excellent movie! ... i also had first seen "naked obsession" on cable many years ago and for some reason it stuck with me. i have tried to locate it for the past five years, only to fall on disappontment. it was out of print! thankfully Amazon.com came to the rescue... And if your a fan of William Katt, (Greatest American Hero, The House), it's a side of him you don't see very often.

5-0 out of 5 stars great all-around movie!
I saw this movie many years ago, and never forgot it. When I saw it on cable, it was called sunset strip. It is much better than most movies of this type. I have been looking for it under that name for many years. I just stumbled on it while looking for the actress in perfect fit (Maria Ford). Not just another sexplotation b-movie. Movie has a good story to tell, good acting (the actor that played Sam Silver was great). Never gets boring, just waiting for the DVD

5-0 out of 5 stars lots of fun for fans
If your taste has been ruined by Jurassic Park, skip this one. But if you're a fan of good old-fashioned low-budget sci-fi horror quickies, where the human characters are more important than Industrial Light & Magic's latest visual tricks -- and especially if you're a fan of the earlier Tremors movies -- then snap this one up!

It's a sequel: there's no getting around that. Our old friends (those who survived the first two movies, anyway) are back -- but *different*. The monsters are back -- but *different*. Even the setting from the first movie is back -- but *different*. Tremors 3 managed to keep me entertained and surprised right up to the ending credits, and that is not easily done. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable "popcorn" movie, a fitting finale to the series, and I highly recommend it.

P.S. One minor quibble: I think most of the special effects shots would have been better if they'd skipped the CGI and gone back to the puppetry and miniatures of the original. The way Hollywood works, though, I suppose finding an FX shop that knows how to do puppets is like finding a mechanic who knows how to tune a carburetor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the wait :))
Well...I`d been waiting for this one for a long time, and I wasn`t disappointed. The film is set 11 years after the initial graboid attacks in the first film, and returns to where it all started: Perfection. Burt Gummer is back, joined by many of the cast from the original movie, including Mindy and her mother, Melvin, and Miguel. They are joined by two new faces...Jack (who runs a seedy `Graboid safari` complete with simulation attacks), and Jodi Chang who runs the store. (A relative of Walter Chang from the first movie).
The plot is straight forward. Burt returns from a Shrieker exterminating mission in Argentina, to his home valley of Perfection. When a simulation Graboid attack turns out to be the real thing, Burt steps up to do what he does best! Take them out!

You have a lot of monster for your money in this movie. Graboids, Shriekers, and yes...a whole new Graboid evolution, which all tie neatly together, and more is explained about the Graboids. Some are the classic model stuff, and some are some CGI. I won`t ruin the surprise of the new evoltion, but like me, you can probably figure it out from the trailer ;)

There are some great set pieces and action scenes in this movie, and a few shocks besides...Including one fairly early on involving one of the main characters..Which turns out to be one of the comedy highlights of the movie. The dialogue is as snappy as ever, and the movie is as strong as any in the franchise...I wasn`t disappointed for a minute, bar one moment, which I`d semi-expected, but was still sad to see.

This movie doesn`t let up for a moment...Comedy, action, and some great `in-stuff` for the diehard fans of the franchise, including information about some of the previous fave characters; and indeed, the legacy of one of the past characters, actually helps our usual suspects out in the last reel. Well paced, directed, and acted... I`d recommend it in a heartbeat. I`m certainly not ashamed to have it sitting in my collection.

Michael Gross is fantastic (as always), as Burt...This has to be one of the greatest ever characters...He is the star of this movie, and shines even brighter now he has the full attention of the spotlight. What this character doesn`t go through in this movie! :))

The DVD includes some great behind the scenes stuff, and trailers for all three Tremors films. I only wish the behind the scenes stuff was longer.

A must buy...If you loved the first two movies, then hopefully this one won`t let you down. I just hope the creators don`t make us wait another five years for the next one!

And BTW...Melvin is still a little s**t ;))

4-0 out of 5 stars A fun sequel
I really wasn't expecting much from a third in the series even tho Tremors 2 added so much more imagination. So I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be so much fun.

It begins with a rather cool opening scene in which Burt Gummer (still in Mexico) takes out zillions of Shriekers with a massive machine-gun tank thing. After returning home to Perfection Burt must deal with new graboids, new shriekers and another metamorphosis...The shriekers turn into Ass-Blasters, flying creatures with rocket propelled farts. As the town (and the returning, surviving cast from the first film) is besieged by all forms of these animals, Burt and his pals must figure out increasing desperate ways to destroy them.

There's loads of energy and self-referential humor and the locations have a more dark/sophisticated look to them than in the previous 2 films. A light-hearted tone is still in check tho. There's even one teriffic scene in which Burt is swallowed by a Graboid and taken halfway across the desert. I paniced, I honestly thot we'd lost him. Turns out he's okay in the end.

Fred Ward is definitely missed tho his abscence is explained (Earl and Grady went to make a Graboid amusement park) but Michael Gross is simply irreplaceable as the eccentric and paranoid Burt Gummer. And Ariana Richards is so much more cuter now that she's grown up.

Tremors 3 is the best presented Tremors movie on DVD. The 1.85:1 anamorphic picture looks great and the Dolby 5.1 is reasonably lively with lots of bass during the tunnelling scenes. A fair amount of extras come along too.

3-0 out of 5 stars Much better than the second one
I guess the first 'Tremors' will always be the best if only for bringing the graboids to our lives for the first time. Well, as a movie it's also the best.
But this 'Tremors 3' is a close second. The comedy works much better than in the second one, and the dialogue scenes felt better too (I think brent madock is a better director than his pal).
The Michael Gross character is also a lot more effective as protagonist than as humorous relief, as was treated in the second one. I really think it was a mistake to bring Fred Ward back in that one, there was nothing new for his character to do and the chemistry with Christopher Gartin was not as good as with Kevin Bacon. I like the new characters in 'Tremors 3'. Shawn Christian is good (and hot) and Susan Chuang is a nice match.
In spite of being produced more recently the CGI looks worse than in the second one, but that didn't trouble me.
This is the first dvd in the series with an anamorphic transfer.

1-0 out of 5 stars totally sucks!!!
I would rather stick hot french fries in my eyes than watch this horrible movie. The first 2 were really good but I am letting my dog use the third movie as a chew toy!!! ... Read more

The glowering brutality that is aikido headbanger Steven Seagal's substitute for a star persona at least gives us a rancid taste of authenticity in this cookie-cutter action picture. This glum lug seems to really enjoy hurting people; he snaps limbs and shatters noses with visible relish. Pitted against a crew of Jamaican gangsters who invade his (white ethnic) Chicago neighborhood and threaten his family, retired DEA agent John Hatcher sets out to solve the case with robotic efficiency, kicking butt in just about every scene. Not quite as pudgy in this 1990 outing as he became a few films later, Seagal looks like the genuine, lethal article in the fight sequences, but like a hopeless amateur when he tries to act his way out of the waterlogged-paper-bag of a script. So what else is new? The one bright spot here is Basil Wallace, a mostly unsung actor who throws himself into the showy role of the Rasta gang-boss Screwface, a garishly scarred psycho with piercing ice-blue eyes. --David Chute ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Screwface is Dead!
You take a Jamaican druglord named Screwface and you take the funniest, laziest action star named Steven Seagal and you have ingredients to real comedy. Seagal shoots a woman in a rotten country and is ashamed to be a police officer. Hey, he shouldn't feel bad after she killed his partner. Well, Seagal goes back to America and looks for his family and friends. In town, a druglord takes advantage of children and sells them drugs. Oh, that doesn't fly with this genius. Seagal takes matters into his own hands when his niece is shot. Major bone snappage! The fight in the jewelry store is hilarious and Seagal fights Screwface in Jamaica! Eye gouges and decapitation. Distasteful! But, wait, there's another Screwface in Los Angeles, they're twins. What a plot twist. "Screwface is dead, so you can get the freak out of town!" Seagal gives this brother more pain with a back snap, gouge, and thrown down an elevator shaft. It was the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. Pure comedy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Seagal at his best
Marked for Death is by far Steven Seagals best film. John Hatcher(seagal) has just retired from the Drug Enforcement Agency after his partner dies on a case. When a Jamaican Drug Posse marks seagals family for death, seagal realizes that he needs to pay them back, with interest. Seagal, teamed up with a jamaican cop and an old friend of his, to teach the posse that there's just some families that you don't mess with. If you don't like car chases, snapped arms and heads being chopped off, this movie isn't for you. Its's to bad they don't make action movies this great anymore.

2-0 out of 5 stars NOT REALLY ALL THAT GOOD
A FORMER COP [STEVEN SEAGAL] GOES AFTER SOME LOCAL JAMAICAN DRUG DEALERS. THIS WAS AN UTTERLY DISSAPOINTING FILM, BEING THAT ''ABOVE THE LAW'' WAS SO GOOD. HAS THE USUAL SHOOTOUTS AND THE USUAL CAR CHASES THAT ONE WOULD EXPECT TO FIND IN A STEVEN SEAGAL MOVIE. DIEHARD SEAGAL FANS [WHICH IS WHAT I AM, TO A CERTAIN EXTENT] MIGHT LIKE IT. OTHERS SHOULDN'T EVEN WASTE THEIR TIME.

5-0 out of 5 stars The last of his (non-Under Siege) good ones
As someone else said (probably on this website), S Seagal probably became a parody of himself faster than any other action hero of our time. Other than the "Under Siege" pairing, Marked for Death was, to my mind the last really great movie he did.

It is Seagal at his brutal best. As the Editorial Review says, he plays a disillusioned former DEA agent, who comes back home), to find his neighborhood being ravaged by a group of Jamaicans and their drug trade. Seagal cleans it up the situation as only he could: blasting a handful of the bad guys away with pistol and shotgun, and beating the rest savagely.

This movie, like his premier "Above the Law", has some of his technically most proficient Aikido, particularly after he crashes his car into a department store and then takes on about four adversaries in a randori, or challenge of one defender against multiple attackers.

Of course, it would not be some shattering news to reveal here that in the end, Seagal prevails over the leader of this drug posse, nicknamed Screwface (the name comes from a Bob Marley song). They fight with swords, bottles, and ultimately hands. But the climactic fight is equally brutal as it is final.

It was not nominated in the "Best Movie" category. It is not particularly thought provoking. But what it is is an action movie. And as that, it is worth the price of admission.

5-0 out of 5 stars You want arms being snapped in two? Right here.
This was Seagal's third film, I believe, and he was really in his 'prime'. This flick has the kind of bone-crunching action you demand from the genre.

Seagal plays a cop taking on some scary Jamaican drug lords. They're into voodoo or something, Seagal gets his Mustang wrecked, and before the end, a lot of arms and wrists are going to be snapped like so many twigs.

What has happened to Seagal? In this movie his fight scenes are pretty good. They had perfected the Seagal film formula by this point and would follow it with the equally brutal Out for Justice. This was before the filmmakers had to extensively doctor the fight scenes with camera tricks like fast motion and telephoto lenses in order to disguise the fact that Seagal had become old, fat, and completely out of shape.

Seagal's last few films have gone straight to DVD and they are absolutely appalling, yes, even for a Seagal film. Marked for Death is a actually good for what it is. Compare it to something like Ticker or Out for a Kill and see how the mighty have fallen. Seagal's IHOP excesses have destroyed him. Watch Marked for Death to see him in all of his bullying, macho glory. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Better Than Expected
This movie is a virtual scene for scene remake of a 1985 movie called "Streetwalkin'." And it has some of the same actors too. I liked this version better and Leslie Bega, who plays Micki, is really hot! However, I am wondering why they changed the name of this movie. It used to be called "Angel In Red" and I liked that title better. "Uncaged" is too generic and vague.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spellbinding tale of dangerous jealousy

3-0 out of 5 stars T J Roberts the REAL Karate Kid
It is painfully true that the script for Tiger Heart is horrible. In fact, it feels like there was no script and the movie was just thrown together. Having said that, you have to admire the amazing karate of T.J. Roberts. He had to be the best teen martial artist I remember. He had unbelievable moves. If he had been cast in the lead role in Karate Kid, the movie would have been more believable and an even bigger success. So if you're looking for Hamlet, skip this flick. If you want to see the little scrawney teen kick the cool guys butts, you'll love Tiger Heart

3-0 out of 5 stars Gets medicore kicks.
O.K. action, O.K entertainment. This T.J. Roberts flick has some good karate moves that you can admire for the whole hour-and-a-half.

1-0 out of 5 stars TJ Roberts tops his previous all-time worst!
This just might be simultaniously the worst and most hilarious movie of all time. The "jokes" could have been written by Bob Sagat, and if the script was written by a 4th grade class, it would be yet another testament to the poor quality of education in our country. One interesting note though, is that Roberts' "co-star", (thankfully I don't know his name) is almost more annoying than Roberts himself! I've seen this movie around 5 or 6 times on daytime HBO, and it gets funnier every time. But I warn you, watch it only with a friend, because without one to help you through, the possibility of suicide becomes all too real. END ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one of the most inventive movies, I have ever seen..
Terminal Virus, is a great movie to sit down and watch. It has many scenes of explicit sex, though. Nudity and language is oh-so-plentiful! Its about a virus that is contagieous from men and woman. Men can kill woman by sleeping with them, and vice versa. But James Brolin a scientist comes up with an antidote, and the question the movie is based around is "WHO WILL TEST IT?" Its so fun to watch men trying to dominate woman, and woman trying to dominate men. MINT! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars crowd pleasing east meets west martial arts extravaganza
Gary Daniels is not my favorite action hero, but in this film he does a very commendable job as a cop out to avenge his partner's death. It seems the yakuza and a local L.A. gang are engaged in warfare when the Yakuza send a specialist to eliminate their problems in L.A. unfotunately a mistaken identity leads Daniel's to believe that the hitman rubbed out his friend when in fact the hitman is a consumate professional who only in his own words eliminates the target and not innocents. The action is fast and furious and there is a pretty good car chase scene to keep us entertained as a corruptpolice captain also adds to the confusion betweeen the gangs as an informant for the local gang. With a few plot twists about a Japenese girl whom engages the Yakuza hitman to avenge her sisters death from a drug overdose the storyline has a nice even flow to it that makes this movie good popcorn material on a rainy day. Not a bad flick for Daniel's who actually shows here that he has a personality with a little help on character development that he gets here

5-0 out of 5 stars SEIKO is the best actress.
SEIKO is a Japanese top star.
She has even a singer.
But, the best work is being done even if it is made an actress.
Such she is only out, and I think that it is the best work.
And, neither DVD nor video is on market in Japan to this work with being disappointing.
It is very envious of being on market in America.

2-0 out of 5 stars Generic and uninspired
One of the more generic martial arts films released as of late, Fatal Blade is an uninspired and droll film that features Gary Daniels as another cliche renegade cop that plays outside the rules. Contrary to the movie's box art, Mr. Daniels hardly wields a katana in this flick, and the few action scenes which could have been somewhat gratifying are played in fast-forwards, making them appear cheesy and goofy, instead of exciting. If you're a fan of Gary Daniels (all three of you), check out some of his better performances, such as Fist of the North Star and stay away from this turkey. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars CAIN PROVES ABLE
Sure, FIRETRAP is loaded with cliches and improbably stupid people (such as the janitor who fights the fire with a broom and opens the hazardous materials door), but the movie with its CGI created fire, is an entertaining and engrossing "disaster" flick. Dean Cain who will probably always look like an overgrown boy does his role well. The biggest kudo goes to the screenwriter who decided to make a stereotypical character a little more human and realistic: James Storm's role as the owner of the company is not your typical head honcho. He helps rescue people on more than one occasion; he is a man who acts and is not afraid to get down and dirty; and he has a fierce and commendable loyalty to his company. Storm (who once played Gerard Stiles on Dark Shadows) gives it his best and carries a large portion of the movie's heroics. His lover (Lori Petty)also goes against type in that she is not the hot little tamale his secretary Traci (with an I) is. Mel Harris (much better here than in the more recent Hangman's Curse) plays his wife who hands him his divorce papers at a special emergency meeting of the company. Her fluctuation between good and bad works well and Harris carries it off. Perennial bad guy Richard Tyson is flaccid and ineffectual in the early part of the film, but manages to become a vital force in the last third of the movie. Vanessa Angel (Camouflage, Sabertooth) once again gets a role another actress could have done much better. She must really know someone in the industry!
All in all, FIRETRAP is an enteraining Towering Inferno for the digital age.

1-0 out of 5 stars This passes for entertainment in the 21st century?
I am in awe of how anyone could consider this film to be decent...much less great! Do the majority of people even have basic standards for a film they watch? I just don't know anymore.

This "commercial cinematic product" doesn't really deserve the respect of being called a film. To call Dean Cain talented is a gross injustice to anyone who actually has talent. I have had a lot of respect for Lori Petty but most of that has gone right down the tubes. At least her role was extremely small. Maybe she had a bill that desperately needed to get paid.

The ignorance I saw while viewing "Firetrap" was amazing. Let me start out by getting this off my chest: if you can't show fire realistically then don't show it at all. Okay?!! It's an embarrassment to all involved when you show lame effects that don't even come close to simulating an actual burning building.

Some interesting tidbits: 1. A janitor opens the door to a large storage closet and finds the entire room engulfed in flames. What does he do? He tries to put out the fire with his broom! 2. The same janitor (who knows the building is on fire) later comes across a door marked "HAZARDOUS MATERIALS". His brilliant mind tells him that it would be a great idea to open said door. Big mistake! 3. A woman is giving a fantastically generous donation of $100,000 to a greyhound rescue fund but...she's wearing a fur coat to the charity event they're holding! (Wouldn't people who care about animals kinda frown on that sort of thing?) 4. Several of the people in the movie are forced into a vault of some sort with massive steel walls that even an electromagnetic pulse(!!) couldn't penetrate. Yet they have a spacious air vent leading right into the back of the thing that anyone could crawl through. That sure seems like a lapse in security.

I could go on and on but I have grown tiresome thinking about this lame movie. Our "hero" whom we are supposed to be cheering for is a career criminal who early on tries to kill some police officers. What a swell guy! If the general public wants to waste their minds away on this drivel then more power to them. I just wish I could have it erased from my memory. 1/10

4-0 out of 5 stars I liked it
Not as bad as the other reviewer said. It was a fun well-done lo- budget movie. I laughed a lot (WITH the people not AT the people) (the guy who played J.Peterman on Seinfeld was hilarious) and was entertained. what more do you want?

2-0 out of 5 stars It's not the worst rental
Dean Cain, the one time Super-Man, plays Max Hooper the super-thief. He can break into any company and steal any thing for the right price. Unfortunately his latest heist ends him up in a high-rise in which someone else has set a fire to hide their own attempts to steal the product. Now the thief finds himself having to be the hero rescuing everyone in the building. Unfortunately the other thief is still in the building and the F.B.I. & C.I.A. are outside waiting for Max.

The movie is barely passable. Dean Cain is a fun actor and has done much better with more improved material but here he is saddled with a weak script and pretty poor direction.

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent action movie that is worth the rental!
This direct-to-video release stars Dean Cain as Max Hooper, a professional jewel thief. He agrees to do one last heist for an unknown source. However, things don't go as planned when a fire starts in the building that Max is working in. He now has to decide whether to keep working and retrieve the data information he was originally hired to get, or to help rescue the people trapped inside the building as the fire spreads. Dean Cain does a decent job playing his character, a man with a major moral dilemma. The visual effects are OK, but I think it's the good performances by the actors that help make this movie stand out from other direct-to-video titles. I definitely recommend this title for the next time you are looking for a decent movie rental. ... Read more

Talk about conspiracy theories. This takes the theme of "Macon Country Jail" to the BiG City level. Arrested, tried, sentenced, and shipped off to prison. There they are "'GRAPHICALLY'" Strip-searched, mistreated, and coerced into prostitution for the profit of the elaborate C0N.

If a woman happens to figure out it's a con, they disappear - - painfully and permanently as we are shown.

So, here you have another "women in prison" movie with some new twists and plenty of the tried and true elements like nudity, humiliation, and catfights.

If that is your brand of entertainment, then this flick delivers.

If you're a fan of Gary Daniels (all three of you), check out some of his better performances, such as Fist of the North Star and stay away from this turkey. ... Read more

END ... Read more

excellent movie! ... i also had first seen "naked obsession" on cable many years ago and for some reason it stuck with me. i have tried to locate it for the past five years, only to fall on disappontment. it was out of print! thankfully Amazon.com came to the rescue...
