans and crew serve up scene after scene of hilarity. For instance: a sleazy girl is singing a sultry version of "When the Saints Come Marching In," and when Wayans asks who she is, the waitress says "She's the director's sister." (She is!). When ex-football star Jim Brown asks Wayans why he thinks he's qualified to be a black hero, Wayans tells him "I'm an ex football player." When Dawnn Lewis as Wayans' sweetie gets the cramps, she really gets cranky!! John Vernon as Mr. Big spouts off why shouldn't he be in a black exploitation movie, other actors have! There are so many scenes like this that one can't help but laugh and laugh again.
Featuring a cavalcade of black and white actors, including Clarence Williams III, Isaac Hayes, Ja'net Dubois, Antonio Fargas and Steve James, I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA is a hoot to watch!

4-0 out of 5 stars I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA!
I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA! is a spoof an blaxploitation films of the 1970's. This is the first film written, directed by, and starring Keenen Ivory Wayans. Jack Spade is an Army secretary who returns home to find out that his brother has died of an O.G. (an overdose of gold chains). Jack gathers up an army of some local neighborhood hero's (Bernie Casey, Antonio Fargas, Steve James, Isaac Hayes, and Jim Brown) to help him fight and defeat Mr. Big, the crime lord responsible for his brother's death. This movie has many funny moments, especially one that has Chris Rock making an appearance as a rib joint customer. This is a film for both action and comedy fans! Keenen Ivory Wayans would go on to direct SCARY MOVIE and SCARY MOVIE 2!

5-0 out of 5 stars hilarious
one of the great films of the 80s (or was it 90s?).

3-0 out of 5 stars I love Blaxploitation...but this was ok
This film does have some very funny moments like the rib joke but I felt a wee bit let down that the script and story line was not as good as it could have been. It nice to see the old boys back (Hayes,Brown etc...) but where were Pam Grier, Fred Williamson and Richard Roundtree !!....now that would have been excellent. I love Blaxploitation but I wish this was better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Film, Funny as hell
The title caught me, but the film got me hooked. Its all silly. THe plot, the characters, and even the tongue in cheek looks at the camera. But it works. Funnier than Scary Movie and all the other spoofs by the Wayans. You must check out this sh*t, yo. Best scene was with Kung Fu Joe and the cops. I fell off the couch laughing. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Stupid......but funny
Scary Movie is a spoof of recent horror movies (I Know what you did Last Summer, Scream, Scream 2, The Sixth Sense, The Blair Witch Project)
and it even makes fun of non-horror films like (The Usual Suspects,
Titanic and The Matrix). When it's not making fun of movies though
it's making fun of everything else, how this movie round up with an
R-Rating and isn't NC-17 is beyond me because I don't think I've seen
so many penis jokes, gay jokes, or racist jokes in one movie. Scary Movie
offers alot of laughs but what got me giggling the most was the special-ed
student and part-time security guardd Doofy, the retarted deputy who's
obviously poking fun at Dewey from Scream. He was the showstealer
for me because all his lines were just hilarious and were delivered
great by Dave Sheridan. Also good in their roles are Shawn
Wayans as a gay football player who slaps the butt of each player
as they go by in the lockerroom, Marlon Wayans as a pot smoking horror
film buff. Newcomer Anna Faris as Cindy gets alot of laughs as well.
She has alot of funny scenes where she actually pokes fun at herself
alot of times in the movie and is just totally natural about it which
makes her scenes work even better. If you thought (There's Something
About Mary, American Pie or Road Trip) were raunchy well then you've
seen nothing until you've seen Scary Movie. Don't get me wrong some
jokes don't work but most of them do. Scary Movie is the funnest time
I've ever had at the movies, I can't recall the last time I laughed
so hard. It's the first time I can actually say that I really enjoyed
a stupid movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Be Afraid...
After the huge success of Scream and other popular teen horror films, it wasn't too long for Hollywood to create a side-splitting parody of the popular movie genre. A group of dim-witted teens (oddly played by actors and actresses in their 20s and 30s) are being murdered by a masked maniac. Unlike previous parodies, "Scary Movie" is a hysterical gross-out comedy that ranks as the funniest film of 2000. Though I'm not a fan of teen horror movies, there are enough unforgettable wildly entertaining comic scenes that will keep viewers laughing from start to finish. Director Keenan Ivory Wayans (Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood) has surpassed the Farrelly Brothers' unique talent for crude humor with some of the most outrageous comic scenes in years. The comic cast includes Marlon Wayans, Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie), Shawn Wayans, Cheri Oteri (SNL), Lochlyn Munro (Dead Man on Campus) and Carmen Electra (Baywatch).

If you're a fan of crude humor and film satire, "Scary Movie" is an impressive DVD to own. The hit comedy is presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen format. The DVD contains a sharp video transfer and a great 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. The opening title menu is quite nice. Its special features include six hilarious deleted scenes, trailers, a behind-the-scenes featurette and numerous DVD-ROM extras like "Scary Movie: Guide for the Culturally Challenged". Overall, "Scary Movie" earns a worthy "B".

4-0 out of 5 stars A true gem!!
Not a five-star film... that's for special movies. But you need to see this!! Yes, the humor is kind of overdone/over the top and/or truly sick at times, but that just adds to it. There are so many films being parodied you lose track, but you almost NEVER stop laughing. This is one worth owning, seriously!

3-0 out of 5 stars sick.....
i thought it was very crude and disgusting, but kinda funny in a way. like, for example, i don't think that a guy shoving his penis through another guy's ear or someone taking a pic of a guys small penis is funny. but i think that a woman trying to get through a whole in a garage door is funny, lol. but i guess it was alright. i give it 3-1/2 stars ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Weak

This is pretty bad movie. The first scene where the spoof "The Exorcist" is admittedly extremely funny, if you enjoyed the original "Scary Movie". However it all goes downhill from there, with a weak, disjointed plot and [bad] jokes. Also the movie was extremely short, I was out of the theatre an hour and a half after the showtime, and that's including 4 or 5 trailers and a couple of ads. However, the movie's shortness is more merciful than anything.

The plot, such as it is, has the same cast from "Scary Movie" staying at a haunted house over a weekend. This is all set up by Tim Curry, playing an evil college professor whose motives are not really explained. Suffice it to say that some spooky things happen and there are parodies of The Exorcist, Poltergeist, Hannibal, The Haunting and Charlie's Angels, among others. The plot is much more disjointed than "Scary Movie", which is, in and of itself, kind of scary.

I'm writing this as someone who really enjoyed "Scary Movie" and who was very disappointed seeing "Scary Movie 2" on opening night. Don't bother seeing this in the theatre. If you enjoyed "Scary Movie", you might like renting it for a few scenes, but the laughs are few and far between. 2 stars is a fair rating, it's very weak, but there are a few good laughs.

3-0 out of 5 stars A bit forced, with Anna Faris looking like Courtney Cox
If you're gonna get this movie, get it dead cheap, cos otherwise you'll be moaning about your loss of money. The first Scary Movie promised no sequel, and at the time of writing, the third one is already at the cinemas, so we'll soon see which is worse.

Nearly all the characters return from the first one, except those ones who were very obviously killed off. Anna Faris is gonna be known as "that chick from the Scary Movie trilogy", which could be something she'll live to regret - she could be known as Erica, the girl who's baby was given to Monica and Chandler in the last series of Friends. Shawn and Marlon Wayans return, as do Brenda Meeks, who's boyfriend Ray, is still as confused about his sexuality - although there was more focus on this in the first one. Thankfully! For some strange reason, they're joined by Tim Curry (no doubt the 'highlight' of his career), in a role which is neither funny, or up to his usual menacing standards. There's lot of cheap laughs at people in wheelchairs (played brilliantly by the 'balding' David Cross)

The whole film is mainly a spoof of House On Haunted Hill, just with no Catherine Zeta Jones or Owen Wilson. (Boo) Other films that have been spoofed, are Charlie's Angels, Mission: Impossible II, The Exorcist (very funny opening scene), Hannibal, Save The Last Dance and many more - how many can you spot? (There's also a character called Megan Voorhees) The Save The Last Dance spoof (where Shorty is teaching Cindy to act 'ghetto') is quite funny, as is the Exorcist spoof. Although sickening, the projectile vomiting incident is quite funny. And he tongue used in the spoof of The Exorcist is the tongue used in the original Exorcist movie. Strange but true. The film falls slightly flat after the opening scene, although the scene with the basketball, and them all acting up to the camera, is quite good.

Something extremely ridiculous that happened was the fact that Marlon Brando was originally supposed to appear as one of the priests in the opening scene (I can't quite see it somehow.) He was paid $1 million to play Father McFeely. He TOOK the money and accepted the role, but got pneumonia a few days before shooting his scenes. Therefore, he was no longer in the film. Let that be a lesson: always pay them afterwards! :)

If you liked the original, you'll probably like this one too on the first watch. Just not re-watchable.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Plot... isn't Very Good
The first and third scary movies were spoofs off of real scary movies. This movie has it's own plot... and isn't really incredibly funny. There are funny characters and funny parts... but overall the movie isn't hilarious. It wasn't absolutely horrible, but certainly could've been much better. I suppose there were'nt enough real scary movies to make spoofs. The movie would've been 0 stars if it wasn't for the actors. Rent this, that way you can get rid of it if you hate it. Buy it if you like it. This movie is kind of gross... which makes it funny in some parts... weird in others... and just stupid in others...

This movie is about a group of college students going to a haunted house to do research. Here they find weird things happening... and a ghost is acting strange. Will they make it out alive?

This movie has it's funny parts, but there aren't as many as one would hope. See this one before the other two and get it out of the way.

2-0 out of 5 stars Other than the
part with James Woods, which is truly ill but hilarious, the rest of this movie falls flat compared to #1. Everything is just too forced and stretched. Rent it, or catch the first 10 minutes on Cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it.
I don't know why so many people don't like this movie. It's so funny. There are jokes from everything from Amittyville Horror to mission imposible. In my opinion the 1st scary movie was ok, the 2nd was the best and the 3rd was the weakest. These are spoofs so i'm not judging on acting(though it's pretty good in the 1st 2) I got many a laughs. So loosen up, It's a comedy and some have no sense of humor so you should find another genre. ... Read more

So loosen up, It's a comedy and some have no sense of humor so you should find another genre. ... Read more

Roasted by critics but surprisingly tenacious at the box office, White Chicks is the kind of comedy that thrives (well, maybe) on home video. Faint praise indeed, but it allows comedy fans an opportunity to cut the Wayans brothers (costars Marlon and Shawn, and director-cowriter Keenen Ivory) some slack and at least try to answer the obvious question, what were they thinking? For the sake of charity, let's ignore charges of reverse racism that plagued this would-be comedy about a pair of FBI agents (Marlon and Shawn) who go undercover as over-privileged white debutantes to thwart a kidnapping scheme, and let's allow that comedy--not social satire--is the Wayans' top priority. If you can get past the fart jokes, the freakishly unconvincing "white chick" makeup, seemingly endless gags about "white chicks" getting hit on by lusty black guys, and a plot that really doesn't matter at all, you just might find a laugh or two in the Wayans' attempt to understand women through a bit of friendly gender reversal. Tootsie it's not, but at least White Chicks offers more entertainment that Nicky and Paris Hilton, who partially inspired the story. Just ask yourself, which freak show do you prefer? --Jeff Shannon ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars History/360
We already had black face movies people. Are you from America or not? White people are the only race allowed to be made fun of in this way because of America's history. There have been countless movies made in this manner where there was an uproar from the minority community with no response from the movie studios. Now the old white men who are the head of these companies have decided that it is OK to make fun of themselves. ITS ABOUT TIME. You don't have to look too far to see the blackface movies being made recently (without the black paint on the faces). One of the most recent racist hits was Bringing Down the House when Steve Martin did his "hip hop" minstrel show. Give me a break with the racist crap OK.

5-0 out of 5 stars White Chicks is an all-time favorite.
This movie is spectacular!!! The Wayans brothers are fantastic and the entire cast keep you laughing through the entire movie. This movie also has a great ending and message for all.

3-0 out of 5 stars black men II white chicks
White Chicks is a rehash of every single 'man dressed up as a woman' movie. This plot has been done to death in countless movies like Tootsie, Mrs. Doubtfire, Big Momma's House, among dozens and dozens of others, but White Chicks doesn't bother to hide its unoriginality; it has fun with it. Add a hint of Miss Congeniality and you have the formula for this standard, but enjoyable comedy.

The problem with this one is that the Wayans Bros. are totally unconvincing in their woman make-up and do not look ANYTHING like the women they are pretending to be. In fact, they look damned scary. This can get a bit distracting. If that is something you could get past, White Chicks turns out to be a forgettable but entertaining time-waster. There are a few scattered laughs and the story certainly stays interesting. Add the beautiful and extremely talented Brittany Daniel, of SWEET VALLEY HIGH fame, to the mix, and you have a fun, if unenlightening motion picture experience. Yes, it's stupid, but it sure is fun to watch.

5-0 out of 5 stars Extremely hilarious
I have watched this movie 4 times in Theatre, and would not mind seeing it the fifth time. This movie is lovably funny and nice. You can laugh till your hilt for the 1 hr 45 min. I do not care about what critics say, but this movie is a must see for people who love sense of humor and fun!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Hmmmm
Yes some people think this movie sucked. Some people think it was great. I personally think that it was good. It wasn't the best movie ever, but it was good. It had all the things a good movie needs...comedy...love...stupid blonde's...etc. This was a great movie, my friend and I both agree. I went into it thinking it would be stupid, but when I came out I was laughing my head off. I don't what there is not to like about it. I mean they fought, there were jokes, dancing, laughing, and lots more. If you ever get the chance, you should go see this movie. I mean you should at least rent it. I loved it and am thinking about buying it on DVD. :-) Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did. ... Read more
