4-0 out of 5 stars Good movie, bad dvd transfer!
This is a great movie that is based on a rather strange short story by the master himself, Stephen King. The original short story was very short and had a "strange" ending. This movie, i my opinion is better than the story by far. The original short story I think is only 20 or 30 something pages and lacks alot of characterization. This movie fills in the giant hole that is in the short story. And believe it or not, this made-for-tv movie has great acting. The boys who play the hoods are pretty convincing--especially Richard Lawson. The story is about a teacher named Jim Norman who moves to a new town in whicch his brother was killed by a group of hoods in about thirty years earlier. He keeps having dreams about them that are haunting him. One day on of his students ends up missing and one of the dead hoods from the 50's is seating in his seat--for every person they kill another one comes back. Student after student keeps being killed and another after another hood returns to class for revenge. Th only way that they can be stopped is if they have a final confrontation with Jim back in the tunnel that claimed the lives of his brother and the hoods. The results are awesome. On another note the DVD isnt very good. The transfer doesnt seem to do the justice. The picture messes up every once and a while and sometimes i noticed that the words seem to not match their mouth! The sound is awesome though. Thank you for your time.

5-0 out of 5 stars A masterpiece!!!!
Wow!!! What a great movie. This is my favorite movie of all time. Sometimes they come back is so well thought out. The story is heartbreaking and startling on some scenes. Although, you can't help but to laugh at those killers at times. The laughs!!!! You'll never forget the hoods's laughs.
Jim Norman goes back to his hometown years after he and his family fled when he was just a kid. The horrible death of his older brother drove he and his parents to live elsewhere. Although, since this was the only teaching job open, Jim has returned once again. The horrible day when his brother was harassed by 4 gangsters that soon led to three of the hoods's deaths is played over and over again in Jim's mind, for Jim's brother lost his life too. Jim is constantly haunted in his dreams but soon he is haunted literally. The 3 departed gangsters return one by one to finish "unsettled business".
This is a must see film. Every actor was so good at their part. It seems like you're there and all through the movie, you're on edge for Jim and his family as he deals with the figures on his past.

This Movie Is Great! Both Of Them. I Like Both Of Them. I Thing The People Who Like "Sometimes They Come Back" And "Sometimes They Come Back Again" Should Try "Sometimes They Come Back For More"

5-0 out of 5 stars A perfect 10!
This movie was extrememly fun and exciting. Although it's considered horror, to me it was just pure action and entertainment from start to finish! I love the way 3 cool greasers from the '60s come back in the '90s and are exactly the same as when they died in '63. How cool those greasers were and the way all the other kids marveled at their charisma in the classroom was cool! It was also cool how that kid Jimmy became a man and then stood up to them. Those greasers and their hotrod were so cool. This movie is an A plus! Rock on Stphen King!

Desperate for work, troubled high school teacher Jim Norman (Tim Matheson) relocates his family to his rural hometown after procuring a much-needed job there. Once home he must relive and confront a childhood nightmare:the high school hoodlums who murdered his older brother in a tunnel ambush, and were killed themselves by an oncoming train, are slowly rising from the grave to finish the job by killing Norman. The ghostly hooligans, who appear as flesh and blood to students, start "transferring" into school when some of Norman's students mysteriously perish; however their phantom, fire-spitting car is invisible to all but their victims.Suspicion for the inexplicably rising student-body count soon falls squarely on Norman, who must find a way to protect his wife and son from danger, vanquish the supernatural hoods, and cast off the shackles of his past. It's a fairly straightforward plot with some obvious elements, but Matheson and his supporting cast (including wife Brooke Adams) create a suspenseful, fear-inducing atmosphere under the able direction of Tom McLoughlin from a screenplay adaptation by Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal. --Bryan Reesman ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Cool anime.
The best of the best anime title. Although this isn't as good as Tekkaman Blade - Stage 1, this is just as close as possible. I like the animation in this one, as well as the fighting. I rate this movie 5 stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not great, not bad.
This is actually the first real mecha anime I saw, and it's not bad. The plot in this 6-episode OAV series focuses mainly on a large war between the Tekkaman and the Radham space armies, but throws in a few sub-plots involving romance and friendship, making the story appeal to a wider range of audiences. The first three episodes mainly focus on background and character development, and the characters didn't strike me as very likable. Despite the extra fan service scenes, these were some of the less exciting episodes. The series becomes much more exciting in the second half, where a mysterious armored antagonist leaves Tekkaman Blade in near fatal condition. One of the space knights, David, unknowingly befriends the enemy in human form, and both of them are surprised when they learn who the other is. The enemy, Dead, is trying to recreate a horrible massacre from the past which he can't let go of. His wish is that his new friend, David, will kill him in the process so that he can accompany his dead comrades. This leads to a few exciting and powerful events, such as the part where David and Dead stand over the face of a large clock, and David's blade is an inch away from Dead's neck. The clock chimes on the hour and David can't seem to make the final decision about Dead's fate. Scenes like this are what anime is all about.

There are some flaws which definitely detracted from the series, though. First of all, numerous scenes that are supposed to be dramatic are accompanied with corny lines that ruin their overall effect. They could have used a cool line in more than one place. Also, in a few major battles, the explosions are so huge and numerous that I couldn't tell what ... was going on until afterwards when the characters said what actually happened. Both of these problems wouldn't be such a nuisance if they didn't occur so frequently. Even with these problems, Tekkaman Blade shoots right back up with its excellent soundtrack. The opening and closing themes are powerful and energetic. Any fan of mecha will want to take a look.

4-0 out of 5 stars O My God.
What can i say about Tekkaman? It truly is one of the classics, while Stage II is not as good as Stage I, it still grips you and makes you want more. Now if only the blasted things would come out on DvD! If anybody knows when, tell me!

2-0 out of 5 stars JUST STICK WITH KRUSH GROOVE ~~~~
There area few pioneers in the movie - thats cool. I hate to say it, this movie was stupid, even back when it was produced. Just watch Krush Groove, its way more entertaining.

3-0 out of 5 stars Rappin'
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Even though the performances are not fabulous the film is memorable for it's cast. Even Ice-T has one of his pre-gangsta performances i.e. Breakin' & Breakin'2. This is a must have for 80s hip hop fans. Eric LaSalle of E.R. fame even stars in this film alongside Mario Van Peebles. This film is a reminder of how simple life was in the 80s and how easy it was to make films that appeal to a culture.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Fake Rap Movie Ever
Oh baby, this is the one. An incredibly phony rags to riches rap movie complete with all jewish screenwriters and director, Mario Van Peebles sportin' a Jheri curl, old white people getting down....man this movie is a CLASSIC!!! This is the Star Wars of cheesy mid-80s rap movies. I have seen this movie over 100 times and I pick up something new every time I watch it. I can't recommend this movie enough, but if you ain't down with Cheese, don't bother. This is not a movie for serious people.

2-0 out of 5 stars Rappin! This Movie Had To Happen....
...so says the ads for this laughable film known for Mario Van Peeble's weak rappin' abilities, thin plot and some of the cheesiest moments in a music-oriented movie. And when grandma starts to rap, it's time to run for cover! Only saving grace in this film is a performance by the Force M.D.s, the pioneers of hip-hop soul. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Stephanie Zimbalist was great in this movie
Stephanie Zimbalist had once again demostrated to her audience and herself that she is a able actress. Hollywood should pay more attention to her and give her more roles in art-house/ independent movie roles. She was really good in this movie and a delight as usual to see her on the screen.
