Madness?
This is based on a story by Edgar Allen Poe. I have not read the story. I am familiar with other Poe tales and this has the moody, dark qualities of Poe. Angela Jones is threatening as Morella. The story is photographed well but they do cover a long period of time and the details are hard to follow. Then the story unfolds from flashbacks and journal entries about the cloning experiments. A sexy B-thriller
Soleil Moon Frye (who's famous for both her young age "Punky Brewster" role and the breast reduction surgery when she grows up), stars in this movie as government agent Kyle Rivers who while trying to nail the mysterious Lana Hawking (played by Sean Young) got trapped in a devious plot instead. All in all, the story line doesn't have much to deliver, but the girls are beautiful, the cinematography is okay, and it's always fun to see a petite cutie Soleil Moon Frye (5'01) face-to-face with a slender and sexy Sean Young (5'10). So if you're settled to spend some popcorn time with a B-thriller, there's nothing to complain about, except that the DVD only offers chapter selections and a theatrical trailer, no language options or special features as advertised.

Excellent! Job well done
I enjoyed this video so much that I had to do a search for ever Happpily Ever After video ever done. I don't know why I am just learning about them - oh! yeah, I have a three year old daughter. The 'The Pied Piper' teaches that greed has a payday.

These videos need to be on TV entertaining children. I just happened on 'The Pied Piper' in the library and from that point on I have been hooked. I am finding that a handful of these are out of stock. I am going to own them all - it is just a matter of time. Yes! I have a three year old, but I want these videos for myself. She can look at them too.

Our favorite!
We own several of the videos in the series. This one is watched the most. It is delightfully musically and quite funny. Wesley Snipes does a nice job.

Wildly Available (see the unrated version if you can)
Caught this title at a film festival. Very under-rated film I thought it a mini classic. Well made and thought provoking. Should be seen.

An unsually well done sexually explicit movie
Even the love-making scenes in this movie are nuanced and very real, as between men and women who have complex feelings and yearnings and find it shocking when they are able to give expression to them. The story is strange and at times morally disturbing because there is betrayal but mainly from genuine bafflement with one's responses to the world. I would buy this except for its very high price.

If my title, while true, attracted you to this rotten film, turn off the TV, go outside, and play. Kaczmarek really slums here as a suffering wife whose husband gets involved in a hot little blonde number who is into S&M. The blonde, played by Sommerfield, is too pretty to have the humiliation heaped on her here in the name of sexual obsession. I really wish actors and actresses would stop making junk like this and work on their craft. There is no redeeming qualities here except for some good performances amid the dulling sex and nudity. I think "Wildly Available" tries to pass itself off as an independent film when, in fact, it is just desperate and sad.

Great film
I saw the film and i was deeply attracted by It.The detailed motion and it's close to life made me like it immediately.I don't know how to express my feeling well, but i guess every person when saw it will think it worth their time to thinking and have good feeling.

Makes you think
An software encrytption company is being investigated by a shadowy government anti-terrorist agency over it's acquisition of an age-old secret "code" that unlocks the secret's of humanity's future which is encoded into the Hebrew bible. The acting is excellent, with Jim Fitzpatrick doing a great job as the head of the company battling the ruthless government agency. The pacing is good, and look of the film is enhanced by the backdrop of Florida and Bahamian locales.

Timely and well done
This story really makes you think. It involves a shadowy government anti-terrorist department with unlimited powers investigating a private company in the encryption business. It points out the dangers of too much government power in this area. It is well-acted by David Warner, and the locales (Florida and Bahamas) provide a lush backdrop. ... Read more

"Lou Rawls great... sound balance average"
Anyone who loves Lou Rawls - well it's all here. I bought this DVD from amazon from Australia as a real Lou Rawls fan having owned some of his top recordings for years. I am a great fan of his "VOICE" but I sadly feel his voice is not forward enough in the sound balance. The back up group are all there in detail but Lou's voice gets drowned at times and seems to have been recorded from a remote mike... However still a good atmosphere etc and a close glimpse of the man..

A Very Smooth Performance...
Now I know why Lou Rawls was once the highest paid black performers of all time and was so in demand .Check out his voice it is so true to his recodings,faultless.How many of todays performers sound this good Live.You really don't want this Dvd to end there is a lot more he could have performed and I hope this will not be his last show on DVD. His rendition of Wonderful World alone is worth the price of the disk. Lou is assisted by some great musicians and a Big Band and is quite jazzy in parts. easily, one of the best performances,best films,don't resist
it's been a long time, since i've bothered to write a review, seems these days, movies are all so, normal, nothing unique about them, it's sad really, this film, is unique, I relate this film to scarface, as well as blowing me away, ving rhames, makes you believe he is the great don himself, he took on the mob, and he lived, and he killed a man, and beat it, then he killed another, and he got misdeamanor, the man is a icon, one of the greatest showboats, to have ever lived, he's also very intelligent, and it's true, he shouldn't have got such a bad rep, but baby, that sells, violence, sex, crime, it all sells,the media, you know, this film is a 100 stars, if you don't see this, then I pity you, if you say this movie is ..., like reviewer number one, then your an ..., this film is brilliant, a masterpiece, this film is also almost out of print, obviously, like divinci, a true artist, isn't respected till he is gone, wan't a real world example? look at tupac shakur, when don is gone, no one will ever be like him again, so relish, his kinglyness, and buy this video, before it is, to late.

A Very Crap Film
Oh my God!!! Do not waste your time watching this awful movie with which has an even more awful cast...I think that one star is really pushing it as the film was so bad that I switched it off less than half way through. I am a great boxing fan and would normally love to watch any movie, BUT, I draw the line when the movie is so bad that you actually wish that you hadn't wasted your time watching it and would rather go to the denstist and have all your teeth removed with the use of acid (and that is without painkillers)... An awful movie that is not even worth a star - I just wish that it could be given a minus number it is honestly that bad!!!

I wish I could give this movie 10 stars.
I have never seen a movie where the main character was portrayed with this kind of realism. I thought it actually WAS Don King the first time I saw this movie. Ving Rhames should have won Oscars, Emmys, and every kind of conceivable award for his portrayal of Don King. I mean he even has the voice inflections and mannerisms of Don King down to such a science it is unreal. I have never seen an actor portray anyone that well. I wish I could give this movie 10 stars. Ving Rhames IS Don King, from beginning to end. The man should have won an Oscar and an Emmy. I can't emphasize ENOUGH how well Ving Rhames plays Don King. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this movie.

Only in America could a small time numbers runner-con man from Cleaveland make it from a prison cell to being the most powerful man in the richest of sports...Don King is simply put the greatest promoter of all time and even in his seventies the man just flat out controls most of the strings of the sport. Ving Rhames becomes the character as we follow his trials and tribulations, and in a cool piece of screenplay, Don talks to the audience and himself explains what is going on in his life as he makes his way to the top, mowing away all opposition especially Bob Arum. Things still havent changed as he promotes most of the top players in boxing today, and will do so until he dies, if the man is not immortal.

Ving Rhames should have gotten every award in 97 for this Gem.He was DON KING&that isn't easy.DOn King is One OF Sports Most Interesting People Ever.He was Marketing Product Long Before People had a Term for it.He Understood what worked for whomever was His Fighter at the Moment was.He said it best if their wasn't a Him they Hollywood would have too Create One.Love Him or Loath Him You Have Too Acknowledge His Impact on Society.Just the Electric Chair Hair Alone.The FIlm had a Solid Cast Very Well Done. ...
