Another amazing journey!
Now it starts off when the family is planning a plane trip to Canada. Chance the american bulldog thinks that instead of going to Canada he is going to the dog pound because his owner Jamie has been mean to him. Chance escapes from the cage and runs through the airport with Shadow the golden retriever and Sassy the Himilayan cat trying to stop him. Now these animals get lost in a city and comes across stray dogs that don't like humans. That really gives a moral lesson to humans about how dogs feel not having a home. Throughout, the animals will come across dog fights, rescuing a boy from a fire, and avoiding dog catchers. During their trip to finding the bridge back home Chance gets a girlfriend named Delilah.
This movie had it's funny moments like the first one but the only sad moment was when Chance lost his girlfriend going back home and almost getting hit by a truck. I would recommend this movie if you liked the first one and see if you like it as much.

As Good As The First
This, like the original, was really good. I saw it in the movie theaters when I was little, and had been a big fan of the original before that.

This one takes a good direction: pets lost in the city. I think it is a little funnier than the first. Having all the different dogs around makes the movie more fun, the two bad dogs and Reilly's gang. Chance's girlfriend, Delilah, just got in the way here. I've noticed that in a lot of sequels to Disney originals, a main character falls in love. It gets boring after awhile. Both HOMEWARD BOUND movies are real good, and that's a compliment coming from me, since I'm getting more into the horror genre now. Anyway, defenately rent them both, they're really fun to watch. In my opinion, there should be a HOMEWARD BOUND III made. I wouldn't mind another sequel to finish off the trilogy.

Really Funny Movie
This is a really funny movie for adults and kids! My younger kids like watching it to see the kitty and doggies, and my older kids love the funny jokes!

I recommend this movie.

Awesome Family Film
My kids and I thought this movie was fantastic. We watched it right after watching the first movie. After viewing this film my and 8 & 6 year olds were pretending to be the characters in the film, playing with our own dogs and cats. Wholesome family movie. Highly recommended.

Cruisin in San Francisco!
I loved the video. it was great, not as warm as HB1 but still good. Chance as usual not willing to follow orders and stay in his traveling box to Canada, runs out of the plane, forcing Sassie and Shadow to chase after him. They all wind up in San Francisco. They get rescued by some feral dogs from a couple of mean dogs. Chance falls in love with a dog. 2 dirtylooking mean guys roam around in a red truck catching animals until near the end when the ferals and the trio swamp them. One funny scene had Chance trapped in the red van with other dogs and Sassie on the outside telling him to admit "Cats Rule" in order to be freed. There was a scene where the 2 guys accidentally throw a cigarette at a house which causes a fire and so Shadow goes in to save a little boy and Sassie goes in to save the boy's kitten--this is the same boy that Sassie had tried to beg some food from earlier but Chance had ruined her chances by showing up. funny. A baseball comedy and slob comedy rolled into one, this one actually works as entertainment, if not as a piece of cinematic mastery. James Gammon is the has-been manager hired to lead the last-place Cleveland Indians whose owner wants them to lose so she can sell them. But the team of has-beens and never-wases that he assembles (including Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Corbin Bernsen, and Wesley Snipes) develops a sense of pride and turns the team around. There's plenty of rowdy humor about sex, race, and whatever else they can make fun of. My favorite movie!
It's not a deep drama and it won't make you ask you any tough questions of yourself, but Major League is pure entertainment from beginning to end. As such, it's my all-time favorite movie. It's easy to invest in the story (a Cleveland team made up of spare parts tries to overcome their owner's plot to move the franchise) even if it's been dated by the Indians' '90s success. The comedy doesn't pull any punches but still stays pretty tasteful, and I still find it laugh-out-loud funny even after 30+ viewings. The comedy is equal parts outstanding writing by David S. Ward and brilliant characterizations by the actors. James Gammon is dead-on as grizzled manager Lou Brown and Tom Berenger is actually sympathetic as journeyman catcher Jake Taylor. Dennis Haysbert and Corbin Bernsen give great performances, and Charlie Sheen is inimitable as Wild Thing Vaughn. I think any baseball fan will enjoy this movie, but fans of good comedy will probably like it, too.

The DVD has no special features (what else do you expect from Paramount?), but the picture and sound are good.

Major Fun
No, you're not going to walk away from this movie thinking about how to achieve world peace or end poverty, but you will be walking away with a smile. MAJOR LEAGUE is a lighthearted, entertaining film that also happens to be hysterically funny. Throw the great sport of baseball into the mix and MAJOR LEAGUE is a win/win for those who love the game and those who just want to have a good laugh.

There's nothing complicated about the plot. When an aggressive femme fatale (Margaret Whitton) inherits the Cleveland Indians from her late husband, her plan is to put together a team so bad it will lose its fan base and allow her to relocate. And so a band of misfits is put together: washed-up players, inexperienced players, headcases. Of course, predictably, her plan goes awry, but it's still good fun watching the antics of the Indians as they misfire and then come together over a long, long season.

Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Rene Russo, Corbin Bernsen, and Wesley Snipes headline a great cast. Bob Uecker is absolutely hysterical. My favorite character is manager Lou Brown (James Gammon) who delivers the film's funniest line, but one I dare not repeat here (it would never get past the editors)! Grab a hot dog and a beer, pull up a chair, and let MAJOR LEAGUE put a wide grin on your face.

Just a fun movie and I'm in it
This is more a nostalgia note than a review, but most of this movie was filmed over one summer in Milwaukee (maybe Cleveland wasn't blue-collar enough). All the baseball action scenes were filmed in County Stadium, which is now a big parking lot for Miller Park. The crew invited locals to the filming at the Stadium and other locations about town, so it has a lot of local flavor. I went to the filming of the big finale to be part of the "rabid" crowd so I'm in this move, kind of. It's fun to see Uecker do his stuff, and Pete Vukovich, a former Brewer pitcher, is perfect as Heywood, the Yankee nemesis.

People from out of town said County Stadium was a dog of a ballyard, but look for the scene when Berenger sneaks onto the field at night alone and pretends to hit one out. It sure looks pretty, and I miss it.

Cinema's gift to shower singing
Its always amazing to me how people take movies like this so seriously that they think their "astute" observations about plot predictability pass for intelligent bashing. It's a simple movie and it deserves a simple review.

As far as baseball comedies go, this is by far the best ever.

Life Imititates Art
Years after this movie's release the Oakland A's defeated Red Sox in 12th inning with bases loaded bunt by catcher. That is what is so great about the movie...the baseball is grounded in realistic play and not artificial home runs as in the Natural.

Uecker and Gammons ( playing Manager Lou Brown) are terrific.
"Just a bit outside" is now the classic comment for a really bad pitch.

Some of the voodoo stuff is overdone, but it is a fun movie ... Read more

It has its moments
This is one of those movies that Hollywood produces with the "throw in a nickel, get a dime" attitude. It's a low cost film with a bunch of no name actors and a relatively famous one. Scott Bakula does a fine job, playing the player turned minor league manager.

The cinematography is fair, it's a watchable film, we get to see the return of Pedro Cerrano and Taka Tanaka. I wouldn't have high expectations of this film though. It is a clichéd storyline, and if you want a better baseball movie watch "Bull Durham."

Just make sure when you buy this film to not get the Spanish subtitles unless you need them, I accidentally did just that.

Baseball to the MAX!!
Great Movie! I think it is hilarious. Especially without guys like Rick Vaughn, Willie Mays Hays, Jack Parkman. I do enjoy the new guys, like Billy "Downtown" Anderson, Taka Tanaka. It's funny how those guys don't appear but Pedro Cerrano does. Baseball fans, this movie's for you no questions asked!!!!

Underrated by many
People think Major League, and they think Rick "The Wild Thing" Vaughn, Willie "Mays" Hayes and Pedro Cerrano. This film has nothing to do with those Indians teams from 1 & 2, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

I think they should have just simply renamed the film. There's nothing wrong with having a different name for a film with a few of the same characters such as Roger Dorn, Pedro Cerrano and Taka Tanaka.

This movie comes out with some good baseball knowledge for both on the field and off the field stuff. Pops McGee and Doc who's fastballs couldn't kill a fly if it hit is straight on are great examples of what you see in the minors. Guys with heart who just aren't good enough to make it to the Bigs. Then there's the prima donna top prospect "Downtown" Anderson who thinks he's the next Ken Griffey Jr.

This film is meant to be fun, it's not supposed to be Bull Durham. It delivers what it wanted to deliver...entertainment. Especially for the baseball fan who doesn't want to see a monkey or a 10 year become a major leaguer. Although Little Big League is underrated as well, but that's a different story.

I would give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars if it were possible, but we can't vote like that here, so I rounded it up.

Gus Cantrell,(Scott Bakula) washed up minor league pitcher is given the undertaking of managing the Twins minor league affiliate the Buzz. I said undertaking not job for a reason! But Gus utilizes former teammates and previous movie cast members talents to turn this team from laughingstock to laudatory. This movie gives great laughs. The ace relief pitcher cant be picked up on the teams radar gun because it only picks up speeds above 60. The shortstop and second baseman are identical twin brothers both named Luis. Taka Tinaka and Pedro Sorano the voodoo twins are reunited and provide ample laughs when they come to bat with black hoods over their heads and use pieces of wood they find as bats. The teams speedster is a former ballet dancer who curtseys for the crowd after scoring runs. Meanwhile, the plot centers around the team possibly being better than the major league team, and Gus's rivalry with the big club's manager, and possibly even being his replacement.

the Major league series is a good series and this is a good movie. I thought it was dumb though how they where with the Indians and now they are with the Twins but I guess the Indians are better now and cost more money to get their rights. The Cleveland Gang is back
The first Major League movie was a good one but this is better. The Cuban Crusher Pedro Cerano, Rick "The Wild Thing" Vaughn, Willie Mayes Hayes, and newcomer Rude Baker are one fire. Rick comes to this season as a ... pretty boy pitcher who cares too much about injuring his arm that he can't even throw 90. Cerano comes back as a spiritual Budha and is so stupid now that he hits a bird with a baseball and runs in the outfield to save it's life while he gets tagged out... Willie comes back without the speed but has a lot more power and as a movie star with a leg injury. New-comer Rude Baker can't throw to the pitcher even though he's a catcher. See if they'll come back. Also a funny Japenese outfielder is added on who has spritual fights with Cerano.

With several new players to the team, like a crazy japanese fielder, and a Playboy fanatic catcher, plus star pitcher, Rick Vaughn, has went clean cut and lost his powerful arm. Add to this with a host of other problems, the Indians are in for another struggling season of baseball. I liked this movie a lot, and it is my 2nd favorite of the trilogy of the Major League movies, with the original being my favorite.

The DVD menus look great, and easy to navigate. I was expecting loads of extras, but I didn't get much. All that is here is just a thing called "The Starting Line Up" which is pictures of all the movie's main actors on baseball cards. And a trailer for this movie, plus for 2 other movies also.

The hard luck Indians are back for another season
While this isn't the instant classic that the first MAJOR LEAGUE movie was, I actually like the sequel as well as the original.

The only thing really missing from the first film is Wesley Snipes as center fielder Willie Mays Hayes, but Omar Epps does a nice job in his place.

So what if you know that they're going to pull if off from the outset...it's all about the journey right?

Bob Uecker makes the film!

Overall, it's a great DVD for a great price. Buy it!

Rick comes to this season as a ... pretty boy pitcher who cares too much about injuring his arm that he can't even throw 90. Cerano comes back as a spiritual Budha and is so stupid now that he hits a bird with a baseball and runs in the outfield to save it's life while he gets tagged out... Willie comes back without the speed but has a lot more power and as a movie star with a leg injury. New-comer Rude Baker can't throw to the pitcher even though he's a catcher. See if they'll come back. Also a funny Japenese outfielder is added on who has spritual fights with Cerano.

They're back!
The Indians are back for another season. With several new players to the team, like a crazy japanese fielder, and a Playboy fanatic catcher, plus star pitcher, Rick Vaughn, has went clean cut and lost his powerful arm. Add to this with a host of other problems, the Indians are in for another struggling season of baseball. I liked this movie a lot, and it is my 2nd favorite of the trilogy of the Major League movies, with the original being my favorite.

The DVD menus look great, and easy to navigate. I was expecting loads of extras, but I didn't get much. All that is here is just a thing called "The Starting Line Up" which is pictures of all the movie's main actors on baseball cards. And a trailer for this movie, plus for 2 other movies also.

The hard luck Indians are back for another season
While this isn't the instant classic that the first MAJOR LEAGUE movie was, I actually like the sequel as well as the original.

The only thing really missing from the first film is Wesley Snipes as center fielder Willie Mays Hayes, but Omar Epps does a nice job in his place.

So what if you know that they're going to pull if off from the outset...it's all about the journey right?

Really Funny Baseball Comedy
Some people would say it doesn't live up to the first one, but I think it does, and it may even be better.

The Clevelend Indians are back, and better than ever. Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn is trying to throw curveballs, Willie Mayes Hayes tries to become a power hitter, Pedro Sorano converts to Buddhism, and more. It has some really high points, and it kept me laughing.

My favorite are the Chinese guys who clean up the field after the games. They're really funny.

Overall, it's a great DVD for a great price. Buy it!

My favorite movie!
It's not a deep drama and it won't make you ask you any tough questions of yourself, but Major League is pure entertainment from beginning to end. As such, it's my all-time favorite movie. It's easy to invest in the story (a Cleveland team made up of spare parts tries to overcome their owner's plot to move the franchise) even if it's been dated by the Indians' '90s success. The comedy doesn't pull any punches but still stays pretty tasteful, and I still find it laugh-out-loud funny even after 30+ viewings. The comedy is equal parts outstanding writing by David S. Ward and brilliant characterizations by the actors. James Gammon is dead-on as grizzled manager Lou Brown and Tom Berenger is actually sympathetic as journeyman catcher Jake Taylor. Dennis Haysbert and Corbin Bernsen give great performances, and Charlie Sheen is inimitable as Wild Thing Vaughn. I think any baseball fan will enjoy this movie, but fans of good comedy will probably like it, too.

The DVD has no special features (what else do you expect from Paramount?), but the picture and sound are good.

Major Fun
No, you're not going to walk away from this movie thinking about how to achieve world peace or end poverty, but you will be walking away with a smile. MAJOR LEAGUE is a lighthearted, entertaining film that also happens to be hysterically funny. Throw the great sport of baseball into the mix and MAJOR LEAGUE is a win/win for those who love the game and those who just want to have a good laugh.

There's nothing complicated about the plot. When an aggressive femme fatale (Margaret Whitton) inherits the Cleveland Indians from her late husband, her plan is to put together a team so bad it will lose its fan base and allow her to relocate. And so a band of misfits is put together: washed-up players, inexperienced players, headcases. Of course, predictably, her plan goes awry, but it's still good fun watching the antics of the Indians as they misfire and then come together over a long, long season.

Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Rene Russo, Corbin Bernsen, and Wesley Snipes headline a great cast. Bob Uecker is absolutely hysterical. My favorite character is manager Lou Brown (James Gammon) who delivers the film's funniest line, but one I dare not repeat here (it would never get past the editors)! Grab a hot dog and a beer, pull up a chair, and let MAJOR LEAGUE put a wide grin on your face.

Just a fun movie and I'm in it
This is more a nostalgia note than a review, but most of this movie was filmed over one summer in Milwaukee (maybe Cleveland wasn't blue-collar enough). All the baseball action scenes were filmed in County Stadium, which is now a big parking lot for Miller Park. The crew invited locals to the filming at the Stadium and other locations about town, so it has a lot of local flavor. I went to the filming of the big finale to be part of the "rabid" crowd so I'm in this move, kind of. It's fun to see Uecker do his stuff, and Pete Vukovich, a former Brewer pitcher, is perfect as Heywood, the Yankee nemesis.

People from out of town said County Stadium was a dog of a ballyard, but look for the scene when Berenger sneaks onto the field at night alone and pretends to hit one out. It sure looks pretty, and I miss it.

Cinema's gift to shower singing
Its always amazing to me how people take movies like this so seriously that they think their "astute" observations about plot predictability pass for intelligent bashing. It's a simple movie and it deserves a simple review.

As far as baseball comedies go, this is by far the best ever.

Life Imititates Art
Years after this movie's release the Oakland A's defeated Red Sox in 12th inning with bases loaded bunt by catcher. That is what is so great about the movie...the baseball is grounded in realistic play and not artificial home runs as in the Natural.

Uecker and Gammons ( playing Manager Lou Brown) are terrific.
"Just a bit outside" is now the classic comment for a really bad pitch.
