5-0 out of 5 stars The Beginning of everything...
Years ago, when Dr. Mark Green had hair, and Carter looked like a high school graduate, ER debuted. It has been one of the most succesful shows on TV ever! and although many of its original starts are no longer in the shows, it still rocks.

If you are a fan (if you are reading this, you probably are), see how every thing got started. The long shifts, the bad pay, the terrible food and the addiction to coffee, these actors made ER what it is today. I love it. Every now and then I watch the pilot again. It moves me all the time.

See Mark Green in action and Dr. Benton's attitude in a pilot that started it all.

Do yourself a favor and buy it. You will not regret it.

Enjoy the show!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Show Of All Time
"ER" has been my favorite show ever since it came on the air. I love every bit of the suspense and I can't say that I have ever seen an episode that I thought was boring. Every single episode if wonderfully made and I love each character for their originality. My favorite female character was Julianna Marguiles though (Dr. Carol Hathaway). She is such an excellent actress and I admire her for all she has accomplished. Noah Wyle, what a hottie! Well, I am only 13 years old, but I still love everything about this show and always will! The first episode was interesting and inspiring. It just shows you that this may be a TV show, but in real life, these things go on.

4-0 out of 5 stars This Pilot is Also in The Complete First Season DVD Boxset!
ER is a great show and the premier pilot movie is very good and introduces us to the great characters actors and stories that made the TV show so interesting to watch. One of my favorite characters is Carol Hathaway played by the teriffic Julianna Margulies (SP?) and this pilot really showcases her talents but also terrific are George Clooney as Doug Ross, Anthony Edwards as Mark Greene, Eriq Lasalle as Peter Benton, Noah Whylie as John Carter and Sherry Stringfield as Susan. If you have a DVD player I recommend buying the complete first season on DVD because it has this very same pilot and all the rest of the episodes of season 1 so why limit yourself to just the pilot?

4-0 out of 5 stars Get the scoop on the beginnings of one tvs best
ER is a great series. I personally don't watch anymore--stopped a year ago. [It's a time slot issue... sleep vs. tv] However, this is a genius show with a lot to offer and if you missed the beginning of the series, it's a great way to catch up!

5-0 out of 5 stars ER shines in this Brilliant Masterpiece
ER was brilliant. I was just sitting there without taking my eyes off the T.V. If you love the drama and suspense this is your show. It was so real unlike other shows where you know where all the gadgets and computer animation was done, it was like you were right there next to the doctors and looking at the patient. ER shows the truth behind being a doctor in the hospital its turns, ups and downs and consequences. Although we know none of its real, all fiction it is very alive and realistic. Watching it over and over never got boring for me, it was just better. It was very interesting getting to know the crew and its begginning. I give ER the best ratting five out of five. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Scenery
I think this is a great action movie, but my husband says its too mushy for a Dolph flick. Dolph's character (Nick) is a mercenary who is hired by 2 businessmen to put together a small band of men to force some islanders to move off their island. He puts together a group of tough misfits and heads off for the island. Of course once Nick meets the islanders, he has second thoughts about his mission and decides to defend the island from his employers. His employers go out and hire another mercenary. Of course this guy and Nick had been in the military together and they hate each other; action ensues. The fighting unit that Nick puts together is very entertaining and very tough. One member of the small army is a woman who is just as tough as the men, she is great to watch. There is one guy in the film with an Australian accent whose acting is very annoying. There is nothing new in this film, its all very predictable but the action is great, the scenery is great, Dolph's acting is good, and his costars are good (except the Australian guy). I highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars one of Dolphs best and well worth watching!
This film is a very good action movie and for a Dolph film has quite a good storyline. The action scenes are lively and the film wasn't overloaded with action scenes otherwise it would have ruined the overall feel. Dolphs performance is first rate and the rest of the cast are excellent even the annoying Cockney bad guy who although was cheesy he was good to watch. All in all this is a quality action movie that far outshines others in the B-movie genre.

4-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST DOLPH LUNDGREN MOVIE EVER MADE!
A COMMANDO [DOLPH LUNDGREN] ASSEMBLES A CRACK TEAM AND THEY TRAVEL TO A PACIFIC ISLAND TO SECURE IT FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES. GOOD ACTING AND SUPERB ACTION MAKE IT BETTER THAN MANY OTHER DIRECT TO VIDEO ACTION MOVIES AND IT MAKES IT BETTER THAN ANY OTHER DOLPH LUNDGREN MOVIE THAT CAME BEFORE OR AFTER THIS. UNFORTUNATELY FOR DOLPH, JUST ABOUT EVERY MOVIE HE MADE AFTER THIS TURNED OUT TO BE TRULY HORRIBLE. BUT FOR ALL ACTION FANS, THIS IS AN UNEXPECTED TREAT!

5-0 out of 5 stars Need help
This moviw is great.
Dolph is great.

I just wanted to know something. I want to know where this island is located in and what's its name?

If someone knows, let him inform me as well!

Regrds,

4-0 out of 5 stars MEN OF WAR review!
Better than most straight-to-video action films could ever dream of being, "Men Of War" takes an excellent cast including Dolph Lundgren, B.D. Wong, Charlotte Lewis, Catherine Bell, Tom "Tiny" Lister, and Thomas Gibson, just to name a few, and combines with an effective script co-written by John Sayles to make for quite a good little picture.

Lundgren is Nick Gunner, a hired gun paid by two yuppie entrepenaurs to lead a group of mercenaries in a mission to strongarm a group of islanders on a small island off the South Pacific into signing away their island's mineral deposits. Enter Trevor Goodard's loose-cannon liutenant Keefer who is looking to get in on the action and is a former associate of Gunner. The two butt heads early on in the movie where Gunner's unarmed men are forced to watch him taking a whooping at gunpoint by the hands of the furious Keefer.

Fast forward a few minutes to the men landing on the island where they request to meet with the island's elders. The only people of any assistance are the English-speaking Po, a former bus boy in America, and Lokki, an attractive island girl. As the film progresses, the men soon become divided as some become sympathetic towards the lives of the island people while others are still loyal to getting paid. This leads to an action-packed and bullet-riddled conclusion where the defectors from Gunner's side join forces with Keefer and Nick's old mentor and return to the island in a blaze of gunfire.

The film is not your usual stupid violent action film as it actually delivers a powerful message and some colorful performances. This was actually one of Lundgren's last real good films as he continued with such poor video fare as "Hidden Assassin" and "The Minion". Nobody in this little movie is gonna get an Oscar for their acting but appearances by a handful of well-known character actors will make for a nice treat for genre fans. Tom Wright, in particular shows some promise in a role bigger than he is used to playing but handles well, nontheless. In closing, "Men Of War" is a must-see for any true action-adventure fan. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars So good it's hard to believe it was a TV show
I was certainly sorry when Fox cancelled Millennium, but on the other hand, it's damn near miraculous that a show this intelligent, original, challenging and disturbing made it on to TV at all, let alone managed to survive for three seasons. I give this tape only four stars because although the series got off to an excellent start it didn't really hit its stride until the last third of the first season, when elements of the supernatural started creeping (and creep is definitely the operative word here) into it, and Millennium slowly transformed into the absolute best horror/fantasy/sf series ever. Although it was always just as much a drama, too. Forget TV, I can't even think of very many films in the genre that can touch this program for subtlty and smarts. For instance, in the brilliant episode "Powers, Principalities, Thrones and Dominions," it becomes fairly apparent that one character is an angel and another is a man posessed by a demon, but nothing is ever explicitly indicated. Now, in pretty much any other show or film they'd hit you over the head with it. They'd probably have the demon-guy's eyes glow red when no one's looking or just have him outright state something that makes his identity unmistakable. They'd probably have the angel-guy sprout wings at some point. But Millennium was almost unique in the extent to which it always demonstrated unusual faith in the intelligence of its audience. And I'd like to add my voice to the chorus clamoring here for the release of the series on DVD, just in case anyone from Fox happens by.

5-0 out of 5 stars Please FOX, release Millennium on DVD
I agree with what many others have said, Millennium is by far one of the best shows ever made. FOX has made a habit of killing great TV series (Firefly is another example of that). I hope FOX will realize that there is a huge following for this show and release all three seasons in the ultimate DVD box set!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Millennium was the best show
Why they took Millennium off the air I will never know. I looked forward to the show every Friday night. Fox should have let it go on to at least the year 2000 like it was meant to be. Please bring out a boxed set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Millenniun TV Fox Series
I thought the Millenium on Fox was the best SFi/adventure series on TV,I actually started to like it more than the X-Files series. I never knew that it was being taken off the air untill I waited for it to come back on in the Fall season and to my dismay it did not. It would be nice if the Sc-Fi channel would become interested in it and started a new series. Chris Carter have you thought about "reinventing it on a channel like the Sci-Fi channel". My comments will probably go by the wayside...but just maybe some how "Out there" someone will think about the possibilities of bringing it back. Signed, "Misser of the Best Sci-Fi/Adventure on TV", KarlBuzz

5-0 out of 5 stars Millenium TV Series Deserves to be on DVD
I'm adding my voice to the list of others here who have expressed their interest in seeing the Millenium TV series brought to DVD.

I read just over a year ago on www.digitalbits.com (http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articles/120202htfchat.html) that Millenium may be coming to DVD, however, I have yet to find any additional information on this topic.

I loved this series and was very sad to see it come to such a sudden end. If it ever makes it to DVD, I'll be there to buy it. ... Read more
