5-0 out of 5 stars Another brilliant saga conclusion of peter chungs series!
Peter chung is brilliant at his work. Aeon flux mission infinite is another chapter to mtvs(the old mtv wich kicked ass that now sucks!)original series, a mad plan to change the course of human evolution. A mysterious underworld where time and memory are stopped and erased. A drooling mutant baby and a virus that causes insanity. All chance encounters for Aeon flux anarchist and freedom fighter.

That is what AEON flux is a freedom fighter! She fights for what she believes and so does solid snake. mmmmmmm.... Maybe solid snake and aeon flux should hook up and snake can dump meryl. OK thats besides the point what you should do is get this amazing must have series and just like I said the first time, THIS IS A HARD TO FIND MOVIE!!!! I GOT THIS MOVIE 7 YEARS BACK AGO WHEN MTV ACCTUALLY DID KICK ASS!

SO I URGE YOU TO GET THIS VIDEO OR IF POSSIBLE DVD OUT NOW!!! IF YOU CAN EVEN FIND IT!

well cya.....

5-0 out of 5 stars MTV at it's absolute best
I usually despise MTV, it seems so trendy and worthless. But everyonce in a while MTV does something good and takes a risk. This was one of those times. I couldn't picture any other network promoting a show like this. It's anime but so much better. Peter Chung is a genius, I have watched all of the episodes so many times, and I still barely get them and I always figure out a new thing everytime. Describing the episodes is a fruitless exercise, watching them is the only valid way of explanation. It's a beautiful thing. I have only one wish, and that is that they made more. I am done.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best animated series made in the US
Created by the brilliant mind of Peter Chung, Aeon Flux is easily one of the best American animated shows of the 20th Century. The first episode focuses on a species that has the ability to erase all memory. While Aeon deals with her nude pictures of her and Trevor, Aeon trys to help victims of the species. Aeon encounters a man who was affrected by this species who is trying to extince them all. After some chasing around and finding out some secrets, the man Aeon was trying to help loses his memory forever. In the second episode, Aeon and Trevor are bouth after a lab that contains a chemical for world wide happiness. This however leads to Aeon finding a mutant baby that plays with peoples minds. This leads Aeon into a new world. In the last episode, Trevor attempts to kill off half the human population in order to evolve into a species with no orafices. That episode was propably the best one. One thing very keen about the show is that the plot moves either extremly fast or extremly slow. Either way, the three episodes on here are exelelnt, easily worth buying.

5-0 out of 5 stars AW MAN!
THEY sold the last tape!
DAMN CAUSE I WAS GONNA BY IT!
I only have mission infinite and the first tape.
Im gonna oventually get it though if they still have it
I doubt they do cause Aeon Flux is very rare. The tapes and the dvd are both rare. I have the first 2 tapes but they are really wearing out and the picture quality isnt as good as when I first got it but its an alright condition and I can still see every thing but its in a bad picture frame and fuzzy too but thats probably cause I got the tape around 1998. I hope they come out with a third one on amazon cause this is AEON AT HER FINEST.
The best!

5-0 out of 5 stars Aeon Flux: Why is it so cool? Who knows...
Enter the world of Aeon Flux; a strange, future world that includes a city split by two very different political parties (much like the berlin wall!) strange charactors with even stranger intentions and well made action sequences. This cartoon has literal and metaphorical meanings. The symbolism that is present in the cartoon is unbelievable. Episodes on this tape include the first episode of the series where we are introduced to Trevor Goodchild, the leader of the "communist" government in which there is no privacy and his obsession with a strange monican woman named Aeon Flux. The second, an even stranger episode is about a magical alien being called the demiurge, in which if one is in it's pressence, they are transformed to a goddly creature and their conscience altered. The third, probably most confusing out of the three, is about Trevor's pardise he has made underneath a million of gallons of strange artificial fluid. It is more like a dream rather than an adventure. In this station, Aeon and her friend have to free a scientist who is the only one who can free the prisoners held in this world. Be totaly blown away at the strange drawings in this series, at the symbolism of little events, the metaphors that are presented in a non-literal sence. This is a must buy for anyone who enjoys philosophy and action.

4-0 out of 5 stars The final Aeon Flux leaves you wanting more.
Not as compelling as the first, but the art and dialogue are top notch. If this truly is the end of the animated Aeon Flux, then let us pray for a live action film to ressurect this strange and wonderful venue.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's Aeon, of course, so it must be good.
The final installment for all us sticky-fingered flux-o-philes... I really just popped in when I saw CL's review - you've got your tapes backwards. What CL describes is the lineup for Aeon Flux:Mission Infinite. Operative Terminus contains Utopia or Deuteronopia - the 1st introductory show of the 30minute long episodes, The Demiurge - an intriguing and beloved episode that boils down to Aeon vs. God, and Ether Drift Theory - a flat out action story which is the last time we see Aeon die. Also included is the elusive short 'Night' from Aeon's Liquid TV days. Enjoy...

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful! Aeon at her best.
This video contains three of the third season episodes of ÆON FLUX. It contains Reraizure, which is about Nargiles and a person Aeon cares about named Rorty. It contains Chronophasia, way to confusing to explain. And End Sinister which is about human evolution and such. This is a animated show which should not be viewed by protective people. This one contains almost no violence but a lot of morals. Enjoy like I have. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very cool stuff.
Higher on the strange factor than The Maxx, as well as being less profound about it's humanity, Aeon Flux is nonetheless fascinating, highly original, and down right kick ass. Any fan of adult animation would find this very stylized, sometimes unsettling vison of sex and violence in whatever bizarre, alternate reality it exists in, very cool, indeed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Animation and Very Interesting Storylines
As a science fiction book this would make it, as a movie this would make it, maybe even as some sort of CD, but the perfect format for these interesting storylines is none of those but rather the animated TV series format that it finds itself in. Its the perfect format to accentuate the hard edged never quite all there feeling that this storyline brings about. Reminiscent to me of so many of the storyline/mythos type TV shows that are out there where they never quite tell you what is going on, Aeon Flux is still better than many of those in that it always gives you just enough to make you think you have some idea of what's going on while never giving you too much. This first tape contains some of my absolute favorite episodes. I plan to buy the rest as well, but this definitely is the best of them. This is truly the closest America has ever come to the same type of anime produced abroad and in some ways I prefer it since the storylines definitely all have an American edge to them. Overall an excellent video with a very postmodern feel to it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Serious and Sophisticated
"That which does not kill us, makes us stranger" - Dr. Trevor Goodchild, Aeon Flux

My wife was using the computer to talk to her mother in England, and my 3 month old son was crying. I turned on some classical music... didn't help. Turned on the TV to MTV and put him in front of it. La Ley came on... first time I've ever seen the Chilean band, though they were managed by wife's cousins' husband. Cool, I thought. My son stopped crying.

Next thing I know, Aeon Flux was on. My son started crying again, so I took him to his mother and watched what I thought was a crazy-future-spider-woman-cartoon (my father in-law's real name is Peter Parker). Anyway...

As an AI guy working on artificial consciousness, I found myself fascinated. I became fully involved in the show. I think this is the first time that has ever happened without altering my brain chemistry.

Is this what kids are growing up on now? My God, I can forgive Pokemon and Dragon Ball now.

I obviously need to change my audience. Young people today deal with technological issues that many researchers just refuse to consider seriously.

I digress... Suffice it to say, I'm buying every episode. This is the first cartoon that ever caused me to take notes since the very first episode of Ren & Stimpy I saw that caused me to have a heavy flashback.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Aeon Flux tape worth buying!
This first of the three Aeon Flux tape contains the best episodes of this very unusual animated MTV series. The storylines are the most engaging, the animation is top-notch... all in all, those who enjoy animation and/or the cyberpunk genre should DEFINATELY add this to their collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Leather, Blood, and Gun Powder
Aeon Flux is simply the best thing to come out of MTV. This sexy killer plows her way though countless soldiers of her neighboring country. cirtenly a bloodbath for all ages. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars 4 stars for trying....
lt tryed but didnt catch up with the fans...id recomend getting the actuall series like aeon flux the maxx wich are prity hard to find. I think they ran out of print for aeon flux......

By the way has any one here ever heard of an old mtv 30 minute animated series for adults called Cartoon sushi? It came out in the middle of 98...just wanderin when they might come out with a vhs or dvd......but give this video a try if you can find it..

3-0 out of 5 stars Not so best of..
This tape could have been better..there are so many great shorts they didn't include on here..I don't know who chose the "best of" on this tape, but they were obviously a big Aeon Flux fan as that's what is featured the most on this tape.
Crazy Ed daisy is about the only thing good on here..and it wasn't even his funniest skit..forget volume 2 it's even worse

4-0 out of 5 stars All Hail, Liquid Television!
There's no denying that Liquid Television was one of the most innovative and entertaining shows to ever grace our television sets, thus making this compilation tape well worth tracking down. If I had one critisism, it would be that it's a little lacking in the Weird department, but nontheless still makes for fun viewing. Included are such classics as Aeon Flux, Crazy Daisy Ed, Stick Figure Theatre, Dr Zum and The Dangwoods. It's a damn shame that such wonderfully bizarre and creative viewing as LTV is no longer screened, but those of us who were lucky enough to have experienced the show will appreciate what is on display here.

3-0 out of 5 stars 45 min. is never enough...
Liquid Television was one of the very first animation shows that aired on MTV, and cetainly probably one of the best. It's were Aeon Flux, and Beavis & Butt-head first got it's start, and for the most part the first video mainly focuses on the Aeon Flux's claim to fame with 4 of her original episodes.Which is ok, but if you are buying this video for her, you might as well just get her full length video from MTV instead. Whatever happend to winter steel, or dogboy, or even beavis and butt-head's first skit? Well this maybe a good collection for those of us who forgot to tape it while MTV was airing it, but it certainly cant get all the best of's in one 45 minute tape....

4-0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
I am going to list all the shorts on this tape, then express my thoughts.

Uncle Louie: Louie find a way to travel fast.

Aeon Flux: Aeon takes on an air assasination.

Crazy Daisy Ed: Ed runs into the cops.

Stick Figure Theater: Relive the King Henry era.

Dr. Zum: Zum explores the atom bomb factory.

Aeon Flux: Aeon runs into trouble on a night mission.

Stick Figure Theaters: The Night of the Living Dead and the Crash of the Hindenburg.

Dangwoods: Dwade get's caught up in bad dreams.

Aeon Flux: Aeon must save a harbor from sinking.

Crazy Daisy Ed: Ed rips on his friends landlord.

Big City: Music video of African-American life.

One Less Ant: A boy discovers how bad an ant can feel.

Aeon Flux: It's WAR! Aeon dies quickly, but it is lengthy.

Raisen: Watch as Hamilton pulls a Malade out of a hat.

The only shorts I feel that shouldn't be included is Dangwoods and Big City, because they are too long and not really entertaining. I love Aeon Flux, Crazy Daisy Ed and Stick Figure Theater as they are very original. Overall, worth the bucks, but I wish there was more on here. ... Read more
