5-0 out of 5 stars Beverly Hills 90210 is one of my favorite shows!
This video is a must for anyone who loves 90210.It gives bits and pieces of the first two seasons, which brings back happy and sad memories of the characters. The video also talks about the character's feeling about graduating from high school and about leaving each other. If you have graduated or going to graduate from high school, this video will make you feel sad as you recall high school experiences. The saddest scene is at the end when they are looking at the sign that says, West Bev 93 and are staring at it.This is a video that you will love to own about all of the 90210 characters!

5-0 out of 5 stars 90210 is the best show on television!
I am a big huge Beverly Hills, 90210 fan! It's the coolest show on FOX, it even has a great soundtrack too. I watch the show all the time and all the actors are good. It's still a good show even though if it's been on for awhile. For those of you 90210 fans you can catch 2 episodes on FX every weekday at 4:00 and 5:00 (I think).

5-0 out of 5 stars The sadness of 90210 ending
It is such a shame that 90210 had to go off the air. It was my favorite show ever since i've been alive. I will miss Luke Perry alot on T.V. I recorded almost every episode they made so at least the memories will stay with me forever. All I hope is that they make another show just like that. It really feels good to watch a great show and have the characters go through some of the same issues you might be going through. It was a great show and they did a great job. 90210 will be in memory forever...

5-0 out of 5 stars Huge Fan from Brazil
I'm a huge, huge fan of BV 90210 from Brazil and I have never missed an episode of all ten seasons. I really look forward for their release on DVD!!! Beverly Hills 90210 definitely needs to be on DVD ASAP! I still watch the show everyday! Maybe this is the third time!!! But I NEVER get tired of it! I REALLY LOVE THE SHOW! I wish they would come out with all the DVDS soon.

1-0 out of 5 stars 90210 big fan!

4-0 out of 5 stars deaf and dumb, too
This TVM directed by Michael Toshiyuki Uno is notable for how Laura Linney steals the tube, as the daughter of Joanne Woodward as Washington congressman faced with the issue of drug addiction. The use of real life pictures of Woodward with her own daughter, and the fact that she co-produced, tells you that the subject has personal significance for Woodward. Unfortunately for her the teleplay by Nina Shergold, based on a story by Michael McTaggart and Ellen M Violett, presents Woodward as a harridan, evidence of the negative effects of a working mother. At one point Fritz Weaver as her husband says "Trying to reason with you is like standing in front of a bulldozer". If the idea of making the drug addict a torch singer who idolises Billie Holliday is perhaps rather overstated, the teleplay also raises a generational comparison between drug taking and alcoholism. The music score by Patrick Williams is used to lovely effect in one scene, when a baby is first held, but otherwise we get soaked in inspirational uplift. Watch for Patti D'Arbanville, and Allison Janney.

3-0 out of 5 stars Strong Performances, Strong Message
Joanne Woodward gives a strong performance as a determined, sometimes domineering, yet well-meaning congresswoman coping with her daughter's drug addiction on the eve of announcing her run for the U.S. Senate. Woodward (who earned an Emmy nomination for this film, which she also co-produced) and Laura Linney, who portrays her substance addicted daughter, show the strong love/hate dynamics in their character's relationship. Linney, (later co-starring opposite Jim Carrey in "The Truman Show," and earning an Oscar nomination for "You Can Lean on Me") gives a heartfelt, unflinching portrait of a woman struggling to deal with her substance abuse/recovery as she asserts her independence from her mother, and Woodward superbly brings to life yet another strong, intelligent female character in her long line of smart, well-chosen, and expertly acted roles. The sensitive, intelligent script by Nina Shengold pulls no punches in illustrating the debilitating side of drug use, yet is never preachy.

This film handles difficult subject matter that may have seemed cliched or melodramatic in other hands in an honest, straightforward manner; much credit to all involved for first class work. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars An Indepth Depiction of Alzheimers Disease
This movie was sensational to say the least. Road To Galveston is the story of a woman who loses her husband and is driven to make a living for herself. The career that she chooses is one in which she provides care for Alzheimers patients. The touching thing about this movie is that it is extremely informative. It depicts three separate stages of this dreadful disease: the beginning, intermediate, and advanced stages. It also provides a clear understanding of the challenges that family members must endure as they watch their loved-one yeild to this disease. I recommend this movie to anyone who is faced with the unfortunate challenge of providing care to someone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimers. It will prepare you for the journey that, if understood, does not have to be so dreadful. In this movie, Cicely teaches us how to love those less fortunate than us through their circumstances. The sound track is really nice as well. It will make you laugh and cry!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Film
Never before have I seen such heartfelt performances on television. This movie moved me to the point of tears and Cicely Tyson is a great actress in command of her craft. I would recommend this film to anyone who needs to know what good television writing is.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Movie
This is an exceptional movie about a woman who is faced with living on her own after her husband dies. Tyson portrays a very believable southern woman who takes in alzheimer patients to support herself. Worth renting; buying it, hopefully the price will come down! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Jack before Jack and great followup to Mac
If you can follow my title than you want this DVD!!!!! RDA is excellent. The good cop/bad cop cliche works VERY well in this story. RDA plays Jack Rourke, a cop who was arrested years ago under false charges, was cleared but has never been able to shake the fact that he never gets promoted. He can't hold a relationship with anyone. Then he meets a murder witness with a HUGE story behind her also. He spends the vast majority of the film deciding whether he will actually break the law and system that have been unfair to him or keep on the right side. The movie is great and would have to be one of Richard's best works.

3-0 out of 5 stars A must for Richard Dean Anderson fans
A bit predictable but still a must see for RDA fans.

2-0 out of 5 stars Another flick from the bargin bin.
Made-for-TV thriller that is more predictable than thrilling.

Lynn is an office-clerk with a mysterious past and a tall stranger following her. The last thing she needs is to have an armed robber tell her the location of 2 million dollars in loot before he commits suicide. The other crooks involved are convinced that Lynn knows where the money is while the police know she was listening to loud music on her headphones and couldn't here a word.

As luck would have it an embittered cop is designated to be her protector and after a few rolls in the sheets he finds out Lynn's ability to read lips (incredible co-incidence isn't it?). So plots and betrayals spring up on all sides and you never know who you can trust with two million on the loose.

You average TV movie. The most redeeming feature about the DVD is that there are no commercials. But I suppose that there are enough "Family Ties" fans out there to keep this one on the shelves for a while ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER GREAT MOVIE FROM BET
THIS MOVIE IS JUST ONE OF MANY THAT I HAVE PURCHASED AND ENJOYED BY BET. AS ALWAYS,THE MOVIE IS WELL PRODUCED. THE ACTING AND CAST ARE SUPERB AND IT IS WORTH PURCHASING.

5-0 out of 5 stars BET Films Finally Gets Something Right!
I recently bought this DVD and I really enjoyed it. I always loved Vanessa Bell Calloway. She's a great actress who's been underrated for way too long. I was happy to see her in a starring role. It's been a while.

The film starts off with Nikita Harrell, a famous novelist whose life begins to fall flat once she realizes she could be put in prison for not paying taxes. From that point on, the brilliant yet self-absorbed and mean-spirited Nikita steps on everyone who gets in her way in order to fix her own problems. One night when she's struggling with her latest manuscript she comes to a revelation: she wants to travel to Africa to see the motherland and find herself again. Nikita learns that a trip is not the only answer and turns her attitude around.

This film was lovely and hit close to home because I am an author myself. Nikita was a very selfish woman who learned the hard way that a bad life doesn't give you the right to treat people wrong. She learns to lean on the people who love her instead of running away from them. This is a beautiful family drama. I laughed and cried. My only complaint was that the film wasn't longer. I am not a big fan of BET film adaptations because the ones I've seen were not impressive. A Private Affair is the only BET film I would recommend to anyone. It's light-hearted yet dramatic and just plain fun. Vanessa Bell Calloway has chemstry with everyone she encounters and she convinced me of her part completely. Fans of intelligent black films should definitely get this movie. It's a movie no Vanessa Bell Calloway fan should miss.

5-0 out of 5 stars a face to kill for
this is a very good movie. it has love, caring, warmth, it is a movie i have watched at least 10 times. it's about a young woman with a deformed face that thinks, she has a man whom she think loves her,but instead kills her father, she goes to prison for him.she has her revenge for him,and finds her true love once again.i recommend this ever woman, who had loved once and have lost that once true love.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice but over priced!
To tell you the truth, this is a nice light movie. It tells a story of a Tycoon daughter (she has a deformed face) who was manipulated by a horse trainer. This horse trainer becomes her husband and destorys her... I do not want to ruin the story. But it all revolves around REVENGE.

The actress is the one from the comedy "Wings". She did a good job in this film.

It is nice to watch it once, but it is not so special to be bought and kept in a library... especially for $!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars great movie
THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE! IT TELLs A STORY OF STRENGTH AND SURVIVAL! I WOULD RECOMEED THIS MOVIE TO ANY ONE WHO HAS A CARING HEART!

3-0 out of 5 stars So So
I have to admitt that this movie was better then I thought it would be.
