4-0 out of 5 stars i have never forgotten this movie
the first thing i ever saw sally struthers in after all in the family...she was great...absoloutely. i have not forgotten how terrifying this movie was to me...and like i said i still think of it as far as being raped in your own home...that's why i bought it.
i watched it with my mom...and just bought it. though surprised i found it anywhere...but glad i did...cause i want my daughter to watch it with me...

5-0 out of 5 stars Sally Struthers at her finest!!!
Should be more than five stars!!!... While this movie did not receive wide acclaim, it struck me when as a 12-year old so many years ago how incredibly dramatic and versitile Sally Struthers was as an actress. Up to that point the only thing that I'd seen her in was "All In The Family" and then there was this movie; totally blew me away. I don't have a copy of it, yet, but I'm in search of one, and once I find it, I'll never let it go. It's one of those classic's that belongs right up there with "Gone With The Wind", "Auntie Mame", "Imitations of Life" and "The Manchurian Candidate"

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst Movie Ever Made
"A Gun in the House" probably plays well in Greenwich Village and Berkley, but in the vast "fly over country" it is probably on a par with "Plan Nine from Outer Space", only with a horrible political bias. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Action and fun
In this second and last movie of the series Captain America(Reb Brown) must fight a ruthless terrorist (Christopher Lee) who has a deadly weapon. It's not a bad movie and it has a lot of action and funy scenes You'll notice there are a lot of bloopers in the movie (Watch Cap's hands when he is at the beach. We see him with gloves and then he does'nt have gloves)Althoug there are bloopers, it's a viewable movie. It would have been interesting to see a regular t.v. series of Captain America or another t.v. movie with Spider-Man,Hulk and Captain America. Who knows, maybe one day ?

5-0 out of 5 stars If you love Captain America see this!
I am a fan of Marvel Since I was a little Kid. I remember when I saw Captain in a 1990 movie, when he fought the Red Skull, but this is not it! , It is the 2nd T.V movie of Captian America, he has his cool bike, wierd shield, and corny custume but I love it, If you want to see this, I would buy, Captain America 1, then this (Captain America 2 Death to soon. I loved this and I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did!

2-0 out of 5 stars It could've been worse
I know that this and #1 stretched the storyline of Cap a little, but it was a TV movie after all. At least these were better than that stinkeroo movie that came out a few years ago. (PEEEUUU!) Also, Reb Brown at least had the build that made him playing Cap believable. Anyway, Marvel can't seem to make a decent adaptation of their heroes from the comics to the big/small screens so I'm afraid that this is one of the better ones.

2-0 out of 5 stars Death too Soon is hokey, but okay
This film may be hokey (like to sound effects for Cap's stength), but it's not so bad. It trys to stay close to the actual comic character, but makes him somewhat bland. I'd recommend it for the avid comic collector, but don't watch it too often, you may go crazy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Old enough to remember this one too.
OK. So you got past the hokey remade origin of Cap in the first one and, granted, he's got a clear shield of plastic and a motorcycle helmet. But hey, the story got a little better. When terrorists threaten to unleash a plague virus, Captain America steps it up to put a stop to it.These movies aren't bad bad, but as a little kid who liked comic books, Cap was the Man. Still is, although, whereas I'd admit I owned a Batman movie, I'd keep this one in the closet. I'd get it and the first one ONLY if you were a DIE HARD comics fan. (Like me.) eeeeesh. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars skinner
I only bought this dvd because ted raimi was in it, don't get me wrong seeing him semi naked was fanastic but the quality of this disc is terrible as after three plays it is jumps and pausing when it feels like it. Very disappointed about the quality, but I am still happy as the overall movie is interesting.

2-0 out of 5 stars An interesting failure
Worth watching once to see the movie it might have been. An amazing performance from Raimi, who slides deftly among the layers of the psychopathic title character without once overplaying his hand in a truly chilling performance. Ricki Lake is also subtle and effective as the unhappy landlady with a slowly growing attraction for her strange boarder. Unfortuately, the high-caliber performances are wasted on a meandering script and unfocused direction -- and a fatally slow pace which destroys any interest we might have in what's going on. As for the gore, it isn't that it's too much, it's that it's not enough. Too little and too late, it's almost half-an-hour before we know anything more about the movie than what we read on the box, and by then we're no longer interested. A shame, and most of the people involved deserved better.

1-0 out of 5 stars One star is one star too many
This movie is really a dog. If any of you Ted Raimi fans out there ever watch this one and then later meet Ted, don't let him know you watched it. He'll make fun of you! Now that's the sign of a really bad movie! No redeeming factors here that I can see at all. Now, if you'll all excuse me, I think I'll go watch some paint dry.

3-0 out of 5 stars A winning combination
If you're into classic "show me the gore" horror flicks, check these two out. They may not be too popular, but many of the greats aren't. You can't beat Amazon's price for two DVD's either! Enjoy.

1-0 out of 5 stars The "North" of the horror genre
This film is vile, badly written, badly acted, with bad sound and a weak male lead. Awful, awful, awful! I thought this film would have some campy qualities since Ted Raimi was the "Buffalo Bill" knock-off of a serial killer. Ricki Lake is predictably terrible ("Hairspray" was her only good film to date). And to top it all off, ex-porn queen Traci Lords isn't even naked! The least the director could have done was give a dollop or two of gratuitous nudity to appease the audience in this horribly written mid-air collision of a film. While the story was unbelievably weak, there was a motif of water which made no sense. I think the director was trying to be pretentious or stretching the film to feature length. Like Oedipus, I felt like blinding myself after I saw this film because it was so monumentally bad. When I say it is a bad film, I don't even mean it in a "so bad it's good" sense either. This film is BAD! I'm sure "Plan 9 From Outer Space" has more redeeming qualities (and had better actors). Too bad Mystery Science Theater 3000 is over, because this cinematic abortion would be a lot funnier with two robots talking back to the screen. This film makes "Army of Darkness" look like "Citizen Kane." If you want to rent a good bad film, rent "Soldier" or "Escape From LA." Keep browsing folks. I wasn't deepy offended that I wasted my money on this, I was offended that I wasted my time on this. As a famous film critic said: "Unclean, unclean, unclean!" ... Read more
