Ever spend eight hours in a "Productivity Bin"? Ever had worries about layoffs? Ever had the urge to demolish a temperamental printer or fax machine? Ever had to endure a smarmy, condescending boss? Way underrated
Anyone who has ever worked in corporate America will relate to this hilarious gem.
It is low key as opposed to slapstick comedy. I think the movie was well cast about a cube dweller who had enough and basically quits working and gets a promotion to upper management while his hard working and dedicated buddies get slated for layoffs by "The Bob's" two management consultants.
Ron Livingston does a great job as Pete Gibbons, and Ajay Naidu as "Samir Nu, ne, nunu, uh nnn ,not work here anymore" David Herman as Micheal-why should I change - Bolton.
The boss Lundbergh is played perfectly deadpan by Gary Cole, and I think there is a Tom Smykowski and Milton Waddams in every organization. Lets not forget the "Bob's" I knew two idiot consultants just like them.
Office Space has it all, from stupid meetings, CI programs, and of course the infamous TPS reports - "didn't you get the memo about the new cover sheets?"
I could not stop laughing through the whole thing.

Well worth the price of the DVD, even though the transfer was only fair.

Hiliariously Close to the Truth
Though the situations and characters in Office Space are certainly larger than life, they are not that far from the truth--to which those of us in the corporate world will readily attest. That's what makes the movie so delightfully funny: seeing characters on screen act out (without much exaggeration) the trials and tribulations of today's desk-bound workforce.

The plot of the movie itself is somewhat secondary to its entertainment value. Basically, the main character (Ron Livingston) isn't happy with his job; having been asked once by his high school guidance counselor to picture what he'd do without being paid and consider that his ideal job, he responded that he's like to sit around and do nothing. The rest of the main plot centers on his attempt to get his life back on track, from discovering a love interest in a local waitress (Jennifer Anniston) also unhappy with her job to plotting revenge on his company for firing his friends.

Quickly one sees exactly why the characters are so unhappy with their jobs: a clueless, paper-shuffling boss who speaks in total monotone; inane office regulations requiring more time spent on reports than on real work; faulty office equipment; and so on. Carefully crafted to represent archetypes we all know from our own office experiences, the characters and their attempts to break free of the 9-to-5 drudgery are absolutely hilarious.

You don't have to be a computer programmer or engineer to enjoy this film--all you need is to have worked somewhere once in your life that was far from the ideal environment. Watch this film and enjoy a laugh at schmucks who have it ten times worse than you ever have!

THE comedy movie to see from the late 90s
If you see one comedy from the late 90s, see this one! The cast is great, and the story is better. The only person I know who didn't like this movie just doesn't understand the modern industrial/metroplitan environment. Driving to work in Silicon Valley REALLY IS THIS BAD, and if your definition of heavy traffic is going 15-20 mph on the freeway, you might not appreciate this film.

Dilbert's got it easy!
OFFICE SPACE either suffered from bad marketing or poor distribution because I had never heard of it nor did many of my movie-going friends. When I saw it on cable, I kept asking myself, "Where did this come from?" While the film occasionally breaks down in predictable sequences and cheap shots, it really does hold together remarkably well. This is one of the better written, directed and acted comedies in a long time. Even though the late 90's office world it illustrates is long gone, muddle-headed supervisors, know-nothing consultants, and very weird office workers are not. Enjoy this movie!

A MODERN CULT CLASSIC
Having seen and enjoyed bits and pieces of this movie countless times on cable (usually on Comedy Central) over the last couple of years, I finally broke down and purchased it to add to my DVD collection. Smart move on my part. Now that I've seen the entire movie from start to finish, it makes a lot more sense now (I'd never seen the hypnotism scene). It has all the makings of a modern cult classic. How do I know? Because every time I roll across it on cable I usually wind up watching the balance of the film and enjoying it all over again. Having 2 Geto Boys songs on the soundtrack and co-starring Jennifer Aniston doesn't hurt either. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta. ... Read more

This tape is a collector's item.
This tape is more of a "must have" for Jerry Seinfeld fans or diehard SNL fans. For others, you may want to think twice before spending good money on this one. That is only because of the length, a mere 32 minutes (and that includes the video company's opening credits). The comedic skits and comedy bits are very good. I believe this originally aired in 1992, a couple of years BEFORE the TV show "Seinfeld" hit its prime. Jerry's fans will like this tape a lot. Especially the "Superman" sketch and the "game show" sketch (where the contestants answer questions, using Jerry's trademark delivery style). Again, if you're a fan of anything "Seinfeld," grab it while you can. It already seems like a collector's item to me. If you're an SNL fan, be aware that the only skits on this tape (except for the opening bit, before the monologue) are the ones in which Jerry appear. The episode's other skits are not included. For fans of both Seinfeld and SNL, definitely purchase it.

Highly enjoyable. Jerry at his Jerry-best.
This is a very enjoyable video if you are a Jerry Seinfeld fan. It starts with a sketch (4.10 minutes) with Phil Hartman playing Clinton and Dana Carvey playing Brown. They are talking about a political debate they are about to have.

Then comes Jerry Seinfeld's monologue (6.1 minutes), which consists of some material any fan will be familiar with because it is also covered in his book SEINLANGUAGE and in his stand up act I'M TELLING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME (available on VHS and DVD). My favorite part of this bit is when he talks about the water at the edge of the runway at La Guardia Airport. I know exactly what he is talking about; it is kind of freaky to be in a plane going down a runway that ends at a body of water. Jerry suggests that they put piranha in the water to make the experience even more pleasant.

"Stand Up and Win" (8.26 minutes) is the first sketch we see Jerry in. In this sketch, Jerry is the talk show host of a game that tests contestants' knowledge of commedian catch phrases. Jerry gives a question, and the guys have to answer with a "Jerry" response. Also in this sketch are: Dana Carvey, Rob Schneider, and Adam Sandler.

"Make You Think" (6.28 minutes) has Jerry as an exasperated high school teacher. His students are incredibly dense as he tries to teach them about World War II. I really enjoyed this sketch because one of my favorite SNL alumni is in it, Ellen Cleghorn. And Jerry makes a very good teacher, if only his students weren't so dumb (one student being Chris Rock, and another being an even-skinnier-than-usual David Spade).

Probably the best part of the video is "Superman" (4.32 minutes). In this sketch Jerry plays the man he will always be famous for wanting to be: The Man of Steel. Jerry as Superman is being interviewed on the radio by a radio personality played by Phil Hartman.

"Goodnight" (1.31 minutes) is just the standard "Thank you for watching, Goodnight" thing that all SNL hosts do after the show with the cast standing behind them. Apparenlty Annie Lennox was the musical guest that night, because she is in the crowd.

I'm not exactly sure what the original air date was, but it was obviously in the very early 90s - probably 1992 or 1993. And my only complaint is that I believe that they failed to include all sketches that made it into the original airing. .

Other than that, what Jerry fan could ask for more? The Patron Saint of Mr. Average playing Superman. This is why we love him.

A real classic - collector's item
If you can still get your hands on this one, do it. This features Jerry at his younger comedian days along with the talented crews at Saturday Night Live. See how his nothingness evolved into His Royal Nothingness.

great stuff but a crappily made
Belushi and Aykroyd are amazing no complaints about the skits except maybe some more.

The videotape itself is really crappy though. It plays in EP. In my opinion all factory made, store bought videos should be in SP. I have the video about 5 years and I have trouble playing it now. It plays like a video you've had for ten years that was taped in EP off of TV

This thematic video, featuring the best game-show parodies presented by Saturday Night Live, concentrates mostly on the later years, with regulars Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Julia Sweeny, and Chris Farley dominating the proceedings. And though some of the skits have their moments, such as when guest host Joe Pesci menaces seriously out-of-place contestant Chris Rock on "Bensonhurst Dating Game," an inevitable feeling of sameness can creep in. Where's the Jeopardy?!!!!!
All right, I have always loved SNL, and especially the Celebrity Jeopardy's. There was only a single CJ episode at the end of the tape! I feel that with the exception of the guess the word game, the tape should be wiped clean of the waste on it now and filled with stuff that...gasp!...people actually want to see! My ideal: I must agree with another [person] when I say a tape full of Celebrity Jeopardy. Do not waste your money on this, simply tape skits off the air if it means that much to you.

Well it wasn't bad
Overall it was just an average video. The title is somewhat deceiving since not all the skits were game shows. What was disappointing was in some sections they didn't show all of the game shows they were parodying.

Varies wildly from hysterically funny to downright awful.
As you might expect, this "Saturday Night Live" tape is a lot like the show. Some of the skits are fantastic while others fall flat on their face.

The tape both starts and ends on a high note. The first skit is one that skewers our characterizations of French prostitutes. Garth Brooks (whom I didn't recognize at first) is in drag and is very funny. The final skit is the classic "Celebrity Jeopardy" episode where the contestants are supposed to be Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler (played FLAWLESSLY by Jimmy Fallon) and Sean Connery. Will Ferrell, playing Alex Trebek of course, delivers some of his best dry humor ever.

Regarding the rest of the tape, it's interesting to note that the best clips are those that shouldn't even be included...skits that have nothing to do with game shows. The best of the bunch is a mock promo advertising a new show coming to NBC called "Princess & The Homeboy". Tim Meadows is completely outrageous as G-Dog. It's some of the edgiest stuff that the writers of SNL ever came up with.

It's true that most of these SNL tapes don't seem to be chock full of the best that the show has had to offer. However, at least this one is able to provide a fair share of laughs and is worth a rental or a purchase at a cheap price.

Great Collectoin of SNL sketches
I definately recommend you buying this collectoin of SNL Game Show Parodies. It features some of the greatest SNL sketches ever. One is Dysfunctional Family Feud, which features Chris Farley at his greatest. Also, you'll enjoy Jackie Roger Jr.'s $100,000 Jackpot Wad, which features Billy Crystal as Sammy Davis, Jr. Pay attention to Rajeevs face when Saammy gives the clue for asparagus. And David Spade gives a great performance in Geek, Dweeb, or Spazz. The only thing that I think hould've been included is the rest of the Stand Up and Win sketch. Overall, this really is a great video.

it ROCKS, it ROCKS
The funniest thing about this feature-length release from MTV's mid-1990s animated poster children is how well-done it was. The story is simple, and silly in spots, but well told. It's a typical Beavis & Butt-Head tale writ large, with developed characters and enough sight gags and plot twists to keep the whole family interested.

"Beavis and Butt-Head Do America' could almost be called wholesome family entertainment in this post- "South Park" world. Indeed, the...fire references that were considered over the top in 1996 when this movie first came out seem almost quaint compared to movies like "South Park: Bigger, Louder & Uncut" which pushed the envelope much further.

The only problem I see are the scarcity of bonus materials on the DVD edition. All you're getting is the movie and little extra. Buy it anyway, the movie's good enough by itself.

Is this a God dam? Hehhehheh
I love this movie! My favorite thing about B&B is that no matter how dumb they get,the writing is always very intelligent...a point that is overlooked far too often.Of course fun is the main factor when watching B&B,and no,it shouldn't be taken seriously,but I hate when these snobbish yuppie types get on their high-horses and dismiss it as unintelligent,because it is everything but that! Major gripes aside,let's get down to business.I'm not gonna reveal any details about the movie,for those of you who havn't seen it yet.All I'm gonna say is that it's absolutely HILARIOUS,and very well-written...crude and low-brow of course,but that's the whole point! A Great Movie!!!
A long time ago, my dad and mom bought this movie and they said a lot of people were buying this. So I watched it. And I didn't remember a lot of it. When I was older I was understanding it. so I watched this over and over because it was very good.

Two stupid teens, Beavis [Mike Judge] and Butt-head [Mike Judge] had discovered their tv is stolen. then Butt-head go search for their TV. Then they go stealing the school's TV and then they get caught from the Principal [Mike Judge]. Then the 2 teens visit a guy [B. Willis] and do his wife [???].
Mike Judge directs this movie and does most of the voices. He does Beavis, Butt-head, Tom Anderson, Principal McVicker, others.

This movie is very funny. I would reccomend it to many people.
I would give it a 5 if it would have more humor in it.

Beavis & Butt-Head RULE!!!
Alot of people today seem to have forgotten Beavis & Butt-Head. People today usually restrict themselves to The Simpsons or South Park. Although those shows are EXTREMELY hilarious, we must never forget the crazy antics of Beavis & Butt-Head. Because without Beavis & Butt-Head, shows like South Park would probably never exist. Matt Stone & Trey Parker (creators of South Park) themselves said that they like Beavis & Butt-Head. And there would CERTAINLY be no King of the Hill without Beavis & Butt-Head. If you have seen little to no Beavis & Butt-Head in your life, then you are truly deprived of really funny comedy. Mike Judge (creator of Beavis & Butt-Head and King of the Hill) is a very funny person with very good ideas, and this movie proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

For those of you who don't know, Beavis & Butt-Head are two very stupid yet very funny teenagers who are completely perverted and who are obsessed with heavy metal bands such as AC/DC and Metallica. Their crazy antics affect their life at home, at school, at stores, and basically everywhere. If you don't think they are funny from just this description, buy this movie and your attitude will change COMPLETELY!

Beavis & Butt-Head Do America is basically Beavis & Butt-Head on a roadtrip across America. After their T.V. is stolen, they are somehow thrown into an international conspiracy dealing with two criminal masterminds and a virus that is inside a computer-chip-like object. While they are being thrown into all this, they are prooclaimed the most dangerous men in America. And while the FBI is after them, they are blissfully unaware of what is going on. I don't want to give away what actually happens in the movie, but I will say that their journey takes them from their home town of Highland to Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, a church, the Old Faithful geiser, the middle of a desert, and Washington D.C..

All in all, this movie is one of my favorite comedy movies of all time. This movie deserves a place right next to South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut in your personal VHS/DVD library. If you like comedy like South Park and The Simpsons, then you will definately like Beavis & Butt-Head and ultimately...Beavis & Butt-Head Do America.

I think like most people who have purchased this DVD are ike me, and love the movie, it truely is a classic comedy. But the DVD could have done with more bonus features.

I was hoping that maybe Mike Judge would do an Audio commentary? I could imagine quite clearly the opening credits rolling, and Mike saying that persons name, and then Beavis and Butthead saying somthign like "shes a s**t" and "I scored with her" and all the other classic things that Beavis and Butthead would say.

Plus there is apperently delted scenes that are not on this DVD. This movie is great. But the DVD should have more features then just a couple of trailers. ... Read more

Best of Toonces & Friends
Toonces & friends was so funny! It's a must own!!! Needs to be re-released and in DVD format. I would certainly buy it for myself and for friends. It would make a great stocking stuffer.

Absolutely classic...
Remember when Saturday Night Live was funny? Well, if you don't remember Toonces, then you missed out on some pretty hilarious skits. This particular video is entitled "Toonces and Friends," which kind of urks me because I wanted more of Toonces and less of his friends. However, most of the skits are funny, such as Coach Dobbs, Scruffy the Rat and Abe Lincoln and His Time Machine. The only one I didn't find funny at all was that bizarre Fugitive Couple skit. It was dumb.

As Steve Martin says, Toonces can drive... just not very well. In every Toonces skit, he winds up driving himself and his passengers over a cliff. Aside from these moments, a comedic gem is when we see Toonces stuck on the hubcap of a moving car.

This is a pretty hard to find tape, so if you can find it, get it. Just know it's of low quality as it was recorded in EP mode (see how much better DVD is?)

Wanted more Toonces!

Robin how he was meant to be
Robin is at his best when the script is either loose or nonexistent. Here you will see some of Robin's best works. A masterpiece in its own right. Get this movie for fantastic ad-libbed brilliance. Also, with guest singer Paul Simon and brief appearance by Art Garfunkel... how can you go wrong?

Two of my favourite things... Robin Williams and SNL!
There is only one thing better than Saturday Night Live and thats Robin Wiliams live! He is really out there and can make me laugh like no one else! He does some great skits on this video including acting out Shakespear and my favourite in the future with Dana Carvey as his son! SNL rebirth!!
The year was 1989 and already SNL had gone through a tremendous cast change since Lorne Michaels took back his gem in 1985. Fresh, young comics Dana Carvey, Phil Hartm & then newcomer Mike Myers (who would later be known as "Austin Powers") burst on the scene with ther array of hilarious, off-the-cuff characters. All is captured in this video! I bought it when it first came out back in 92 and lost it. Now that I have it back, I love reliving Wayne's World, Dana Carvey's dead-on President Bush and Phil Hartman's Anal Retentive Chef & Donald Trump impression. Quite a masterpiece of comic genius. Work Sucks but this Video Doesn't
I copied that from the 2nd coming DVD. This Video consists of episodes that include Beavis and Butthead's Burger Flipping days at Burger World. This features several episodes from Seasons 2-3. My favorite was "Burger World" because it was humorous and the oldest episode. I think I should serve french flies to my annoying neighbor. Another successful episode was "Closing Time" which features Beavis and Butthead working on A late shift at Burger world. Believe it or not, I even tried the sealing fan stunt. The outcome sucked, though. I think Beavis and Butthead- The 2nd coming actually had the best of Beavis and Butthead. I LOVE IT!

Burger World(A-)Funny BW adventure from the b's glory days. Here, the b's deep fry dead animals and serve them to customers. Hilite when Butthead reacts to the word "homeowner".

Customers Suck(B)Weaker than the last, but it's a good ep. Here, the b's totally disatisfy their customers at BW. Hilite when Butthead tells a customer shake flavors instead of ingredients.

Butthead Experience(B+)Improvement over last ep. Here, Butthead daydreams of fame during work. Hilite when the b's see a butt related commercial on TV.

Be All You Can Be(A)Best classic ep on the tape. Here, the b's visit the army recruiter and cause mayhem. Hilite when the b's play catch with live grenades.

Cleaning House(B+)Great ep, but doesn't compare to the 1st and 4th ones. Here, the b's are hired to clean their teacher's house, but ruin his 8-tracks instead. Hilite when the b's mix thier teacher's orders up and clean his tapes instead of house.

Sperm Bank(A)Possibly the tape's best ep. Here, the b's work and have fun at a sperm bank. Hilite when the b's blush when they try to tell the nurse they want to sell sperm.

Blackout(A)-Not as good as the last, but it's still an excellent ep. Here, the B's search for TV during a blackout and end up dircting traffic. Hilite when the b's cause multiple traffic accidents.

Closing Time(A)-Better than the last, but doesn't compare to the one before the last. Here, the b's work late shift and have fun with the ceiling fan. Hilite when the b's play with the food when a health inspector tells them they can't serve it to customers.

All n all, I give this tape an A

A good buy
I am a big Beavis and Butthead fan and I have collected all of their videos avaliable in the US and even a few available in the UK. Work Sucks is the boys first video and it is a good mixture of old and new Beavis and Butthead.
-Burgur World(B-), the boys serve Mr. Anderson a dead rat in their first ever episode at Burgur world. The animation and voices are very rough and you can tell that Burgur World is drawn from color pencils, but it has its moments.

-Customers Suck(B-), the boys try to deal with annoying customers and of course screw up people's orders. On the same level as the last episode. Has some funny mements but is just average.

-The Butt-head experience(B), Butthead imagines what it would be like if they were rock stars. This is pretty funny, Beavis and Butthead's hit songs or little more then them just making noises.

-Be all you can be(C+), an army sargent tries to convince the boys to join the military and instead they just blow up a grenade. This is the weakest episode. The last shot with them playing with a grenade saves the episode.

-Cleaning House(B+), Mr. Vandressen decides to pay the boys to clean his house, they end up destroying it instead. The animation is starting to get stronger and the humor is better as well. A good episode.

-Sperm Bank(A-), In order to get some cash quick, Beavis and Butthead decide to donate sperm. A very funny episode with lots of great moments and funny one liners. "He's fallen and he can't get it up."

-Blackout(A-), a blackout hits town and that means Beavis and Butthead's tv isn't working. So they decide to venture outside and find one that does. By this episode the voices and animation have been perfected. Like sperm bank this one has lots a of great moments and memerable scenes.

-Closing Time(A), the tape ends with a bang when Beavis and Butthead take the night shift at Burger world. From Burger tag, to fried worms, to ceiling fans, this one has it all and could possibly be the best Burgur World episode ever.

So in conclusion this is an overall good tape with a couple of good standouts, for those just starting to buy Beavis and Butthead tapes, Iwould advise something else like Feel our Pain or Trouble Youth, but for those B and B fans who want to complete their colleoction, this one should not dissapoint.

Real funny!
As always, anyone who watched MTV in the 90s knows that Beavis and Butthead were a phenomena that has turned into a cult status today. The VHS version here helps commemorate that.

This video has a few of the episodes from the MTV show, and as always they're fun to watch. The only bad thing about this is there's only a couple. By the time you really get into the video and want to see more, it ends. It's pretty much MTV taking advantage of the whole marketing thing by only having a few episodes per tape, but because of the price it's not a bad deal. You do have to get the others to really have a sit-down Beavis and Butthead festival and they're pretty good in combo. They aren't released on DVD and none of the controversial "Fire!" ones are there -- mostly because they were sued over that whole incident.

Go ahead and get them -- they're fun. For more of the episodes, you have to find them through downloadable engines (in poorer copies, I add) and if you're looking for Liquid Television as well, they are available on VHS and DVD -- check it out. All in all, good, but not quite enough for one tape. Price, however, can't be beat.

I would like to say that this is an educational movie. It teaches you basic concepts that, if you don't learn now, will just have to learn later - such as procrastination and rationalization. I mean, ask anybody on the street how much they procrastinate. "When's the last time you did your laundry?" "2 weeks ago." "When's the last time you cleaned your house?" "2 months ago." "When's the last time to called your mother?" "2 years ago." You see, it's all about procrastination. The rationalization was just proven - I rationalize that the sooner you learn procrastination, the better. However, if you ask just anybody if they procrastinate and say "no," then they're lying. They're just plain lying. They're big, fat, dirty liars. I believe that Beavis and Butthead, while acting as complete and total idiots touch on some very deep and interesting philosophical viewpoints. Many times I find myself, after watching a heartwarming video of the widely disapproved yet often logical antics of Beavis and Butthead, I recollect the very wise and all-important statement: Beavis and Butthead are not role models. They're not even human. They're cartoons. Some of the things they do may get you hurt, arrested, expelled, possibly deported. To put it in other words, don't try this at home.

Not a true Best of Eddie Murphy video
The first thing one needs to know about this tape is that it is not a Best of Eddie Murphy collection by any means. This video contains the bulk of two SNL episodes hosted by Eddie Murphy: one when he, still a cast member, filled in for an ailing Nick Nolte, and one marking his return as host to the show he had recently left (oddly, they are shown in reverse chronological order). SNL just wasn't a very good show in those years; Eddie Murphy had basically been carrying the show on his own shoulders. Since all of the skits on this tape don't actually include Eddie Murphy, you get some pretty bad segments to go along with the good ones. Murphy even warned the audience in his first monologue that some things on the show would not be very funny, and he wasn't lying.

There are a few memorable skits on this tape, however. Buckwheat lives again to have an odd reunion with Alfalfa, Eddie delivers one of his vintage Stevie Wonder impressions, Mr. Robinson returns to the neighborhood, and Murphy goes undercover as a white man in his memorable documentary White Like Me. Throwaway skits such as Milestones (with Eddie as Desmond Tutu) and Hairem Skarem (with Eddie as an effeminate hair care professional) manage to dreg a few laughs out of the indifferent material. Gumby gets his own Christmas special, but the bad moments outweigh the good in this particular skit. The real highlight here, in my opinion, is Black History Moment. Eddie fudges his lines a couple of times and compensates with some very funny ad libs.

With the good comes the bad. Harry Anderson's eight minutes of comical magic seems to bring the video to a crashing halt. Lifestyles of the Relatives of the Rich and Famous, with Martin Short playing Jerry Lewis' niece, is bad; The Stairs, with Martin Short as a soldier who has no clue as to how to climb stairs, is even worse; Julia Louis-Dreyfus' A Christmas Message is simply atrocious. Eddie Murphy fans will certainly find some good material on this tape, but it comes with some pretty unfunny baggage. Don't let the title fool you: this is a far cry from a Best of Eddie Murphy video.

Best compilation of Eddie Murphy material
This video is probably the funniest compilation of SNL skits with Eddie Murphy. A college friend of mine had a copy and we spent many a night watching it over and over. Then we'd hit the bars and perform skits in our drunken stupor. I have been looking to purchase this video for the past couple of years, and would like to find it!!!

If yuo want an insane laugh, go for this tape anyday. It is blatantly offensive and very 80's, but that is what makes it so much fun- and neat, that he was great then and is great now as well! ... Read more

"Oh no! Oh why, why!" Before getting killed in every episode was made en vogue by South Park's Kenny, there was poor, hapless Mr. Bill. The ever-buoyant clay Everyman brought the house down by being smashed, mangled, and flattened again and again and again. Mr. Bill's 20th Anniversary is a testament to just how experimental the 1970s' Saturday Night Live was willing to go. And far it went, from the ill-fated fishing expedition (watch out for that hook, Mr. Spot!)to his nightmarish trip to court (remember the jury full of Sluggos?)--"Mr. Bill" always managed to find inventive ways to be disturbing.

Those of meek temperament may find Mr. Bill's 20th Anniversary a bit excessive: it is literally the same "uh oh, he's not going to be nice to me!" gag over and over. The final season for the Not Ready for Primetime Players
If you love the Not Ready for Primetime Players then you'll love the best of 1980. Although it's the first season without Dan Aykroid...it's also the last season with Lorne before his hiatus. Bill Murry sings his heart out as Nick the Lounge Singer. Gilda, Jane Curtain, and Lorain Newman also display their comedic genius with Teri Garr in the Mr. Potaoehead sketch. Kirk Douglas and Buck Henry are excelent hosts as well, and hilarious performences by Tom Davis and AL Franken make this tape a classic. ... Read more
