Interesting as a cultural history of the 1930's
A Great Depression morality tale, wherein the outlaws are really good boys who love their mother, and the capitalists and banker are really black-hearted crooks who prey on the innocent. I'd give it one star for its sheer tedium but a very youthful Roy and Trigger look terrific and who doesn't like Gabby Hayes? As usual in these old oaters, the horseriding is spectacular. Roy has one love song, while playing the pump organ. The movie inspired me to look up the history of the James gang to find out what they were actually like. ... Read more

White Warrior
Again, I love Cheyenne westerns and I think Michael Landon did a great job too! Wish there were more of the Cheyenne series on VHS.

The tallest and hadsomest cowboy the GREAT Clint Walker
Cheyenne series starring Clint Walker was probably the greatest cowboy star who through his personality dominated the screen .He was even a bigger star than Clint Eastwood.Just wathing him sitting on a horse is satisfying .This is one of his best westerns and I thoroughly enjoyed it .The print is excellent.Worth preserving as a classic.I dont know why warner Bros cant release a Gift Box containing 6 episodes of this great series.

Cheyenne - White Warrior
A fine entry in the long-running Cheyenne series, from Warner Bros. This episode features Clint Walker as a wagon train boss who rescues a young white man, played by Michael Landon, soon to star in Bonanza, who has been captured and brought up by the Indians. Revisiting the Past
I've just seen the serial film Darkest Africa and I loved it. If you think that it was made in 1936 , with all dificulties then existing, the flying bat man, The Goddes of Jobba and the performance of the main star Clyde Beatt you must consider that the result is excellent. I expected to see something extremely naive ...on the contrary, revisiting my past (because the first time I watched the film I was 10 years old) I was pleasantly surprised with a very well realesed serial motion picture. One of the best Roy Rogers Movies
One of the best of Roy's movies with a great musical ending, but it is the 54 minute cut version. Very good story and direction.

Visual quality of this video is fair to average. The sound track is good. This is a 54 minute cut version of this title. The original theatrical release had a running time of approximately 75 minutes. Uncut versions of this film can be found in private film collections, but none are known to be available on home video. This 1944 release is one of the first 3 films Roy starred in with Dale Evans. It is too bad that this title is not available on video in its original full length form, as this is one of the better Roy Rogers films. ... Read more

Fun
After watching the not so good Song of Arizona I was confused about Roy Rogers following. This movie has made it clear to me. This was Dale Evans first time with Roy in a film. But she's more of a supporting character. The main female star in this movie is Mary Lee which was all right with me. Mary was a spunky teenager with a beautiful voice. She looks so pretty here and steals the show. The plot Roy Rogers and his friend help Mary find some gold that her dead uncle hid. For a while Dale is even a villian!
