4-0 out of 5 stars A Fawcett triumph
The small screen treatment of author Ann Rule's best-seller is all the more gut-wrenching because this really happened, a self-absorbed mother whose horrific act of violence against her own children (all for a boyfriend who, it turned out, couldn't wait to unload her?) commanded overdue attention to the threat to children in their own homes. For anyone still unconvinced by "The Burning Bed" that Farrah Fawcett can act better than she can jiggle, they won't be with this one. Fawcett is superlative in getting across the pathological selfishness of Diane Downs and how her children paid for it. The performance was, for Fawcett, a richly earned Emmy nomination. Despite more than ample supporting acting by the likes of John Shea, et al, Fawcett carries this production and highlights it with an indelible emotional wallop. This is an important social piece, much as is "The Burning Bed" remains, and forces us to examine our childrens' safety in a new light. Read Rule's book for background to appreciate the production's faithfulness to its subject matter. Despite that wrenching subject matter, the film gives us some comfort in knowing that the justice system worked this time.

3-0 out of 5 stars a true story
This TVM directed by David Greene is based on the book by Anne Rule and the teleplay adapted by Joyce Eliason. The female contribution accounts for the stance taken on Diane Downs, an Oregon postal worker who in 1983 was accused of murdering her own children to free herself for a lover who "just don't wanna be a Daddy". The crime outrages the male DA's assistant and presecutor with it's seemingly Medea brutality, their suspicion of Diane raised, in spite of her claim of a "bushy haired stranger" being responsible for the shootings, based on her "weird" behaviour. This behaviour is said to include a lack of emotion, inopportune humour, and a taste for the Duran Duran song Hungry Like the Wolf. (Greene's attempt to make Diane the wolf via her car headlights as eyes is a bit much). The DA's office takes months to form their case against Downs, and in their frustration, resent Diane's use of the media to gain sympathy, though we hear someone comment that "the camera loves her", implying that she possesses an unnatural empathy. At one point the audience becomes the TV camera with Diane talking to us subjectively. Given the nature of the context, it's easy for Downs to be more sympathetic than the police who wish to do her harm, but this perceived unbalance in the light of their feeling about the crime isn't helped by Greene's casting of John Shea as the DA's assistant and prosecutor, who specialises in a wooden stare. Eliason's teleplay reduces Downs by having someone say "She doesn't love. She devours" and gives her a memory monologue that she inexplicably delivers to Shea where she confesses that she hates men. There is also a court opportunity for Shea to project all his bile, and a queasy plot point of Shea's interest in Diane's children, overstepping his professionalism and getting way too personally involved. Greene uses similar cutaways of a crowd outside the courtroom during the trial, and stages a court re-enactment of the shootings in a model car for the camera with projected crosscuts, that the jury is unable to see.
As Downs, Farrah Fawcett has some delicious moments. Although an actress whose effort is always obvious, she captures Diane's recklessness and beauty, as she walks down a hallway talking and passing Shea, and as the camera circles her when a psychiatrist gives an evaluation of her personality. If she says and does things that appear to deliberately make herself look bad in the eyes of others, she still retains tube empathy so that we don't want to see her be found guilty, perhaps because only seeing her doing the shooting through the eyes of the prosecutor, helps it remain unreal. The casting of Ryan O'Neal as her former lover allows her to be uninhibited with him, though funny because of his resistance. There is also a perversity in the casting since it represents them at a time when they were a real life couple, but his stock was falling as hers was rising.
This TVM originally ran at 186 mins which is the version I saw, but ironically the length works against the treatment. In spite of it being truthful to the length of time the real events took, the inbalance of empathy becomes even stronger, and while we wait and wait with the police for Down's surviving daughter to regain her speech so she can stand as a witness against her mother, Fawcett's achievements become Greene's own small sacrifices.

5-0 out of 5 stars As good as the book!
Movies based upon books are usually not much good, but "Small Sacrifices" is the exception to the rule. Farrah Fawcett delivers a stellar performance as Diane Downs, an Oregon mother who was convicted in mid 1984 for the May 1983 slaying of one of her children and the attempted murders of the other two, all because she was trying to win back the affections of her married lover, who had broken off their affair because he didn't want to be a daddy. Fawcett absolutely excels as Diane Downs because she brings to life Downs's coldness, self absorption, disregard for her children, and psychopathology in an extremely compelling and realistic fashion. John Shea is also commanding as the intense prosecutor, who, convinced of Downs's guilt from the very beginning, relentlessly seeks justice, and not because he feels he has only a legal obligation to do so. Joyce Eliason based her fabulous screenplay on Ann's Rule's bestselling book of the same name. This is an emotional movie, vey tough to watch, and will leave you drained at the end, simply because it is such a hard hitting, spellbinding story about the awful crime committed by a cold blooded woman who never should have been blessed with the gift of children.

4-0 out of 5 stars Blood For Love
Small Sacrifices, a novel-turned-television-movie, is based on an incredibly true story about a women who tries to kill her three children to keep her lover. My first reaction to this movie was a sick feeling in my stomach that any mother could do such a thing. What also struck me was how convincingly Farrah Fawcett portrayed the cold Diane Downs. I was pleasantly stunned at the intensity each character showed and found that there were no lags or boring lulls in the story line. The devastating story prompted me to read the book by Ann Rule, and I fell in love with the story all over again. I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to anyone who is as fascinated by true crime as I am.

5-0 out of 5 stars STUNNING PERFORMANCE!
Farrah Fawcett's interpretation of child killer Diane Downs stays with you forever. A multi-faceted banquet of film-making brilliance, this made-for-Tv adaptation of a real life event is haunting, seductive, and lacrimate. Chameleon-like Diane Downs is "Hungry Like The Wolf", and doesn't want any "kinks" in her social life. Her kids are the "kinks" that prevent her from pursuing a relationship with a clearly confused married man who up and moved hundreds of miles in a futile attempt to hide from the classique femme fatale. heartless maximus. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Be A Star And Buy This Movie
This dazzling comic fantasy stars popular Lindsay Lohan (The Parent Trap) and top fashion model Tyra Banks (Higher Learning) in a delightfully entertaining tale of a young girl's toy that turns out to be a truly living doll! Sad and lonely after the death of her mother, Casey (Lohan) would do anything to see her again. But when a series of mystic mishaps mistakenly brings her fashion doll "Eve" (Banks) to life instead, it changes Casey's world forever!

Heartwarming and lots of fun, the magical story of this happy accident captures a spirit your family will want to relive again and again!

5-0 out of 5 stars She's alive!
Casey Stewart (Lindsay Lohan, The Parent Trap) is having a tough teenage life. Her mother has recently passed away, and her father, Ben (Jere Burns) is always busy. He always tries to make it to her football games, but he always misses them. Casey feels that the answer to all her problems would be to bring her mother back to life.

Casey is given a birthday gift by Ben's co-worker, Drew (Anne Marie Loder), and the gift is an Eve doll which doesn't really interest Casey. When Casey tries to cast a spell to bring her mother back to life, she accidentaley brings back to life the Eve doll. Now, Eve (Tyra Banks, Halloween: Resurrection) is a human with the thoughts of a doll. Casey thinks this is terrible...but it gets even worse when she realizes that her dad has gotten a crush on the doll.

LIFE-SIZE is such an entertaining movie. It is a great movie for the entire family. Not only was there an excellent script, but the actors were wonderful--especially Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks. Each scene was full of humor, especially when Eve was a complete idiot. Despite the comedy of the movie, the end was very sad and could make anyone cry. I recommend this movie to anyone...even to people who hate dolls.

4-0 out of 5 stars SO-SO Movie
This movie is SO-SO. It has good but not great comedy and Tyra acts with Lindsay fairly. I am a boy and I could say proudly that this movie is ten million times better than the Cheetah Girls! If your sister likes this movie you are luckier than the people whose sister likes the Cheetah Girls (like me) I hate that movie with all my heart but this movie is a good fair movie and would give it 3 more stars than the Cheetah Girls whom deserve zero stars but there is no such thing on amazon.com

1-0 out of 5 stars This movie makes me puke
Don't listen to all these people!

I watched this movie because it had Lindsay Lohan, and I am a die-hard fan of Lindsay. She is so hot. But anyways...

This movie made me want to puke. The conclusions were unclear, the themes were conflicting, and the whole premise was really really stupid. Even in the end, the true problem of the little girl (not having her mother) had not been solved. Tyra Banks was an annoying skank who says such things as "I'm anatomically correct" to a man and then slaps him for propositioning her. The whole movie is fake feel-good-touchy-feely disney crap. I am a teen and I hate this movies guts. Don't believe peope who say that "teens will love it to." If you show this to your teen they will kill you and hate you forever. THerapy will not be able to solve the problems this movie creates.

3-0 out of 5 stars Interesting plot, but involves some weird things
The story is interesting, a doll that comes to life, but the way she was brought to life is a bit disturbing. I didn't like Casey's obsessions with magic. The chanting part was kind of strange. It made me feel uncomfortable. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars COMMENDABLE MOVIE
It's ironic that in this 1999 film. the Twin Towers remain standing after the devastating earthquake that tumbles the powerful city to its feet. A t.v. movie originally aired on NVC, AFTERSHOCK is directed well by Mikail Solomon and has a fine cast. The script is typical vignettes of several people and how they deal with the quake, but it is well written and performed, and adds the requisite human touch to the film. The overall acting is very good: Tom Selleck as the disgruntled fire chief who is having an ongoing political battle with Mayor Charles S. Dutton; Jennifer Garner as a ballet wannabe who meets up with a Russian cabby; Sharon Lawrence is very good as a mother whose carelessness rendered her little boy an invalid; Lisa Nicole Carson as an up and coming lawyer who gets an alleged murderer off the hook only to doubt his innocence; Cicely Tyson as the feisty mayor's mother who turns a street kid into a young man; and many actors whose names I can't recall who did a fine job in the storyline.
The earthquake sequence is devastating and very convincing. The movie is one of those "feel good" movies, that works.
Not your average made for TV fare.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Big Apple can have the big shake
If you are in any doubt as to how good this film is, then ask yourself the question "why are people discussing the scientific fact behind the storyline?" The special effects are more than convincing and you really do get the feeling that you could be watching an earthquake in progress. If anyone out there questions the possibility of earthquakes in Manhattan, then maybe you should refer to the following ...I live in the United Kingdom, where earthquakes can not happen, tornados never happen and the possibility of hurricanes is "laughable" as one 1987 forecaster said. In 1987, we had a hurricane, in 1998 we had tornadoes and this year, we suffered a minor earthquake. Never say never.

5-0 out of 5 stars Earthquakes will get you!!!
Okay so my title sounds like some kind of horror movie but who cares. As many people have writen in their previews that earthquakes don't happen in New York. Survey Says... ERRRRRRRRR!
Earthquakes can happen anywhere! Okay so manhatten hasn't had an earthquake for a while that doesn't mean that there's a switch to turn earthquakes on or off in New York. So Earthquakes happen in California more often. It's because they lie on a huge fault line. Earthquakes have happened in North Carolina and Missouri that doesn't mean New York is safe. And although September 11 was bad that doesn't mean that god will suddenly protect New York from Earthquakes because of Two Towers Collapsing. Earthquakes can hit New York and they will. Same with Canada last year Toronto had a 5.2 Earthquake! Anyway this movie is great and the special effects are A W E S O M E! (P.S i'm not some science geek). Defintaley worth 5 stars

4-0 out of 5 stars Twin Towers Rock Before 9-11
As an avid sci-fi/action genre maven who likes special effects, I was very surprised that a low budget movie did so well in cinematography. A well written and acted script, and very good special effects lends some credibility to having a powerful earthquake in a relatively low risk zone. It was eerie seeing the Trade Center again (as so many movies do), suffer damage other than terrorist driven. The main complaint about the DVD is that it is not widescreen. Being a TV movie, one would not expect widescreen, but the jewelcase description says "formatted to fit your TV", thus it leads one to believe that a widescreen exists. Still, I enjoyed the film and actually believe the special effects to be better than in "Earthquake".

4-0 out of 5 stars AFTERSHOCK - thoroughly enjoyed -- great surprise!
I enjoyed the VHS version and was greatly surprised - and pleasantly so - when I discovered the DVD had a more complete version of the movie -- I really liked the interaction between Tom Skerritt and Charles Dutton's characters -- Action was nicely paced and the characters were great to follow in their individual story lines - a great blending of characters -- loved the ending -- really need to see it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars An slick entertaining thriller.
Jack Carter (Sylvester Stallone) find out the news that his brother died of an car accident, based on Drunk Driving but Jack doesn't believe it. Once Jack meets his brother's wife (Miranda Richardson) & his daughter (Rachel Leigh Rock) & his old friend (Mickey Rourke) not everything's it's seems to be. Then he meets his brother friend (Micheal Caine) & his business parter (Alan Cumming), the situation is getting much worse than he has think.

DVD's has an sharp anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer & an strong Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. An good running commentary track by director:Stephen Kay. Deleted Scenes with the Original Ending. Cumming is the Stand-Out in the film, who has the best supporting role in this. An underrated thriller was an Box Office Flop but it has a good Stallone's Perfromance, his best since Cop Land. The Problem with the film, it`s comes to no surprise of the Identity of the Killer, who murder Carter`s Brother, that`s only main problem but another than that. It`s a solid, stylish film which is Based on a Novel by Ted Lewis, which it`s originally called:Jack`s Return Home. Screenplay by David McKenna (S.W.A.T., Blow, American History X). Super 35. Grade:B+.

3-0 out of 5 stars Distilled "Carter"
Having not seen the original for some time,I finally saw it in its entirety last week.Considering I've only just seen the remake tonight,it's fair to say it's going to be difficult to describe it as a film that stands on its own two feet.GET CARTER(1971) was about a mobster going back to Newcastle to find who murdered his brother. His search for the truth is ruthless. GET CARTER(2000) follows much the same story,Newcastle is now Seattle.I had my misgivings about Stallone playing Carter, but surprisingly he pulls it off.Not only does he look the part, this is one of his best roles. Supported by a sleazy Mickey Rourke,Miranda Richarson as his late brother's wife, and Rachael Leigh Cook who shines in this version,as her daughter Doreen. I wasn't expecting an action fest because the original gets by because of Micheal Caine's ruthless determination to get the truth. I do like this version but I have to deduct two stars for trying to sanitise Carter and adding a happy Hollywood ending. Also most of the film, the director is so obsessed with attention span,he "strobes" the picture regularly and unnecessarily. The final confrontation between Carter and Mickey Rourke is an anticlimax. The beach chase replaced by a brawll on a dancefloor. Not quite as memorable. Stallone seems to better with age and here he still packs a punch. And rather being a hinderance to a remake with a"you're the disease,I'm the cure" approach,he's much better in this film.

1-0 out of 5 stars GET CRACK!!!!
You'll need it to stay awake!

4-0 out of 5 stars good movie for another era.Haven't seen the original but..
If this movie was made about 20 years ago; I could see it being a hit. The trouble is that Stallone is choosing scripts that would have worked ...if done in the eighties.

We've all seen this plot before. He performance is good but his character is too one note. He wants revenge for the death of his brother. I didn't believe his hit man with a heart of gold act though. The action scenes were good. The action was very influenced by music videos. While not a total waste of time the movie needed more substance to work.

I could see Stallone in roles taken by Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro..I think that he needs a role that doesn't put him in the tough guy mode. "Cop Land" proved to me he could do Oscar material.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Underrated Stallone Classic!
Get Carter is film in which Stallone fans will enjoy thoroughly. Although it is different. The different camera angles and weird screen effects make the movie hard to follow the first time out.
The acting is pretty solid. Though Mickey Rourke seems to sort of slump on his part.
All in all, it's a great thriller movie that does have some nice action to it. Stallone delivers well here. I don't think many will be disappointed. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars MEMORABLE
Once you get past the implausibility of the plot (mainly that the drug culled from Cerebral spinal fluid could do what occurs in this movie), you have a nervewrackingly good thriller. Ray Liotta, one of our most underappreciated actors, stars as a medical examiner who was cleared of murdering his wife by a technicality. In investigating a horrifying killing spree at a pharmacy, Ray thinks the killer is the same one who murdered his wife. He goes out on a date and meets Linda Fiorentino (quite good in a laconic way), who has developed a serum which allows memory transfer between rats. But, it is dangerous, and has not been tried on humans. Liotta is so empassioned with finding his wife's murderer, he steals the drug and uses it, and it does work, but without damage to his heart. From heron, Liotta finds out that Kim Coates (as a seedy drug dealer) is the one who did the pharmacy killing, and in flashbacks, he sees Coates attacking his wife. But, is he the true culprit? Many surprising plot twists evolve, and it is a great film. Featured are Peter Coyote, as Liotta's friend, a police detective; "Sex and the City's" Kim Cattrall has a small role as Liotta's sister in law who has custody of his girls; David Paymer plays Liotta's friend and partner; and Christopher McDonald is a seedy, sleazy cop who thinks Liotta did kill the wife.
John Dahl directs with assuredness and the rainy Seattle setting is perfect.
An unknown gem.

5-0 out of 5 stars FIRST RATE THRILLER
John Dahl should smash the box-office one of these days because he truely deserves it. Unforgettable is his best work effort, a gripping suspensefiul script supported by an excellent cast and a director who knows how to keep you on the edge of your sofa. The Dolby Digital track is very dynamic and does justice to Christopher Young's remarkable score. This widescreen edition is not anamorphic, as marked on the back cover, but the image is sharp.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's finally on DVD!
I've been waiting for this movie to come out on DVD since I first got a DVD player about three years ago. Ray Liotta gives an excellent performance as a man falsely accused of murder trying to find his wife's killer. The plot is very interesting and original and presented so that it is believable and intense. Definitely a must-have.

4-0 out of 5 stars Is your best friend like her?
This is a well-written, simple but disturbing film about friendship. The movie offers nothing new on the basis of the plot of most "tv-movies" of the week but acting wise, this is an excellent piece. Jaclyn Smith, is as always, beautiful and refined as the "best friend." One of the appeal of the film and sustains your interest in watching it, is seeing angelic Smith playing the villain. She's so sweet, so beautiful, but so bad..she's really bad! But she's actually good in playing bad. If there's any actress who should play the role of Gene Tierney in a re-make of the classic "Leave Her To Heaven," Smith would be wonderful. For Jaclyn Smith fanatics, there's a nice first shots of her old Vogue cover shoots and some old photos. Go and rent it! You won't be sorry!

The devastating story prompted me to read the book by Ann Rule, and I fell in love with the story all over again. I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to anyone who is as fascinated by true crime as I am.

4-0 out of 5 stars Smoke Jumpers
I never understood why Howie Long doesn't make more like this. I think he did a fine job. Good perfomances by Scott Glen and William Forsythe as well. Forsythe has bad guys down to an art. If you liked action films like "Cliffhanger" with Sylvester Stallone, "Diehard" with Bruce Willis, "The Fugitive" with Harrison Ford, or "Shoot to Kill" with Tom Berenger you should like this. This is as good as many I have seen by these actors. While fighting a fire a group of convicts escape and Howie must stop them from kidnapping his friends. I would say give the critics the axe.

2-0 out of 5 stars Howie Long Needs to Stick to Football
FIRESTORM is Howie Long's first film where he is the Marquee star and, and so far the only one. Which may be a good thing. The buff, square-jawed ex-football player and FOX NFL commentator should DEFINITELY stick to bantering with Terry Bradshaw and the rest of his FOX co-workers on Sunday afternoons. Perhaps I was expecting too much of this movie--after all, it is an action flick--but Long only seems to wear one facial expression throughout the movie, and he reads his dialogue like he's watching cue cards off camera. The rest of the cast is little better. Scott Glenn appears in every shot to be thinking "How did I get roped into making this movie?" Suzy Amis' character is pure cliche as the developing romantic interest for Long's character. The only joy to watch is William Forsythe, who seems to be the only one who really seems to enjoy playing his role. He plays bad guys very well--You may remember him as Al Capone during the short-lived syndicated revival of "The Untouchables" TV show a few years ago (Or Maybe not). Of course, the forest fire special effects are spectacular, and they may be the only reason I give the movie two stars instead of one. There's one question that puzzles me: How did two bird's eggs survive intact in an unpadded, unsealed metal case through A) a motorcycle ride over a rough forest floor B) a parachute jump into a river and C) immersion in a forest lake?

4-0 out of 5 stars HEROIC HOWIE
Sports stars turned actors have never been serious threats at the Academy awards, and big Howie Long is certainly no exception. However, with his buff bod, icy blue eyes and a hint of malevolent humor, he acquits himself quite nicely in this blazing adventure. He plays the news fire chief of the Smoke Jumpers when buddy Scott Glenn is injured in a frightening opening rescue scene. The pyrotechnics in this movie are awesome and heat up the screen (ha ha). Suzy Amis is fun as the ornithologist who just happens to walk into the thick of things; William Forsythe is painfully effective as the cold-hearted killer who offs his prison escapee buddies so he can get all of his 37,000,000 dollars! There are some mind-blowing fire scenes and the firestorm itself is awesome.
A great kickbutt type of movie, and Howie's the man!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Howie Jumps Cons
I don't understand why Howie Long doesn't make more like this. I think he did a fine job. Good perfomances by Scott Glen and William Forsythe as well. Forsythe has being a bad guy down to an art. 5-0 out of 5 stars A Life Modification
"Firestorm" is one of those movies that can change a person's life. It changed mine. I have so much admiration for fire jumpers now since Howie Long battled those forest fires. Yes. He destroyed bad guys with a chainsaw, an ax and his bare hands. Almost eternal. Too bad Teri Hatcher didn't star in this movie to talk about Radio Shack and irk the honorable individual. Yes. I have been swayed by this cinematic event of the century to tell you about it. This event is charity to the human race. Sagacity! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars hawkeye from the inside looking out
I had a recurring role as a British Soldier (non speaking part) in Hawkeye and it was a great show to be on. It was filmed ENTIRELY on location in a purpose built fort in the Seymour watershed of Vancouver B.C. Linda C. was GREAT to work with and an elegant lady! All of the soldiers in the series were ex military or young militia guys and there was also a set historian to keep things in proper historical context. I am a bit older and had a "look" about me so I got to do lots of mean things like shooting a native woman in the back, hanging a young innocent guy and stuff like that! We were kept under "military discipline" from the moment we got on set in the morning till end of day. i.e. we had ranks as per military and we marched onto the set each morning to fife and drum, ran up the flag and gave it the old "God Save the King" business. Then we would march out and over to the holding area and await our scenes. Some of the guest directors were stunned and most pleased to see us marching up in the morning to the fort. As a result of this when it came to doing battle scenes we had a very good discipline on the set amid all the chaos that ensues in filming battles. It was a great relief for them to work with troops who had previous experience operating under fire! It was a blast but I have never bothered to do it again (act) as I am a writer (search amazon for a book by me) but it was an experience I will never forget. I bought a vhs copy of the episode THE SEIGE on amazon today.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hawkeye (pilot)
This was a wonderful, family oriented series and it is a shame that it was taken off the air . Lee Horsley is a very versitile,
and talented actor and gave the Hawkeye character warmth, moral integrity and strong, manly attributes.I highly recommend
this video.I hope that a syndicated network will bring this series back

5-0 out of 5 stars HAWKEYE - PILOT
As a big fan of Lynda Carter, Lee Horsley, Rodney Grant, and American History - this was the perfect video for me. It is beautifully acted and scripted with breathtaking scenary and a hauntingly beautiful opening theme. For those who appreciate period pieces, of which there are far too few, I highly recommend this entire series. It's a real shame that this quality show was taken off the air far too prematurely.

4-0 out of 5 stars HAWKEYE: WITH LYNDA CARTER
I enjoyed Hawkeye especially because of the beautiful Lynda Carter. Her acting abilities get better with each film and television show that she makes. This is one of my favourites because it is a real departure and has action, tragedy and drama. There are 2 or 3 videos to this series and I recommend them. I also enjoyed 'Hawkeye:Siege' which is the next installment. I highly recommend it for action fans, for Lynda Carter fans and for fans of period shows like "Dr Quinn". Quite a treat! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good film
This movie was good, even though it had half and half scenery, and you could tell that Margot Finley had no idea how to skate, and the plot wasn't that original. But it did, on the other hand have good acting. And the young lovers did have chemistry.

The story follows too teenagers, Ronnie (Joshua Jackson) and Julie (Margot Finley) as they fall in love, but are torn apart by their battling familys. This movie is witty and smart, though predictable in some points. But other then that it is a pretty good film.

5-0 out of 5 stars I loved this movie!!!!!
I love Joshua Jackson anyway, but he just fit his part. I also like Margot Finley, because she was his girlfriend in Mighty Ducks 3. So, it is kind of like a follow-up romance. I have never watched Romeo and Juliet, but I like this movie because it ends right! I give this movie a 10!!!!!! You have got to watch this movie!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great movie!
This movie was fantastic! The chemistry between Joshua and Teri is sizzling. "Ronnie and Julie" is one of my favorite movies.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spectacular movie
I can't imagine getting tired of this movie. The chemistry between Joshua Jackson (Ronnie) and Margot Finley (Julie) just leaps out at you! Their romance was so beautiful and pure, and I loved how they incorporated their skating careers into the scenes. The supporting cast was also excellent. I've always loved Romeo and Juliet, but this version has a happy ending! This is the ultimate movie!

5-0 out of 5 stars Ronnie and Julie
This movie is the best I really love it. JOSH JACKSON (my future husand) is the best. He is such a good actor and I love all his movies the Skulls is the best movie I have ever seen. I really want to buy this movie but it is so expencive. If anyone has it and wants to sell it to me cheaper than usual than you are welcom to do that. If you haven't seen it see it is soooooooooo good Josh Jackson makes an exellent preformance that is hard to top by anyone. If someone else played his part than this movie would stink with a capital S. If you have the money buy this movie actually buy two and send the other one to me its a classic. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I agree...
Yeah, I agree with mostly everyone else in saying that Beth Broderick kicked serious butt in this movie, but Delta Burke was a bit I don't know, just not fit for her part I guess. The plot was cool, but predictable. Somewhat predictable any ways. The only reason I liked this movie so much is because I write stories like that a lot. (Having to do with some one doing something that causes that second person to seek havoc apon them) So yeah.

1-0 out of 5 stars B Movie - Could have been Better
The story of a woman desperate to have a baby and getting an emergency hysterectomy without her consent instead was extremely compelling. The big problem with this movie is that they turned a very good idea into a pretty cheesy horror/murder flick that was so unrealistic, it bordered on comedy. I had been looking forward to an intelligent portrayal of how a person might react to such a tragic situation. Turning the victim psycho was a dissappointing cop out that I could have tolerated had the portrayal been more realistic and better acted.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good film
This is a good film, but mostely because Beth Broderick is great in her role as Dr. Eva Warden. The other actors and actresses does a good job too, but Broderick shines a little more. The story is pretty typical and give no suprises and the writing and directing are stable but not anything near oustanding.

4-0 out of 5 stars It was a really good movie
I really enjoyed the movie. The actors were exellent and the subject was really intresting. Beth Broderick played her role very good. It was just a great movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Beth Broderick is so cool.

I just got my DVD of Devil Winds and it is awesome. Joe Lando(Dr. Quinn, Higher Ground) is still a hottie. The storyline is very plausible and the CGIs look like a real tornado was happeining. 4-0 out of 5 stars A good conclusion of the Hulk's adventures
This movie is more serious than the 2 first (incredible Hulk returns; Trial of the Incredible Hulk) It retrieves all the series atmosphere we used to know in the late '70'S and early '80'S: the Drama. In this final(? ) adventure David Banner tries to find a cure of his transformations in Hulk and enlists the help of a old collegue to help him, but a group of spies is interrested about the researchs of Banner's collegue. There is going to be repercussions in David,s cure but which one ? After this movie, there was supposed to be a sequel called"the rebirth of the Incredible Hulk" but unfortunately, Bill Bixby died and the project was stopped. Then, the Tv-Hulk his dead for good. There is another project for a Big screen movie where the Hulk will be made by computer. this movies will follow the comics book adventures instead of the TV-adventures.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why I like "Death of the Incredible Hulk"
I liked this video very much. It was an excellent final installment to the "Incredible Hulk" series starring the late Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. Although, the title gives away the ending, the movie has interesting twists and a very good storyline. Great for any action and comic book fan. END

4-0 out of 5 stars A Good Ending In Retrospect
At the time this movie aired, I was upset at the way it ended and was hoping for more movies but now looking back, it was a great ending. The only thing missing here is no Jack McGee! I always felt that Jack Colvin should've been in this one but otherwise, it was a great ending. While I would've loved to see "Rebirth", it may have been best that it was never made since Bill Bixby is no longer with us (RIP). Get it if you are a Hulk fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars It was well done!
I was a big fan of the Incredible Hulk TV series as a kid more than 20 years ago. When 'The Death of' came out, I was delighted to watch it on video. The plot is quite excellent and Bill Bixby, as always, was able to play out the gloomy mood of the story and of David Banner. The ending of the movie is truly touching. Honestly, David Banner's last words made me cry. It could not have been a better ending to the movie. And I agree with one of the movie reviewers that, it was probably better that 'The Rebirth of' was never made and the ending to the Hulk story was left where it was at the end of 'The Death of'. It is an excellent DVD for anyone's Hulk DVD and related collection. The only down side to the DVD is the quality of the picture. At times, 'old spots' appear on the picture but this minor imperfection does not taint the quality of the movie as a whole.

5-0 out of 5 stars An ending.
Well, this is it. The final epsiode to one of the most famus prime time TV series and the best epsiode(Movie) sence the first.
These was not supose to be the end. They were writting a script for something called the rebrirth of the increadble hulk. Sadly,
Bill Bixby died before that could happen. The cartoon and movie imataters never lived up to this. It's about David Banner(Bill Bixby) still looking for a cure and final finding one while visting his old friend. A great final epsiode. Well worth it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Warm
I found this film engaging and uplifting. One of those films that makes you think about the essential things in life in a healthy and inspiring way.

4-0 out of 5 stars From A Bowie Fan Perspective......
If you are seeing this film for ANY other reason than David Bowie, you may want to run and not just walk away, NOW. However, Bowie's performance lights up this film, and considering all of the less than well-chosen works of the cinema under his belt, this film is sweet and very under-rated....in a sentimental kind-of way. However, this film has a definate message, one that has resounded in other Bowie works (music and film), as well as from Bowie himself. Everyone makes a difference - it's what you do in life that counts, not how long you live. Take if from me, this film isn't as bad as people would want you to beleive!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Secret we could All Learn from.
Mr. Rice's Secret is a wonderful opportuitity to explore the
imporantance each of us represents in Life. No matter how long
or short your life is; it's what you do while your here that
counts. How you treat others and what you believe in. I liked
the moral this story left me with. Be true to yourself and each
other.Rejoice in every moment you have been given.

2-0 out of 5 stars Bowie is the only real star here, has good message for kids.
So your search for anything Bowie has finally led you here. The story seems like a resurrected after school special with silly adventures and dialogue that just doesn't exist for kids. But then David (Mr. Rice) starts speaking... and things don't seem so bad. Uh, then again. A 400 year old man you would think wouldn't require kids to let's say, exhume a corpse! There is a message to the movie, very predictable, but this movie doesn't get past it's simpleton plot. And for you diehard Bowie fans, you'll love how he and his voice take over. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars This is for Jill Teed fans
This is the first episode of this series that I had ever seen. The opening scene is a contest of skill in horsemanship, marksmanship and something else that leads to the underlying theme of this episode. I kept wondering as I watched the openning action montage, who played the lead, Hawkeye, AKA Nathaniel Bumpo of the "Leatherstockings" series of books dating back to the days of Melville and Moby Dick (or some time after). I suddenly realized that it was Lee Horsley, who I enjoyed watching in his role as Ethan Allen Cord in the western series, "Paradise." I was hooked. This episode has some of the most dynamic action scenes that this series produced and some of the most memorable. I had not seen Lee Horsley in a role like this since "The Sword and the Sorcerer."

Interestingly, this is the only episode of the series without Lynda Carter in her staring role as the heroine, Elizabeth Shields. What keeps bringing me back to viewing this episode is Jill Teeds, who plays a character so much like the Shields character, yet is different in manner and delivery. This woman plays the strong lead effectively and is quite fascinating. In one sequence she is disgusted with men and in need of help -- she rolls her eyes, tosses her head, snaps her neck to back and to the side -- leading her to see Rodney A. Grant as Hawkeye's friend and native brother, Chingachgook in a classice and memorable "noble savage" stance. Another example of the dramatic direction in this episode.

Jill Teed plays a lot of supporting roles and I hope that she will continue to act and appear in TV and movie productions (most recent is "Mission to Mar"). She is one of the many reasons to see this episode. ...

4-0 out of 5 stars effectively moody

I don't think many will be disappointed. ... Read more
