Spellbinding - MUST SEE
This is one of those movies that really makes you think about why there are wars. Are there really any winners?

Acting was fabulous, especially, as usual, Bryan Brown.

Set on a small island off Indonesia, Brown, a lawyer for the Australian War Crimes Tribunal, has the task of prosecuting Japanese officers and soldiers for war crimes committed against Australian prisoners. Unfortunately, all of the records and most of the witnesses have disappeared.

Hated it...
How they made Hugo Weaving and Sam Neill (2 of my favorite actors) so completely unattractive is amazing to me. The actions/motivations of all the characters are perplexing if not totally bizarre, and the dialogue is painfully bad (it must have been a real chore for the actors to say this stuff). I really disliked this movie, obviously. Yuck!

Liked it, but not my style
If you like straight romance, with a hint of character study (albeit very little), then this may be an enjoyable movie. As for me, I liked it okay, but I found it a bit slow at the start. It does pick up the pace... about halfway through, but I suppose if I were a hopeless romantic, I'd enjoy it to the fullest. Don't misunderstand me, for I liked it okay. It was a good movie with a good ending, just not my style! ... Read more

Hated it...

Laugh out loud!
This comedy will knock you down as you see all the seven little pieces of movies wich are all one of the seven deadly sins. Another movie from National lampoon, hilarious, but unfortunatly it is not well known, so very hard to get. If you can actually buy one, grab it and enjoy as it is not produced anymore!
