Robotech Revival
Robotech is a trilogy series composed of the Macross Saga, Robotech Masters Saga and The Next Generation Saga. All three parts span a time of forty-six years. This part of the series is the Macross Saga, in which Rick Hunter a young pilot is thrust into battle for the survival of the Human Race. Rick and his friends Lisa Hayes, Ben Dixin, and Max Sterling attempt to protect their home of the SDF-1 and the city of Macross, which now resides in the great ship. this is the best show i have evere saw i loved waching it i am going to buy a dvd player when the dvds are realeased so i can wach them.

powerful story and characters
This is the work that forever tied me into the world of anime. I used to watch this show after school like a religion. Its almost scary how much this animated series influenced/affected me and who I've become. Little else has ever moved me and held me captivated to the extent Robotech did. I was almost catatonic when it went off the air. Not only is the animation often breathtaking (some episodes better than others...), but the storyline and characters were mesmerizing. I hope that the entire three part series becomes available on DVD someday.

THE BEST
Robotch is the best series on television that I can remember!I used to watch it after school every day! the animation is awsome, it has it all action, adventure, mystery, and even romance! you can get so caught up with the characters lives that I just had to cry on the sad parts... i can't wait too own the video...

Great Collection
this is a great collection, if your an cartoon fanatics this is a must have collection, great story ang drawings.

It is way better than the japanesse version, SDF-1 Macross
I think This collection is wounderful and amazing. everone should have the collection and relive what was ment to be.

SDF Macross, the Japanese version of Robotech is much better
Each tape in this series gives you two episodes of Robotech and the corresponding episodes of Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, the original Japanese source for Robotech. The Macross episodes are subtitled.

I much prefer the Japanes version to Robotech because the creator of Robotech edited out some of the PG-rated content of the original animated series and also because the I prefer the Japanese voice actors and soundtrack to that of Robotech.

Please note that Streamline, the publisher/distributer of this series hasn't completed the series -- it stopped (temporarily?) halfway through. As a result if you want to own the whole series you'll have to purchase second hand versions of the Robotech series produced by Family Home Entertainment because they are now out of print. END ... I ordered this video and received Southern Cross Vol. 1

Just like the title says - Perfect!
The Robotech/Macross series is one of most loved animes of all time. I was already hooked on anime from watching various early TV shows, like Starblazers, Battle of the Planets, Tranzor-Z, Voltron and Thunderbirds 2086. I had to chance to watch one of these tapes that I borrowed from a friend of mine. It gives you a chance to see the "americanized" verison of Macross and the orginial version of that episode. The american version of course is in english and the orginial version is japanese with english subtitles. If haven't started your Macross collection yet or just adding to it, get these tapes! They are just too good to past up.

My favorite series
I remember, I would always go down to blockbuster or wherever we went and rent this! It's been prob'ly 10 years now, but I would really love to see them again. I loved them as a kid, and I'd love them again just as much!

I ordered this video and recived Mospeada Vol. 1, but it's nice that some of the videos are still being proudced, anyway.

Robotech is back!!
I believe this is one of the best animes that has ever been produced. If you like Mechas, alien invasions, and love triangles, this is the collection for you. It all starts as the SDF-1 ( Macross in the japanese series) is rebuilt after having crashed on earth in the year 1999. After ten years, it finally comes on line. But would you imagine!. That's the very first day an alien species ( the Zentraedi) come to earth in an attempt to capture the ship. The SDF-1 makes a hyperspace jump, and ends (by mistake) in an orbit around Pluto, taking the whole island with them. The saga continues as the ship and the inhabitants of the island make their way back to earth. In the end, the final battle between the Zentraedi and the humans, as well as the decision that Rick Hunter (the hero) has to face when choosing between Lynn Minmay, and Lisa Hays ( the two lovely heroines) is worth seeing. Although I liked the japanese version better, I have to admit that Robotech (the series that I originally saw on T.V. when I was a child) is not bad. This tape contains two episodes of The Macross Saga ( the japanese version) and Robotech (the English adaptation). It would be worth clarifying that this series (The macross saga) in particular was the basis for many future heroes and heroines in japanese animes and mangas. ... Read more
