4-0 out of 5 stars Good kids' show.
When it was still showing on Fox, Beetleborgs looked like a copyoff of "Power Rangers," but the three heroes are all kids, they had more neater armor, and good comic relief. This part in "Beetleborgs" history marks off when the Magnavores create an "indestructable" borg, called Shadowborg, made out of a piece of Drew's armor.

That's when Flabber and Art Fortunes come together, and decide to create a temporary Beetleborg to even the odds, making a rival of Drew's that's competiting for Heather's heart, namely Josh, into the White Blaster Borg. More plot twists ensue, but I won't reveal the end.

It's good, and I don't want to disappoint it. Despite being somewhat corny, Beetleborgs are a good kids' show, despite not running anymore, but worth watching on VHS.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beetleborgs Rock!!
I really liked the tv series, a lot of light-hearted humor that
helped me get through the day. And their on vhs, that is awe-

Flabber is flabulous and Les Fortunes cracks me up.

I want to add Beetleborgs video to my clamshell package video
collection. Maybe the tv series might have a comeback?

This film is very entertaining. I usually think films like this and the Power Rangers is stupid, but this is so stubid with SO bad acting that it's actually entertaining. Fun for all ages.

Combine medieval knights with some (relatively) grown-up Power Rangers, throw in dragons and two-headed dogs, and update the story with female and African American warriors, and you've got a politically correct fantasy for today's kids. This 85-minute movie is an outgrowth of the FoxKids half-hour television series. The four titular knights find their quests for custom-made armor laden with special powers constantly interrupted by the evil Queen Maeve, who is determined to wrest the kingdom from the king, father of female knight (and princess!) Deirdre. Filmed on location in Ireland and sportingcomputer-animated effects, this tale should appeal to the youngDungeons-and-Dragons male crowd, as well as young females looking for a more proactive role model than the traditional Arthurian maiden. --Kimberly Heinrichs ... 5-0 out of 5 stars this is a great collection of the knights' episodes!
although a kids' show, Mystic Knights of Tir-Na-Nog is a wonderful show for all ages. it combines ancient lore, celtic mythology, wonderful music and is filmed on location in ireland! the actors, especailly lochlann o'mearain and vincent walsh (rohan and angus), are wonderful at portraying thier characters. every episode is a freat adventure but this is an excellent introduction to the kingdom of Kells and the knights that fight for peace within the land.

5-0 out of 5 stars I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS!
Nobody around here cares for these guys anymore than I and other admirers do. That's why I feel sorry for them. Saban probably didn't want nothing more to do with them after Lost Galaxy, so in August 1999, he took them off the air, right when Nemain, the "new" Queen of Temra, booted Maeve out of the Caste of Temra and took her throne.

Now what? How come there's been no word on when the legacy will continue? How come those bulls**t Digimon are the ONLY things that matter on Fox Kids TV? Look, I know sooner or later, you have to move on to the next best thing, but COME ON! Please take a note from the Pokémon. At least they're still on the air even with all those new episodes they've been putting out and whilst they've gone downhill thanks to the rotten Digimon. I still have all the action figures from last year. God forbid, if there were a Mystic Knight of Thunder, especially if it's a girl (my favorite Mystic Knight is Deirdre even though the whole cast is awesome), I'd LOVE to see that. I even have the video, which I've seen many times and even brings tears to my eyes at times knowing the obsession I've had with them and how I wish they were still on the air, even though it's only a TV show. It's nothing, though, compared to my obsession with Andrea Bocelli. You won't want to know how hard I've cried many nights just thinking about him.

And not even a movie yet? I see the Pokémon, Power Rangers, and Digimon getting big-screen movies, but then, that's because they're way more popular than these guys. The Powerpuff Girls might get one, too. Actually, I like two of the Powerpuff Girls, namely Blosson and Bubbles. It's getting late, so let me get out of here.

5-0 out of 5 stars Aideen
Aideen is a fairy. Fairies are cool. Fairy, fairy, fairy. She could fit in my mouth. When she gets dirty, I can bathe her in my mouth. I would be careful, she would be o.k. And shiny clean!

5-0 out of 5 stars Please release season one on DVD!!
My kids love this video and loved the series when it was on Fox. Unfortunately, we discovered the TV series towards the end of the season right before it was cancelled. My kids would love to watch the whole season one (they have watched this video countless times). Mystic knights is a fun video that doesn't take itself too seriously. The monsters aren't too scary, the heroes always win, and good values are somehow mixed in with the lot. There is of course a wizard, and valuation of powers not from God - a warning for those of you who find that offensive. But there is a good strong female character, and a black character who is very positively portrayed as a king's son who is trying to save his people.

5-0 out of 5 stars This movie rocks! Yeah!
I love this movie, and the television show. The Mystic Knights are sooooo cool. I used to watch it every day after school, until they sadly, *sniff*, took it off the air. My friends and I used to have Mystic Knights parties and dress up as the characters. We then acted out the episode. Our favorite Mystic Knight is Angus. . .and Rohan, and Garrett( even though he isn't in the movie), and Deirdre. We are annoyed with Ivar because he always wears the same outfit, which is always the same color. It would be sooooo cool to have the entire series available for purchase. It should be on DVD. Yeah. Garrett's hair is cool! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Stuck in another dimension.
Two episodes from this re-make of the original series. A few good moments fail to justify them, however. In the first episode a T-Rex eats a mother dinosaur, but one of her ridiculously-big eggs (the biggest dinosaur eggs were the size of a pumpkin) survives and hatches into the only horrific thing in this series - a man in a twee suit resembling that contemptable Son of Godzilla. In the second episode the stranded family find a cavewoman who knows about modern society for no explained reason. She is similar to the cavewomen in countless tacky dinosaur films, tediously enough. There's also a monkey-boy called Stink, unamusingly enough.

Cheap episodes sunk by abominable, unlikeable kids, terrible effects and quite embaressing music. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Amazing
I first saw this movie ten years ago when I was fourteen. At the time I was going through a hugely sentimental phase, and I was soaking up knowlege and ideas like a spongue. During this time I struggled a lot with trying to work out where I fit into the political scheme of things (I was an advanced child!) and this movie really gave me a leg up towards thinking about what war and it's implications meant to me as an individual. It shaped a lot of my ideas and it helped me to grow. I only managed to see it twice while it was on television, because it appears that it was never available in the rental shops near me, and by the time I started seriously searching for a copy to buy and own, it was out of production.

If you have not seen this movie, it is worth the purchase. The acting is superb and I have to say, truly unbelievable. Wil Weaton is a great actor, but I never saw him as truly brilliant until I had watched "December." Stand by Me is a great movie, Toy Soldiers was a great performance for him, but "December" truly takes the cake.

While I will confess (as I read other reviews when submitting my own!) that the storyline leaves something to be desired, I don't think that this movie is about *story*. It is about *feeling* and *ideas*. Not everybody is going to appreciate that or like that, but those of you who are interested in ideas and personal growth through the explorations thereof, then this movie is a must see.

1-0 out of 5 stars So very bad...
but partially filmed at my alma mater, Wells College, so a must for my video collection. The acting in this movie is forced, the storyline fairly stupid. What could be a great movie about boys at the dawn of WWII is mediocre and overly dramatic.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Cast & Outstanding Movie
To most of the public eye this movie could be seen as boring and wasteful, but if you take a closer look this picture it is truthful & emotional. The thing I liked most about it was its over acceptional cast. Wil Wheaton, the star from Stand By Me, was exravogent. Chris Young, also seen in Great Outdoors, gets my vote. Balthazar Getty, from White Squall, put on a wonderful performance. If I were Siskel and Ebert I would most definately not only give the movie two very enthusiastic thumbs up but also the cast. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Very Cool Show!
Even though I have not seen this show since Nickelodeon stopped playing the reruns a few years back, it was a show I really enjoyed and watched every time it was on. It is a lot more well, realistic than the 70s version, even though it still isn't realistic. If you have never seen the show here is a quick summary: Tom Porter is taking his two kids Kevin and Annie on a camping trip. On the way there is an earthquake (?) and the fall through the ground. They end up in a land filled with Dinosaurs and REALLY strange creatures. This world has three moons and some friendly creatures that make friends with the Porters such as Stink and Tasha. There is also a girl there that says later in the series that her family found a way home when she was eight years old, and she was left behind. She had made friends with some of the creatures the Porter's feared most, which was good. We find out that their mother was dead. They have many adventures in the "land of the lost" and to my knowledge they never made it home. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A classic for the children of nickelodeon.
This is one of the TV shows I watched as a kid and it brings back tons of memories. The person that reviewed this before me must not know this was a TV show made for nickelodeon long before jurrassic park came out. This is a children's video in a children's section and how dare you rate it so harshly. Kids will love it, I did, actually i still do and I am going to buy it right now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Q:How can you tell if a big dinosaur film's due out soon?
I haven't ever seen the original Land of the Lost series, but I can only assume it's better than this. Dodgy puppets, contemptable know-all kids, a cliched cavewoman and people in unconvincing costumes all battle to make this series one to forget. It was all obviously no more than a cash-in on the then soon-to-be-released Jurassic Park anyway. These two episodes, as if anyone gives a pedipalp, include a volcano, the green(!) larva of which is stopped by magic, and a rather pathetic 'knight', who looks about twelve and quite obviously isn't a real knight. There are a few good scenes, but overall this is aimed strictly at undemanding kids, and as they'll just laugh at the feeble special effects after seeing Jurassic Park what exactly is the point of this? ...
