5-0 out of 5 stars Derek de Lint...Need I say more??...
But I WILL! Poltergeist; The Legacy is a show all on its own, no it has nothing to do with the Poltergeist movies starring Heather O'Rouke and Jo Beth Williams. PTL as reffered to by the fans stars Dutch actor Derek de Lint as Derek Rayne, Martin Cummins as Nick Boyle, Robbi Chong as Alex Moreau, Patrick Fitzgerald as Phillip Callahan, Helen Shaver as Rachel Corrigan, and Alexandra Purvis as Kat Corrigan. It also had recurring stars Daniel J. Travant(Hill Street Blues)as William Sloan and Kristin Lehman as Kristin Adams. And Jordan Bayne as Julia Walker whose unfortunate demise in the first episode leads to the incorporation of Rachel Corrigan.

As stated the show is excellent, the cast (meaning the original) are great together. The pilot is a little creepy but well worth the watch, and if you can catch the rest of the show currently in reruns on Scifi it gets even better! With the exception of two blondes and a redhead that should have never come about...Watch it, love it and join the rest of us ptl fans!

3-0 out of 5 stars first REaL horror film
i really wanted to see a horror film that actually looked good besides attack of the killer tomatoes (yuck). So i rented this with my two old friends (icky mon and erin) and it was boring. first, erin wouldnt shut up and monica kept thinking she knew so much about it. i really didnt get the story cuz it was kinda boring. Well it had this box........

5-0 out of 5 stars A must see!!
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. After renting it I actually ordered it through my locate Blockbuster, it cost me $75.00 at the time but it was totally worth it. The T.V. series that followed was the best four years of television. I taped the entire series and to this day its the only thing I watch with any regularity. I would recommend anything with Derek de Lint in it as he is a fantasic actor with a very wide range.

5-0 out of 5 stars Poltergeist is the best show ever!
Poltergeist the legacy has nothing to do with those dumb poltergeistmovies. It's a terific show all on it's own. There are about 100+websites created by the fans alone. There are close to a million fanfics posted online. The cast has great chemistry and the special effects are TERRIFIC! There's curently a petition at Helen's site to bring the show back. :) "Since the begining of time, mankind has existed between the world of light and the world of darkness"

3-0 out of 5 stars A Movie for Demon Lovers
The cast was good. The plot was good. The character interaction was good. They didn't go overboard in the gore and special effects like most of these type of movies do. Poltergeist: The Legacy is about a team of paranormal experts who are desperate to find the last of the five druidic boxes before it gets into the wrong hands. If that were to happen, then God's fallen angels would be set loose upon the world. There is some gore, some violence and language. So, it is not a movie for children to watch. But, I think fans of the demonic genre will enjoy this fast-paced movie. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Highlander hit full stride here.
The TV series Highlander hit full stride here.

When Highlander arrived on TV, it started out with a good concept (taken from the first film, primarily), a real hero (Duncan - played with great self-assurance by Adrian Paul), but some bumps in the road that gave it a TV feel. This is evident in the first season, as the episodes are hit and miss, and the show wasn't operating on all cylinders until near the end of the season.

In the 2nd year, Highlander hit full stride, and with each successive episode, the series became more compelling. Many episodes from that year are excellent. The full Highlander team had to have known they had a winner, and the creative energy is high. These were the shows that solidified the fan base the show would ultimately have.

The 3rd season picked up right where the second took off, and by now Highlander was thriving, if in relative obscurity. The show had a level of synchronicity and often intensity, that made the very most of the concept. The actors (again, espeically Paul) the writers, and entire crew were obviously very inspired, as they turned out one excellent episode after another. Many of them masterfully interweaved.

The 4th season kept the pattern going. Adrien Paul, by now, WAS Duncan MacLeod - The Highlander. And the Highlander team continued with exploring characters, and changes. While the concept was limited (who will Duncan meet from his past this week?) because of what the cast and crew had working together - the show continued on putting out either excellent, or good shows, with the only flaw being the previously mentioned predictability.

The 5th season found the writers trying to vary the previous season's problems. With many espisodes Duncan more reserved, and sometimes mystical elements involved (which turned some fans off). But the professionalism continued.

By the 6th season, the show was hit and miss, and it seemed at times like it was soon to reach the end (which it did). The final episide was somewhat sentimental, but at the same time, fittingly obscure.

Highlander - Raven continued with the charming character of Amanda. But without Paul, the series didn't have the same backbone, and ultimately waned.

Adrian Paul would later reprise the Duncan MacLeod role in the film Highlander: Endgame, which is the best sequel as the films go (and on par with many TV episodes), but alas, the film did not fair well at the box office, as the previous sequels (2, and 3) were so bad, the mainstream stayed away. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars highlander-ish
It was a fresh, well-written episode although it contradicted the Highlander movies. This episode was fantastic and memorable.

But i'm glad to see the Highlander, immortals and other stuff still survive so the highlander fans' appetite will satisfied.

5-0 out of 5 stars Highlander: The Gathering
AWESOME. After the firts Highlander movie in 1985, Connor MacLeod returns to action, as he realizes that he is not alone, and that he did not reaceived the Prize, but the Gathering, that Ramirez ones told him about, and the pursuit of the Prize has began in 1985, and it will be end until only one remains. So, Connor goes on search of Slan Quince, an evil and ruthless Immortal, who kills the mortal familys of other Immortals, trying to get them into his search, and winning them because of their phychical weakness (something like that might have happend to Connor in the past). And sfter his wife's death in 1987 by a car accident, and having left Ramirez's sword close to his grave (after he won the man who killed him - The Kurgan), Connor takes an old friend's "Silver Braid" katana, and goes on Seacouver, where he finds again his long-time friend and kinsman Duncan MacLeod, who was born 74 years after him. Duncan, who was also a student of Connor's, is living for the last 12 years with Tessa Noel, a artist. But now, Duncan must re-enter the Game, because if he don't, he must have to face the death of his girlfriend, Tessa.

This special pilot episode introduces to as Duncan MacLeod, a kinsman and student of Connor MacLeod, born in 1592 also in Scotland. Of course, Duncan's character is (not of course entirely) different to Connor's. Adrian Paul purposely made Duncan MacLeod a different man -- more passionate in most areas (love-making, a.o.) -- than Connor. He always wanted his character to be different from Christopher Lambert's character, as opposed to taking over an existing role and this has worked out well. For example: Unlike his kinsman Connor, Duncan has not always been such an active participant in the Gathering.  He lets other Immortals come to him rather than seeking them out. In any case, Connor and Duncan have a unique teacher-friend-student connection (and like Connor and Duncan SSOOO much more than the useles -but impresive- Methos or the boring Joe Dawson). Although, ieven 8 years after it first aired in Sci-fi Channel, this episode deserves many credits - The clothing, the music, the objet d'arts - all draw us in to what promises to be a visual feast. Clearly Connor and Duncan MacLeod are man of wealth and taste. The characters (and the actors they play them-espcially Chrsitopher Lambert and Adrian Paul) themselves are truly beautiful in the classic sense of the word. Slan stands out because he is so physically at odds with the beauty surrounding him (iven Kane in Highlander: The Final Dimension is better than him). He muddies and stains everything he touches. So - the episode satisfies me visually, emotionally and intellectually. Despite some seemingly silly things about the Game, it is enough of a good story to keep my interest. Especially when it flavors the mix with intimations of ethical dilemmas that will face the hero - in his friendships, relationships, obligations and beliefs.

The message is very clear to us - there is so much pain in these people's lives that they studiously seem to avoid letting people get too close to them. Duncan presents two distinct faces to the world. On the one hand he is the serious, no -nonsense business man. He rarely laughs and is very tight. But with Tessa he is a sensual delight. He nuzzles her neck continuously. He touches her and enfolds her and is joyful when he is with her.

So - at the end of this episode, we stand and watch as Duncan MacLeod sets off on his journey. Would I define it as ill-fated? No. He is immortal, as Joe will keep him reminding that in future episodes. He has his own path to travel, his own race to run. In this episode we see them all there, running with him or cheering him on. We know how many times he will fall and how many of those onlookers and supporters will falter along the way - or die.

But we also know, after Not To Be-the 119 and final episode, that Duncan will never, ever, give up.

For more Connor-Duncan interaction, wait until Highlander: Endgame (a sequel to the first and third Highlander movie, and Highlander: The Series) comes out in September 1st.

5-0 out of 5 stars There Can Be Only One.... Remember that rule?
This first episode of the great TV serie, is by far one the bset episodes of the series, not only because Connor McLeod (the original Highlander, played greatfully by Christopher Lambert) is in it, making with his brief -but welcomed- appearence, a linkage the movies with the series (unlike others television shows, that they are just take the basic theme of the film, and transfered to the series, making with that a GREAT bastardisation of the film), and provides the Immortal universe to the next step. However, this episode (as the whole series does) is centered to Duncan McLeod, a clansmen and student of Connor McLeod, who was out of the Game, and with the help of Connor, he returns in it. Adrian Paul is wonderfull as Duncan McLeod, a character verry different to Connors. Richard Moll is just good, but could be better. This episode, one of the best of the series (along with "Watchers" "The End of Innocense" and others), can be easily called as "The Other Highlander 2", because is verry much better than this AWFULL movie. It has more story, and the developments of the characters are just great. Its easily a better sequel of the original movie than the "Highlander 2: The Quickening"

5-0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly great transition from film to TV
I was determined to hate this show. I mean, the Gathering was over, almost all of the immortals had been slain, and suddenly there was another Gathering? Whatever. Still, though, the very first episode of this series won me over (and I'm not just saying that because Adrian Paul looks good!). This TV series based on the cult Highlander films does justice to the movies, by including Connor MacLeod in the first episode and continuing on with a very fascinating story. This time, the focus is on Connor's kinsman Duncan Macleod (Adrian Paul), a fellow immortal who has come out of "retirement" to re-join the "game." Duncan spends most of this first season battling various immortals, but at the heart of it is his various relationships with the people he cares about, both mortal and immortal. It displays the problems that immortals must face once they choose to love a mortal, in this case, his relationship with his girlfriend Tessa. They live and grow together as time moves on, proving that "Just one year of love is better than a lifetime alone." In addition to the great cast, there is also the fact that the original music written for the movie by Queen is kept in. That really adds to the authenticity of the piece. I love the TV show and miss watching it, so I'm glad that it's out on video. It's worth buying, trust me.

5-0 out of 5 stars The student becomes the master
The Highlander Movie series has had many followers. However, for style and sensitivity, the TV series by far surpasses the its origins. Those who have seen the series and continue to watch the series on cable will agree that this series offers depth on many levels. My personal interests are the detailed costuming in the flashback sequences and the character development. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Scraping the barrel, but a good (if confusing) finale

5-0 out of 5 stars hawkeye from the inside looking out
I had a recurring role as a British Soldier (non speaking part) in Hawkeye and it was a great show to be on. It was filmed ENTIRELY on location in a purpose built fort in the Seymour watershed of Vancouver B.C. Linda C. was GREAT to work with and an elegant lady! All of the soldiers in the series were ex military or young militia guys and there was also a set historian to keep things in proper historical context. I am a bit older and had a "look" about me so I got to do lots of mean things like shooting a native woman in the back, hanging a young innocent guy and stuff like that! We were kept under "military discipline" from the moment we got on set in the morning till end of day. i.e. we had ranks as per military and we marched onto the set each morning to fife and drum, ran up the flag and gave it the old "God Save the King" business. Then we would march out and over to the holding area and await our scenes. Some of the guest directors were stunned and most pleased to see us marching up in the morning to the fort. As a result of this when it came to doing battle scenes we had a very good discipline on the set amid all the chaos that ensues in filming battles. It was a great relief for them to work with troops who had previous experience operating under fire! It was a blast but I have never bothered to do it again (act) as I am a writer (search amazon for a book by me) but it was an experience I will never forget. I bought a vhs copy of the episode THE SEIGE on amazon today.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hawkeye (pilot)
This was a wonderful, family oriented series and it is a shame that it was taken off the air . Lee Horsley is a very versitile,
and talented actor and gave the Hawkeye character warmth, moral integrity and strong, manly attributes.I highly recommend
this video.I hope that a syndicated network will bring this series back

5-0 out of 5 stars HAWKEYE - PILOT
As a big fan of Lynda Carter, Lee Horsley, Rodney Grant, and American History - this was the perfect video for me. It is beautifully acted and scripted with breathtaking scenary and a hauntingly beautiful opening theme. For those who appreciate period pieces, of which there are far too few, I highly recommend this entire series. It's a real shame that this quality show was taken off the air far too prematurely.

4-0 out of 5 stars HAWKEYE: WITH LYNDA CARTER
I enjoyed Hawkeye especially because of the beautiful Lynda Carter. Her acting abilities get better with each film and television show that she makes. This is one of my favourites because it is a real departure and has action, tragedy and drama. There are 2 or 3 videos to this series and I recommend them. I also enjoyed 'Hawkeye:Siege' which is the next installment. I highly recommend it for action fans, for Lynda Carter fans and for fans of period shows like "Dr Quinn". Quite a treat! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Enjoyable
Though it was made for television, I enjoyed this movie considerably. I thought the actors did well and the special effects were good. The only complaint I have is the fades appeared to be made for commercial breaks. Overlooking that, it was a pretty good movie. I like science fiction movies. Another good Mars movie I watched recently was Lost on Mars. I like any type of movie that has something to do with Mars.

2-0 out of 5 stars Made for TV?
Was this a major release? God, I hope not. They couldn't have spent much money on this film. It seemed flat and uninspired. The script and the acting was second rate. At no point was this film remotely believable. I watched it on TV for free when nothing else was on. That would be the only way to watch it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Escape from Mars
Escape from Mars is a film set in the year 2016, in which five astronauts journey to the red planet, on the first manned mission to another planet. The film is reasonably realistic, although the build up to, and the climax, is rather unconvincing. Although the film is science fiction, it seems more like a recount, due to the weak message which the movie portrays, which I believe to be 'taking risks can reward'. The plot, however, is complex enough to compensate for these matters. I believe that if the climax was more heavily anticipated and the message was emphasised more, then the movie would be very powerful.

The technical effects are very advanced. The spacecraft in which the astronauts travelled looks extremely realistic, and it's movement seems to abide to the laws of physics. To the untrained eye you cannot imagine how they filmed the spacecraft, although after playing the movie multiple times I did see a tiny string of nylon suspending the spacecraft in mid-air.

The amount of thought that was put into this movie was, in my opinion, was not as much as it could be. The movie at some points was lacking clarity, due to the fact that some sections were not emphasised enough, thus making it hard to understand. I also believe that the movie lacked some simple research, for example, when shots of the exterior of the space craft were filmed, you could here sounds, although sound does not travel through space. The astronauts were also filmed walking normally with their feet on the ground in a zero gravity environment, although this may be intentional, to show the technology advancement. As the film is set in the future, you would expect the technology to be different. In this movie, the technology has been changed adequately enough to show that there has been a technology advance, but so much that it becomes unfeasible. An example of the technology advance can be found within the computers used in mission control, which are a different shape and use a different user interface.

I believe that this movie was worth watching, and I did enjoy, because of the sense of realism, and the outstanding technical effects. It is obvious that a lot of work went into this movie, and that it should be commended. If I were to rate this film, I would give it four stars. Escape from Mars is appropriate for viewers older than eight, as it does require the presence of some technical knowledge and understanding. I would recommend this movie.

2-0 out of 5 stars Escape from torment... please
Compared to all the other Mars masterpieces out there, Escape from Mars does nothing for me. The acting was completely off-key and the photography reminded me too much of some homemade video. It's obviously a low-budget film. Special effects? Non-existent. The movie has one stupid outlook placed upon it, but the plot is actually fairly interesting. Yes, it's long. Yes, it's slow. But it's realistic. If your idea of science-fiction doesn't have to do with super-cool space aliens and high-flying action, then Escape from Mars may be your soup of the day. Of course, Red Planet and Mission to Mars are much better Mars films. Keep that in mind.

4-0 out of 5 stars a bit sketchy but made up for
Well, overall, the movie was pretty predictable and a bit stale but a couple of the actors really made the film worthwhile.Michael Shanks, better known for his role as Daniel Jackson in the hit tv series "Stargate SG-1",does an excellent job portraying Bill Malone, architect and scientist. His charisma lights up the screen yet again. Some of the other actors can be a bit dopey or sappy but it's an interesting concept for a movie and is just a good watch.Hey,it's not winning an award for best movie of the year or anything but it's still something worthwhile to watch! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Changes in Highlander
A darker look at Duncan MacLeod, that showed variety in the show, if not it's best side.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a brilliant series
Highlander is a wonderful series and season 4 is one of my favorites. Adrian Paul is magnificent as always but really puts in one of his best performances aa the Evil Duncan MacLeod.

Homeland is the first episode that was also directed by Adrian Paul and is set amongst the magnificent scenery of the Highlands of Scotland and shows what a great talent Adrian has not only as an actor but as a director.

Methos is also featured in several episodes along with Joe Dawson, with Amanda also making an appearence there is something for everyone.

Highlander is a great fantasy concept with lots of action and romance. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes action, fantasy and a little romance. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best of the best...
Season 3 was the best season of Highlander the series. Introducing some new and important characters to the rest of the series. It is one of the most exciting, though I enjoyed all six seasons. We meet Methos and run into some serious villains. The season ends on a really exciting note with a two parter introducing Kallas, an immortal who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even at the sacrifice of all Immortals and Watchers. A must have for any Highlander fan, Or any fan of Historical Fantasy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Arguably the best season
Season three is arguably the best season.

4-0 out of 5 stars Highlander Continues
When Highlander arrived on TV, it started out with a good concept (taken from the first film, primarily), a real hero (Duncan - played with great self-assurance by Adrian Paul), but some bumps in the road that gave it a TV feel. 5-0 out of 5 stars HEY HEY IT'S THE MONKEES!
Ok...so there's a little artistic license taken to increase the drama in the movie, but all in all, this is a great, feel-good film. While some may feel the "happy ending" is rather cheesy, I like it because it's done in the style of the old Monkee episodes. The actors portraying the Pre-Fab Four did a terrific job and even resemble the original Monkees, especially Jeff Geddis portraying Mike Nesmith. I loved the Monkees as a kid, but never knew the true story behind the making of the show and why it only lasted for two seasons. This movie will give you an idea.

What is worth the price of this DVD are the interviews with three of the Monkees that are included. You can still see the definite personalities of Jones, Tork, and Dolenz in these interviews and get more insight into how each viewed his Monkee experience and what each did once the series was cancelled.

The running commentaries by each of these three Monkees are priceless. I watched the film 3 times in a row, and each time the film was different because of the running commentary. Mickey Dolenz is hilarious and zany throughout the entire film; his commentary kept me in stitches. Peter is more introspective, analytical and pragmatic, pointing out inaccuracies in the film. Davy Jones has a lot to say--he comments throughout the entire film, providing insights and interesting personal revelations. Their diverse commentaries and interviews makes for an interesting movie. I highly recommend this DVD for any Monkees fan.

4-0 out of 5 stars Bad Movie; Great DVD
As a Monkee fan, I was thrilled when I heard this biopic was going into production & incredibly disappointed when it aired. While largely accurate as to what really happened, the film seemed cheesy & awkward, with not enough Monkee music & a jaw-droppingly silly happy ending. The DVD, however, is wonderful! Not only can you skip right to the movie's best parts (i.e. the "All of Your Toys" segment), but it contains FOUR commentary tracks - three of which are by actual Monkees: Davy Jones, Peter Tork, & Micky Dolenz. Tork's is an interesting factual account of how the movie compares to reality; Micky's is a silly track that gives the movie the razzing it deserves; and, best of all, is Davy's rambling & sometimes crazy commentary track which gives great insight into his life, his mindset, & his relationship with the reclusive Mike Nesmith. If you're interested in The Monkees, skip this film when it airs on cable & pick up the DVD instead!

5-0 out of 5 stars Daydream Believers: The Monkees Story
Okay Monkee Fans, this is a "must have". This is a chance for you to be a "fly on the wall" as the key moments in Monkee Lore take place. Nearly three years are compressed into this one entertaining and enlightening movie. The feature long commentaries by Davy, Peter and Mickey give you a glimpse at how each viewed these events in their own eyes at the time it happened. The individual interviews (alas... no Mike) are a great way to see how much the guys have changed, yet how much they are still the same lovable musicians we first adored.
I was thrilled as each one commented on how much they approved of the young man playing himself. They added individual insight, but pretty much let the film speak for the history of the group. The concert re-makes are fantastic. The re-makes of Davy's and Mike's screen tests prove just how dedicated these young men were to giving us "The Monkees". Amazing work!
My only regret is that Mike comes off as the bad guy and really doesn't get to defend himself or shed light on the story from his point of view. (His own chioce I'm sure).
You will thoroughly enjoy this and love that it is part of your collection. I do!

2-0 out of 5 stars Monkee Business
I was disappointed with this movie. It contains a multitude of historical inaccuracies that are too many to post here. Some of them have already been mentioned by previous reviewers. The audio commentaries and interviews with Micky, Davy and Peter are the highlights of the DVD. The actors playing the Monkees were good but very little attention was paid to details. Micky's hair was straight not curly in season one and Davy got rid of the Prince Valiant haircut in season two. Also, they combined Bert Schneider and Bob Rafelson into one character-Van. What was that all about? And then there's the cheesy happy ending straight out of a "Full House" episode. You know, one of those "awww" moments?

1-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!
This is a terrible, unbelievably bad movie. Whomever directed this garbage has absolutely ZERO talent & bad vision & needs to be banned from ever releasing another movie for public consumption. Where was the warning label on this DVD?? All this is is a collage of stories that were funny when the real Monkees told them, but this director has no sense of how to make a scene funny at all so he makes the stories really, really boring. The untalented writer couldn't even get the script right & mixed everything up. It doesn't even touch upon how the members left the group--at least that would have been interesting. And check out Davy & Mike's horrendous wigs!! ha! ha! The actors look sooooo stupid!
And (spoiler) the ending is so cheesy with everyone on the beach singing the theme song & dancing it made me want to throw up!!
If you want a much, much better story of the Monkees, then watch the 90 minute version of "Hey, Hey We're the Monkees" (NOT the import version!!) which features all the Monkees & others telling their own stories which are very funny & interesting.
With as bad as it is, there are at least interviews & commentaries with three of the Monkees (Micky, Davy & Peter --Mike was smart enough to avoid this embarrassment), although they don't provide much that you haven't heard before on other programs...
Bottom line is avoid this at all costs & stop funding bad movies! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting story lines:Eye of the Beholder & Avenging Angel
The first story line shows the conflict from the different pathways taken by an old close friend,Piton,an immortal, and Duncan MacLeod. Richie also is involved in this conflict. He is not yet an immortal and gets in over his head. Personally, I like the psychology of it. There are good fight scenes plus a novel way for Richie to get away from Piton. In the end, Duncan must kill his old friend. He has only sorrow and no joy when this is accomplished. The second story is along the idea that if a moderately insane man becomes immortal after death, what does the immortality do to him and his sanity. Clever story development. He becomes the granddaddy of all religious fanatics. Whereas before immortality, he was just a nuisance, now he is dangerous because he begins to kill "sinners." Tessa meets an old friend of her university days and gets a rude awakening that causes her grief. Duncan is unable to help the new immortal and eventually faces him in combat after Tessa was threatened. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Mediocre
I'm a fan of the highlander series since my childhood.
Howerver i disaprove with the ethnic view in this movie.
What i mean is... The only black person of (importance in this film is a perverted, evil sadist, played by Mario Van Peebles).
Another American minority group represented in this film is the latin american gang that tries to rob the white "hero" (christopher lambert) On top of this there is a asian woman that acts as a prostitute. This reminds me of the rasistic history america have. And rises the question if that is a expression of white supremacy?

5-0 out of 5 stars Unusual twist to story in Bad Day at Building A
Duncan drives Tessa and Richie to the police dept. so she can pay up a stack of speeding tickets. (Tsk!Tsk!) He awakens from dozing and hears shots fired in the building. Tearing off to the rescue, he is captured at the elevator by the dangerous felon and his cohorts. As a hostage,he volunteers to be 'killed'. Now follows a cat and mouse hunt and seek as he dispenses each bad guy to win the war. The very tender side of Duncan is shown when he has to take on the responsibility of protecting and caring for a little girl whose father works in the building. [Literary license--who would take a little girl to his work and put her in a janitor closet as big as two rooms together and leave her there all day alone?] The story puts the SWAP team of the police in a bad light of conflict with the one in communication with the killer. The team itself is efficient.

I like the hero showing gentleness toward children and others involved as hostages. The psychology of the killer versus McLeod is excellent.

4-0 out of 5 stars Four hundred years of adventures with the Highlander
If you are a fan of the martial arts,if you can enjoy the excitment of sword fighting, and the romance and adventures of four hundred years in the life of the Highlander, you will love the series staring Adrian Paul, a feast for the eyes as well as the imagination!

I recommend the series to everyone of all ages.

4-0 out of 5 stars Saving Grace
I really want to get this video about the Pope.

4-0 out of 5 stars Tessa gets sorely tried by Mac's "old" friends.
Saving Grace: Mac meets Grace, another immortal, in 1660. She will not accept Mac's warning about her lover, Sendaro. After a century, she leaves him as she can no longer tolerate his dictatorial and cruel ways. He kills her newer lover and frames Grace. Tessa tells Duncan that she understands Grace is his friend and in trouble. She would expect him to help her.

The Lady and the Tiger: 3 circus tickets are given to Mac. Here he meets the beautious Amanda who is once again getting Duncan into deep trouble. This is enjoyable to me because Mac shows constancy to Tessa despite Amand using her best "wiles." Duncan uses his wits and skills to get out of Amanda's traps. Good entertainment.

3-0 out of 5 stars Come to Duncan for help
These two videos follow the same plot lines. Both women come to Duncan for help. In "Saving Grace" Grace is sincere and really needs his help from an immortal stalker who can't get over the relationship they once had. In "The Lady and the Tiger," we get the first viewing of Amanda. The graceful thief who you will grow to love. She is trying to save her head from her fellow partner in crime from years ago. Why not offer him Duncan's. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable action. Good hero story line.
McLeod returns from China only to have Richie tell him that Tessa is overdue. Driving to where she was last seen, a sheriff greets him with the news that three dangerous wanted men are in the area. Not waiting for the sheriff's men, he takes off to track Tessa's captors. Reading signs, he has a flashback of how he learned the ways of the forest and tracking silently. Fighting tiredness, hunger, the forest and time while running through the forest, he is captured and is killed. His sword is taken, too.

Painfully he resumes his quest. The youngest mountain man is captured and restrained. Caleb, the leader [who turns out to be an immortal] kills the second one thinking that he is trying make time with Tessa. Locked into battle with Caleb, Duncan must fight against his own sword and receives a serious wound from it. Nevertheless, he fights on to take Caleb's head. The lovers are reunited and the sheriff shows up with the captive young mountain man in tow.

The interesting thing that makes me chuckle is that while Duncan was running through the forest, he ended up barefoot, shirtless, and only his slacks and cloth strips around his forearms. He carried no satchel. Nevertheless, not having left the area yet, he appears in full typical Duncan wardrobe including footware. How did he get it?

These little glitches don't bother me. I enjoy that Duncan McLeod is presented as a real hero and not the anti-hero who breaks the laws with impunity such as we have frequently. He drinks coffee and juice in the early days and doesn't present liquor as a panacea for all woes. He doesn't smoke. He has to take care of himeself because he needs to have a clear head and a well toned body. Adrian Paul must have worked very hard on the sword scenes because he acts like it is a natural part of him. This makes the story more realistic. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Highlander -Season 1(Sea Witch/Revenge is Sweet)
I heartily recommend this video as either a entry into the special magic of Highlander or a must see for Highlander collectors. "The Sea Witch will give you my favorite part of Highlander, the historically accurate flashbacks. Adrian Paul has a gift for languages, and it shows. I like the vibe between him and the captain of the Sea Witch, it is delightfully sinister.
