4-0 out of 5 stars Heavenly Description of After-Life Accomodations and Romance
This Compelling movie brings much Understanding to the concept of "Life After Death" and gives us a few clues about how to get-around when we do not have bodies, anymore! This movie also shows that you do not just Quit doing all of the things you love...you simply have a Lot More Time to do them! If you have ever questioned dogmatic beliefs or had "Lucid" dreams that foretold an After-Life that contradicts what you have been led to believe...this movie is for you. If you are a person who seeks Knowledge about Spirituality, this movie is a great addition to your personal collection of images, data and theories. Or....if you are just a Romantic person, who enjoys a Great Love Story! Get your box of tissues ready and delve into this Highly Under-rated film. I would give it 5 stars, if it were a little faster-paced...but, that's just my Opinion. Most women Love this film (and guys should give it a try)! "Made in Heaven" is difficult to find, where I live, so I wonder how many people know about this Great Movie. There are many surprising scenes in this film and I believe it should be considered a Classic.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautifully woven story:love, heaven, earth, rebirth, death
The opening credit of the film "The story you are about to see could be true. You may even know some of the people." sets you up for and helps you ponder the story line of the movie. There are questions which we all ask ourselves and things we all wonder about. Where does inspiration come from? Did you ever notice that when you meet some people you just click? How about all of the seemingly small, insignificant things which have happened in your life. Things that had they not have happened, your live would be drasticaly different? All of those things that struck a chord but only later did we realize the significance. The lyrics of the title song "We've Never Danced" by Neil Young tells the story in itself: "Between heaven and earth, there's a ballroom glow, where couples glide in the evermore.......I hope it's not too late, we were more than friends, I can hardly wait, til we meet again." Some of these questions and mysteries are presented within a beautiful and moving love story. As you'd expect, the answers can't really be put into words, without trivializing them. So all we can do is experience the magic of the story and at the end, know that we have experienced part of the connection between heaven and earth. I highly recommend that you seek out this video and experience the magic.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great story, cinematography, and music
This is one of those rare movies that takes the subject of life after death and gives the viewer layers to ponder. Do souls go on? Are there new souls as well as old ones? Can we really talk to G*d that smokes and wisecracks? I felt the use of color was particularly done well and the cinematography was exceptional. Then there is the sound track, one of the best I have ever heard. I would love to meet whomever picked these songs, they are perfect. Next to "Streets of Fire", this is about the best music from any movie that is not a musical. I wish they would release it on wide-screen DVD. PS- the small part casting is great, watch for Neal Young as a truck driver!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Maid In Heaven Movie
If you believe in love, if you believe that their is only one special someone for you, if you believe that the love you share with your significant other was "Made in Heaven," this is the movie for you. Timathy hutton plays the all American nice guy who dies after rescuing two kids from drowning. In heaven, he meets the love of his life played by Kelly Mcgillis. As they are about to marry, her soul is sent to earth. Timathy's character asked to be sent to earth to find her. He is given thirty years to do so. This sweeping story is nothing short of mesmerizing. You can't help but route for these two people. You want them to find each other and you care about the things they are going through. This film makes you believe in the "L" word in it's true sense. Even if you are not one who can grasp or understand the notion that love made in heaven is a possibility, you can't help but get caught up in this little story about these two love struck souls. I highly recommend this movie to every romantic at heart person out there. If you ever find yourself in the arms of your loved one on a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon, this is the movie to cozy up with. Yes, it's a "Chick's Flick" but sometimes, they can be good too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Feel Good Movie
This is a really great rainy day movie....I love to watch this movie when feeling glum....this movie makes you believe again...take the time and watch it...you'll love it! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Two inept cops who frame An Innocent Man
This is the story about two inept cops who frame AN INNOCENT MAN named Jimmie Rainwood(Tom Selleck). The two plain clothes police officers deviously plant drugs inside Jimmie's home, also using his mailing address. The cops spot a shadow of what looks like a pistol, but is actually a hair dryer. Jimmie was drying his hair after taking a shower. After other officers discover the drugs in Jimmie's home,he is arrested, arraigned, convicted and sent to prison for six years. After Jimmie is released,he and a few friends scheme to incarcerate the drug-planting cops. The cops end up in jail. Jimmie's buddy(F. Murray Abraham),who's still in prison, says at the end of the film,"Ain't life a motherf---er?". This film was not as great as THREE MEN AND A BABY and HER ALIBI,but I loved it.

5-0 out of 5 stars AN EXCELLENT SELLECK MOVIE
As long as I can remember I've always immensely enjoyed/loved Tom Selleck movies. This is defintely one of his best(as well as 'Her Alibi'). This is a very enjoyable prision movie with a range of emotions. This film as always been on my DVD wishlist so I'm very excited that it's finally on DVD. I highly reccomend this film, you won't regret it.

4-0 out of 5 stars An Entertainingly Uncomfortable Film
Even though you know what's going to happen to Tom Selleck's character, and you know that the ending will be happy, watching the process is enjoyably discomfiting. This is a plot film -- stuff keeps happening to the main character, things he appears utterly incapable of controlling, and everything spirals right into disaster. Great Friday night fare. Make a lot of popcorn and savor it.

5-0 out of 5 stars an excellent movie
Very entertaining movie. The characters are all great, the plot and the suspense are terrific.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Selleck Drama
I always like Tom Selleck movies. Some are actually very entertaining. This is by far his best dramatic role. I was very impressed how well he played the part of a framed Airline crew chief Jimmie Rainwood. F. Murray Abraham gives a great performance as one of the prison inmates, Virgil Cane, that befriends him. It has all the elements for some good drama, bad cops, drugs, decent and really bad convicts, attractive loving wife, and motive for revenge.

David Rasche and Richard Young do a fine job as the crooked detectives that frame him. I have recommended this to many people since many Selleck fans are not even aware of it. Whether you like Selleck or not you will enjoy this film if you like movies like "The Fugitive","US Marshals", and "Shawshank Redemption". It is being released on DVD soon and you can bet I pre-ordered a copy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great cast, great concept
I have always thought that any movie with William H. Macy must be a great film (it's a benchmark that has rarely caused me dismay); once again William proves me right. Although Brendan Frasier has a prominent role, this film is creative, interesting and has some genius plot turns. This was on the "Bravo" channel a few weeks ago and I sure wish I taped it...too bad independant films go out of stock so quickly. If you can rent it -- do!

5-0 out of 5 stars Watch this movie!
Amazing things about this movie: 1. everybody's in it but nobody's heard of it; 2. anyone will like it, including Great Aunt Matilda; 3. high watchabiltiy, that is, you can stand to watch it more than once in your life; 4. it's really, really good.

1-0 out of 5 stars Purportless
"Twenty Bucks" chronicles the journey of a twenty dollar bill, traveling from person to person until it finally reaches its original owner.
After reading about the movie's plot, I expected it to be at least somewhat exhilarating. Sadly, its most exciting part is when a man, in the process of standing up, inadvertently whacks a woman with his luggage.
I don't know if I have ever seen a more pointless film. I've searched for some kind of meaning or lesson that it could have, and I cannot find one. This film failed to impress me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hidden Treasure
Coincidentally or not, it seems that I have been watching a lot of films lately that center around the main theme present in "Twenty Bucks". We are presented with a varied cast of characters and given insight into each of their very different lives, all the while being shown how they, and we for that matter, are all connected.
What seperates "Twenty Bucks" from other films with the same theme and makes it so good is its ability to vary moods quickly and seamlessly. The film does an excellent job of mirroring life by presenting such a wide spectrum of differing events and emotions. Like life, the film is whimsical and light hearted one moment, and tragic and melancholy the next, but never do these transitions seem forced.
Our actions carry repurcussions that affect other lives in ways we can never realize, even if that action is something as seemingly insignificant as a twenty dollar bill moving from one hand to the next. The deep question being asked of us of course is, "Is it all random or is there some underlying destiny that moves us along towards our fates?" Thankfully, "Twenty Bucks" does not attempt to answer that question. Instead, it merely presents us with life and all its triumphs and failures, sadness and joy, and disillusionment and enlightenment, and lets us decide the answer based on our own point of view...do you see these things as random events or is fate involved?

Amazon.com essential video

Manhattan, Woody Allen's follow-up to Oscar-winning Annie Hall, is a film of many distinctions: its glorious all-Gershwin score, its breathtakingly elegant black-and-white, widescreen cinematography by Gordon Willis (best-known for shooting the Godfather movies); its deeply shaded performances; its witty screenplay that marked a new level in Allen's artistic maturity; and its catalog of Things that Make Life Worth Living. But Manhattan is also distinguished in the realm of home video as the first motion picture to be released only in a widescreen version. You wouldn't want to see it any other way. Allen's "Rhapsody in Gray" concerns, as his own character puts it, "people in Manhattan who are constantly creating these real, unnecessary, neurotic problems for themselves, because it keeps them from dealing with more unsolvable, terrifying problems about the universe." It's a romantic comedy about infidelity and betrayal, the rules of love and friendship, young girls (a radiant and sweet Mariel Hemingway) and older men (Allen), innocence, and sophistication. (a favorite phrase is used to describe a piece of sculpture at the Guggenheim: "It has a marvelous kind of negative capability.") The movie's themes can be summed up in two key lines: "I can't believe you met somebody you like better than me," and "It's very important to have some kind of personal integrity." OK, so they may not sound like such sparkling snatches of brilliant dialogue, but Manhattan puts those ideas across with such emotion that you feel an ache in your heart. --Jim Emerson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of Allen's best
While I would have to say that Allen's "Crimes and Misdemeanors" is better than this, "Manhattan" is still an amazing movie. Even if the script was terrible (it isn't), the characters flat (they aren't) and the great moral undertone not present (it is) the cinematography and soundtrack alone would make this movie stand out. "Manhattan" was Woody Allen's love letter to New York, filled with sweeping images of the city accompanied by terrific Gershwin music. It's a good thing he wouldn't let anybody release it unletterboxed.
But, of course, there is more to a movie than cinematography. "Manhattan" is funny (it's a Woody Allen movie, for goodness sakes), poignant, uplifting, and wonderfully intelligent. The scene near the end of the film that depicts the confrontation between Allen and his friend Yale (Michael Murphy) is one of the best scenes I've ever had the pleasure to see. The single shot of Allen, putting his face in the same frame with a vaguely Allenesque skeleton's face, is one of those things that you don't notice the first time around but on repeated viewings recognize as one of the best things about the movie.
The only people I have ever seen give bad reviews to this movie are those who point out that Allen's character is committing statuatory rape. This is true, but it's not necessarily glorified - if anything, it fits into the movie's strongest point about morality. In a world where most people who make accepted points about morality say that it's relative and accuse others of trying to be God, it's wonderful to see a film in which somebody answers to that very argument, "I gotta model myself after someone!"

5-0 out of 5 stars I'll Take Manhattan
Easily of of the best American films of all time, Allen examines relationships and life in this funny/bittersweet story set with NYC as the backdrop. Beautiful CinemaScope photography, Woody's typical neurotic cast of characters, Gershwin score, excellent acting, all come together despite Sandy Morse's non-editing talents. This was the Woody I loved... Mr. Annie Hall, now unfortunately, a man that has literally become a characature of himself. Too bad for us... What happened to you Woody?

Diane Keaton, Michael Murphy, Meryl Streep, Wally Shawn, and (especially) Mariel Hemmingway seemlessly float around Allen's chatracter flawlessly, as the film surges towards a realistic but sad end as Allen and 17 year old Hemmingway part. Funny how life imitates art (as Woody is now married literally to Rosemary's Baby).

Despite my hostility (as Allen would say), don't miss this film. It's everything that Manhattan is, and more.

PS - if you ever have a chance to see it on a big screen, do so...!

5-0 out of 5 stars Better Than Annie Hall
This is how a black and white should be filmed. And in the perfect location. I'm not a Woody Allen fan but this is just simply an excellent film. Funny, smart, insightful and emminently watchable.

5-0 out of 5 stars A timeless christmas gift for New York!
Woody Allen made a pictoric statement ; an artistic gift of countless carats ; an etarnal portrait for the next generations who will watch this picture with the same devotion we have in front a masterpiece in the Metropolitan , Louvre or any other prestigious museum in the world.
The story turns as a leit motive in many films of this clever film maker , about the disturbing relationship between two lovers , the loneliness , the no sense living who seems work out for many people in a city as NY that owns the sublime virtue of being capable of renovating to itself from time to time . This is the clue why we love so much this unique city .
The opening shots shows Allen who is left by his wife (Meryl Streep) for another woman ; this bitter sight is linked with the fact Woody falls in love with a teenager that it might be well his own daughter (Mariel Hemingway) ; notice this relationship is built for the Pygmalion effect. She admires him and eventually falls in love with him when she compares his rich gaze about the world with the routiny of her friends ; flat and deepless.
In the middle of this emotional chaos the rendezvous to NYC emerges from time to time with unforgettable images . Gordon Willis stole the show with this arresting landscapes. He caught the mythical essence of this caleidoscopic city: irreverent , creative , seductive , challenging but fascinating . However Allen knew show the viewer the underestimated wonderful treasures that by one or several reasons some proportion of the people who lives there it doesn't seem to realize . Once more the sight of an artist is to make open the eyes and alterate the usual perspectives of the reality , creating a new one.
And Allen made it . Bravo!

2-0 out of 5 stars all-white stuttering misanthrope in black and white
Does it bother anyone else that in what the director himself cals an "idealized New York" there are never any people of color? I'm talking about all of Woody Allen's films, not just this smug, prettily photographed, over-rated film. Wait, I've just been told that there is a black extra standing silently in the background of a party scene in Hannah and Her Sisters. I guess I'm wrong.

Why are people so crazy for this nasty, self-absorbed hack? ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pure Chick Flick but good!
It's simple, in one line; it's a pure chick movie. I slept through it despite Sandra Bullock is the lead! I had to drink a strong espresso to watch it again. The movie is based on the Rebecca Wells's bestseller and as it is most of the time, the movie doesn't do justice to the book. Ladies will love the movie as they did the book. It's a warm well told story, it has tremendous feel and is well acted and well written. This all-star cast left little doubt that this was going to be a good movie. It was a matter of how well first time director Callie Khouri would be able to blend this ensemble of great actors. Usually one would out shine the other, but balance was gotten and result was fantastic; if you love this kind or drama. Drama, did I write, I'm not sure about that. Some might say a romantic comedy! Sandra plays a successful playwright still having to deal with an over powering and manipulative mother. Her mother's Ya-Ya friends (the sisterhood), drug and kidnap her in an attempt to reunited daughter with mother. If any of us did that we would be facing jail time! Guys, if you need a night to make good for a bad week, rent it and show your soft, sensitive side. Just remember to drink a strong espresso; then again you might want to make that a double!

4-0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly not too bad
Summary:
Siddalee 'Sidda' Walker (Sandra Bullock) is a successful playwright in New York whose mother, Viviane 'Vivi' Abbott Walker (Ellen Burstyn - older; Ashley Judd - younger), has left some very deep, emotional scars on her. When Sidda happens to reveal some of these emotional scars to a Time magazine correspondent who later publishes them, Vivi is deeply offended and cuts off contact with her daughter. It then becomes the responsiblity of Vivi's group of friends, the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (Shirley Knight, Maggie Smith, Fionnula Flanagan), to intervene and bring Sidda and Vivi back together before Sidda's wedding to Connor McGill (Angus MacFadyen).

In order to bring the two back together, the Ya-Yas (as they call themselves) go to New York, kidnap Sidda, and bring her back to Louisiana. They then keep her quasi locked up while she is forced to experience the history of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood through their record book. Along with the pictures in the book, the Ya-Yas tell her stories, leading up to the climactic story of when Vivi had a nervous breakdown, nearly killed her kids, including Sidda and her siblings, and ultimately ended up in a mental hospital. Apparently Siddha was unaware of a lot of what was going on and, as a result, has held deep seated resentments toward her mother for a long time.

Eventually Siddha and Vivi are able to come to grips with what has happened. Siddha realizes that her mother wasn't perfect and Vivi admits to not being perfect. Having found some resolution to the emotional turmoil that has upset them for so long they are finally able to let the past go and love each other once again.

My Comments:
I went into this movie thinking that it was going to be a 'chick-flick' that I wasn't going to like. I came out regretting my initial sentiments.

The story itself is really pretty simple. The hardest part, perhaps, is just making sure that all of the flashbacks fit into the present. There are a few places where things don't make a lot of sense and some additional information would have been useful, like, for instance, more information on Vivi's family - Why her mother hated her and why her father loved her so much? It also would have been nice to have more information on why Vivi ended up marrying Shepherd 'Shep' Walker (James Garner - older; David Lee Smith - younger). Without really understanding the backstory to Vivi it is a bit hard to understand why she had the nervous breakdown, but I don't know that you can ever fully explain why someone had one - you can just start to come to grips with the fact that it happened and the ramifications of it. So, despite not having all of the information I would have liked to Vivi's backstory, the story was pretty good. The only other thing I think I should mention is that it would also have been nice to see how this blow-up between Siddha and Vivi affected Siddha's siblings. Even though she was the oldest, they were all probably old enough to remember at least some of the things that happened (this may be addressed in the book).

As for the acting, I was very impressed. I've never really thought Sandra Bullock was a great actress. So, when I saw that she was the main character in this film, or at least, was supposed to be, I was a bit worried. Well, she was okay, but she really isn't the actress to watch. Ashley Judd is the one who really has to push the limits of her acting ability and she does a great job. I think Ashley Judd has a lot of talent and was a very convincing younger Vivi, including the time during the emotional breakdown. The older Ya-Yas were also very good. Whenever they were on screen they pretty much stole the show from everyone else which, again, I can't say I minded because I'm not a huge fan of Sandra Bullock. The one person who I wish would have had more screen time but did great with what he had was James Garner, who truly did a great job of playing the role of a saintly husband who put up with a lot.

Overall, I surprised myself by finding ways to relate with this film. I would suspect that pretty much every child holds some resentments towards their parents. I know this is a bit Freudian, but those feelings can later emerge as relevant to people's attitudes towards their parents and life in general. I think this movie (which is based on a book) does a great job of dealing with those issues and illustrating how devastating they really can be. I highly doubt that any parent can prevent their kids from having issues with them, but this does give a good example of how those issues can be addressed at a later point, when both are adults and able to better understand how one's actions affected the other. Maybe I'm reading too much into the movie and all of this psycho-babble Freudian analysis isn't really there, but I think it is. Anyway, it is a movie that tugs on the heart strings, but I think most people can relate to the reasons why. Because of that I would recommend this movie for pretty much anyone that has a mother, which means everyone (whether you know who she is/was or not).

5-0 out of 5 stars Mother daughter reunion.....................................
I LOVED THIS MOVIE!

The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood tells the story of how the Ya-Yas, try to fix the gap between mother and daughter, daughter and fiancee, and in doing so, lead to a greater, deeper level of understanding between all of them as well.

I highly recommend this movie for all mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends.

It's not just about that but its so much more having real friends who would go against you in order to help you! This is such a great movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, surprisingly touching.
'The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood', the novel, is a good, NOT GREAT, example of modern fiction. It is warm, touching, funny, involving and well-conceived, but conversely, it is prissy, cloying and overly sentimental at times.

'The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood', the movie, shares all of these traits with its best-selling inspiration. It too is warm, touching, funny, and involving, but, like the book, has more than its fair share of incongrous emotions and oftentimes silly plot twists that prevent it from being a True Classic.

Starring Sandra Bullock and Ellen Burstyn (in a wonderful return-to-form, one of the best things in this picture) as Siddalee and Vivianne Walker, 'The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood' tells the story of how the Ya-Yas, Vivi's lifelong friends, heal rifts between mother and daughter, daughter and fiancee, and in doing so, lead to a greater, deeper level of understanding between all parties involved.

The movie has many, many good points. The contrast between Sidda's hectic, neurotic city-girl chic and the Ya-Ya's slower-paced, yet nonetheless as complex, lifestyles, is nicely executed, and Bullock once again proves herself to be a decent actress who, while she may not yet have found her niche, is well on her way to becoming a true talent. Burstyn is glorious as the mentally challenging Vivi, and her pals, Ya-Ya'd to near-perfection by Fionnula Flanagan, Shirley Knight and Maggie Smith, all gel well as an ensemble, even if their individual performances lack the individualism of the novel's counterparts.

The surprise of the picture is Ashley Judd as the young Vivi, she displays here an excellent understanding of the character and her portrayal of manic depression and alcoholism is as real as it is affecting.

Sadly, the bad points of the movie come in the shape of some VERY unnessecary plot-tinkering (lovers of the book will know what I mean!) and the Oirish Occent so reprehensibly attempted by the mundane Angus McFayden as Conor McGill - I'm talking ear-bleedingly bad. Are there no Irish actors in Hollywood? Would it have been so terrible, in the wake of all the other movie changes, to make the character of Conor American? Grrr.

Similarly out-of-place is the portrayal of Buggy Walker, Vivi's mother, a religious nut who doesn't come across as zealous at all, thereby robbing Vivi of much of her raison d'etre.

This is a chick-flick, undemanding and sweet, and in places, excellent, but it's a shame that it could have been so much more, and is not.

Recommended for rental.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than I expected
To tell you the truth I wasn't all that excited to see the film, just excited to have a girl's night out. I was pleasantly surprized. Sandra Bullock was wearing makeup in a movie for a change and did a better acting job than usual. Ashley Judd, who I didnt' even realize was in the film, gave an Oscar-worthy performance (though I doubt she'll be recognized for it). I've always thought she was beautiful but never considered her a fantastic actress until now. Magie Smith is wonderful, as usual and all of the other old ladies are do a fantastic job. It was nice to have a movie about women that doesn't focus entirely on the joys of youth, maturity has it's advantages. The man who plays Bullock's fiancee made me swoon, so handsome, charming and that great Irish accent. The southern accents in the movie are fun and the southern landscapes are breathtaking. Definitely a chick flick and good for men who want to understand more of the complexities of women. Be prepared to cry and to think a lot about your relationship with your mother. I actually managed to get my husband to sit thru this one when it came out on DVD, which is a real feat.

K, I really want everyone to see this, for the simple fact that my fave actor's in it (who will remain unnamed for personal reasons ^_^ LOL). Carl Reiner made this enjoyable romantic farce about a divorced couple who commence an affair at their daughter's wedding. Reiner lets the idea bounce around the story's setting and characters so that the full comic effect of the illicit relationship can be felt more chaotically, building on its own irony. Bette Midler and Dennis Farina are quite believable and likable as the not-so-estranged-anymore couple, and Paula Marshall is very good as their exasperated daughter. Not a masterpiece, but one of Reiner's best films in years, with a distinctively European flavor to the comedy. The DVD release has a widescreen presentation, production notes, cast and crew bios, theatrical trailer, Dolby sound, optional Spanish and French soundtracks, and optional Spanish subtitles. --Tom Keogh ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Adorable. It never gets old!
I've seen this film several times, and it just never gets boring. Snappy dialogue, witty characters, and Reiner's simple charm make this movie irresistable each and every time. Though it's not Hollywood's most well-known film or anything like that, THIS is what true romantic comedies are made of.

The film chronicles the "nuclear" relationship between actress Lily (Bette Midler) and author Dan (Dennis Farina), who have been divorced and re-married for 14 years and still argue over whose fault it was that ended their marriage. In a particularly hilarious "civil conversation" at their daughter Molly's (Paula Marshall) wedding, the old feeling is suddenly re-ignited and they embark on a comedic affair with Molly and her new husband Keith hot on their trail. Along the way comes Joey (Danny Nucci), a sleazy photographer who likes to capture particularly bad impromptu photos of Lily to sell in the latest tabloid magazines. Admist the absolute mess and chaos, Joey is hired by a desparate Molly to find her parents in her efforts to try and reunite them with their respective spouses. Though Lily and Dan are the main item in the film's romantic aspect, the relationship that develops between Molly and Joey is equally charming.

Though this film has its flaws, the charming and romantic parallel portraits that it paints are so likeable that the flaws are easily forgiveable. It reminds all of us that old feeling that we have inside of us through the hilarious and comedic affair between Lily and Dan, but at the same time, asks us what it is we're really looking for in Molly and Joey's story.

Overall, this is a highly recommended flick that is fresh each and every time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Recapture the love of your life¿
There are so many scenes in this delightful farce that I would love to describe in detail, but I will not spoil the surprises. Carl Reiner directed That Old Feeling to perfection. The roller coaster ride begins with a very romantic marriage proposal -- which nearly puts the bride-to-be in the hospital.

Who knew that 14 years after Lilly and Dan (Bette Midler and Dennis Farina) divorced and remarried that one very public argument would activate That Old Feeling? The "nuclear" relationship was rekindled at their daughter's wedding, and the on-screen chemistry between them is sizzling.

Their daughter Molly (Paula Marshall) is the "adult" of the trio. Her poignant comment, "Do you realize how lucky I am that someone normal wanted to marry me?" foreshadows her decision to not settle.

The acting is excellent, and I am sure the cast had a lot of fun making this movie. In one scene, Molly is fixing Joey's (Danny Nucci) hair; her eyes shift quickly as she figures out what will work to tame his wild locks. It is a simple scene, but it shows what good acting is about -- making it believable.

Bohemians and politicians in a showy wedding where Molly's grandmother is tap dancing beg for comments. The political jibes about liberals and Republicans fit the scene and add to the farce.

There are no "F" words; in fact, no swearing at all. Also, there are no sweaty bedroom scenes. The "action" is shown through innuendoes that stimulate imagination. In my opinion, this is much better than bearing it all.

The fights and conversations between Lilly and Dan are stunning. Throughout the movie, great dialogue is snappy and fresh. In the end, Molly and Joey are accused of being just like her parents ... "No, but we soon will be..."

The music score is superb. I own the music CD too.

Five stars for one of my favorite movies.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I love this movie! It's one of my favorites. It's very cute and sweet and funny. I reccomend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Forget the rest of the cast...give me Danny Nucci!!
I think I've seen this movie a bizillion times and like one reviewer said, I never am bored with it. It's just that kind of movie that you can sit back, relax and have a good laugh. The two main couples the movie focuses on are wonderful together; but truthfully the whole cast played their parts very well. I just can't say it enough though...I loooove Danny Nucci. He's so cute! That raven black hair, those dark brooding eyes, that New York accent...

5-0 out of 5 stars midler and farina were made for each other!!!
I can't count how many times I have seen this movie and still it makes me laugh.

Not a very complex comedy but it doesn't need to be: Molly (Paula Marshall) is getting married to an up-tight blue-blood and is worried that her parents (Midler and Farina) who have been divorced for many years and still hate each other "with a nuclear capability" will ruin her wedding. Despite her reservations she invites them both and it almost comes to a slugfest in the middle of the reception. Yet immediately afterwards the romance, mysteriously, rekindles and the reunited parents of the bride ditch their new spouses (a gold-digger step mother and an overly sensitive therapist stepfather who is a little too attached to his dogs) to head off for a wild weekend, leaving Molly to find them and split them apart.

For help finding her actress mother Molly gets the help of an overzealous paporazzi (played by Danny Nucci) to find them (of course the romance between the two youngsters can't be contained either).

What is the true gem of this movie is the way Midler and Farina play off each other; here is a middle aged couple acting (and even dressing) middle aged but show that no matter how old you are you still have "that old feeling". The argument scenes between them are hysterical and quick-witted (a staple of any Midler performance; aside from Bette Davis-- Midler's namesake-- no one can deliver an insult better than Bette Midler with humor and wrath).

This is a great movie for a Saturday afternoon and I would highly recommend this to anyone! ... Read more

This HBO original comedy, adapted by Larry Gelbart (Tootsie) from the book by Bryan Burrough and John Helyar, concerns one of the most compelling tales of corporate buyout madness in the go-go 1980s. James Garner plays F. Ross Johnson, CEO of RJR Nabisco. Following failed and expensive efforts to sell a smokeless cigarette to the public, Johnson decides that he's had enough of navigating around the wrath of the company's stockholders. Drawing up plans to buy RJR Nabisco outright, he soon finds himself outmatched (though still determined) in a race for the prize with takeover king Henry Kravis (Jonathan Pryce). The ensuing battle is both bitterly funny and full of acid-tinged insights into the '80s greed that changed corporate America forever. Besides Gelbart's great script and Glenn Jordan's competent direction, the star of this exciting film is Garner, who is absolutely wonderful as the gracious Johnson. --Tom Keogh ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great entertainment if you like Wall Street, etc.
People who complained that this movie doesn't compare to the book should relax a little. Any movie that's based on books cannot do the book justice in less than 2 hours. If you have 3 hours a la Lord of the Rings or 4 hours like the A&E production of Pride & Prejudice, then maybe and I would have adjusted my rating accordingly.

But this movie is under 2 hours and managed to take a very complicated topic in Leveraged Buy-Outs (LBO's) in one of the biggest LBO's of our time in RJR-Nabisco and manages to make the story very entertaining. It flows quickly and I had no trouble following what's going on.

The acting is superb; Jonathan Pryce played Henry Kravis as a cold, calculated and ruthless corporate raider (whether Kravis is like that in real life I don't know) and James Garner did a nice job as F. Ross Johnson. Overall, if you like wall street type movies like Wall Street with Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen, I would highly recommend this movie. In fact, I like this better than Wall Street.

4-0 out of 5 stars Infamous LBO and Characters Interestingly Depicted
In the wild and wooly 1980s, leveraged buyouts (LBOs) -- financed predominantly through the issuance of junk bonds -- reigned supreme. James Garner gives a nice performance as CEO of RJR Nabisco, F. Ross Johnson. After reluctantly meeting with KKR's LBO guru Henry Kravis (portrayed masterfully by Jonathan Pryce), Johnson figures it would be best to go his own route to accomplish the buyout; after all, Johnson wants to retain his autonomy and Pryce would unlikely allow this to happen.

An all-out power war ensues, with Johnson working with Shearson Lehman Brothers pitted against Kravis and the powerhouse Drexel Burnham Lambert (mysteriously downplayed).

The performances are great and the storyline moves fast and holds your interest. Not to be missed if the dynamic world of finance is your thing. A very different movie than Wall Street both cinematically and contextually.

Stars James Garner, Jonathan Pryce (really, really good), and Peter Riegert.

5-0 out of 5 stars I could see this movie over and over
This is a great movie, particularly for someone interested in true stories of corporate behavior. Several of my finance professors when I was pursing my MBA recommended this movie. I was not disappointed.

Due to a high volume of profanity, this movie is not appropriate for young children.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as great as the book, but a DELIGHTFUL farce
The book this movie is made from is a masterpiece of business literature. It is impossible to make that wonderful book into anything less than an extended documentary or a several part mini-series. That being admitted and set aside, this is a very good and very funny movie. Amazingly, it tells a lot of the actual story as you can cram into a standard movie format.

It is bitingly funny and like all satire that truly bites, it is funny because it is based on truth. This movie condenses the RJR - KKR competition into something like a farce (as it seemed in the papers at the time). Some may object to making such a huge deal into something of a joke, but c'mon, this whole deal had a large dose of the absurd about it. How else could they have played this story in two hours?

And it is has the additional benefit of being educational for business students. You will see how managers misuse shareholder money by treating it as if it were their own (agency costs). You will see planeloads of money poured into bad projects (NPV). You will see naked greed, inept investment advice, and broken trust (corporate ethics). You know, late 20th century American business! It is funny, dramatic, and a bit touching, for example, as they fly the sick pooch home on his own private corporate jet. (Which some deny every happening, but it has entered the realm of legend - so whether it happened or not it has become something like a kind of truth.)

James Garner is terrific (he almost always is) as is the whole cast. It really is a delightful movie and that is almost miraculous given how deadly boring this topic could have become.

But don't forget to read the book!

3-0 out of 5 stars If you read the book, it's a disappointment.
If not, it can be funny even to laymen. Obviously, it's practically impossible to transfer everything from the book to movie. So don't expect too much, Wall Street guys. ... Read more

This a fun-filled movie for the whole family. My 5 year old enjoyed it every bit as much as my 8 and 10 year olds did. Daniel Stern does an great job portraying a Dad out to reconnect with his family. No matter what. He's a real dud - or is he? If you're looking for a light-hearted family-style movie this one you're sure to enjoy over and over again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daniel Stern at his BEST!
This movie is silly. Just downright silly, with Daniel Stern as the "mad" dad trying to find a piece of his relative's history in the Civil War, and Julie Haggerty (from the AIRPLANE movies)as the high-strung mother. Downright silly, and some emotions are shown in this fine movie. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Cutesy and clichè
"Just Married" is a painfully cheesy movie that's almost too lighthearted and cute. Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy play a Romeo and Juliet-esqe couple that has been repeated in so many movies, its sickening - he's the classic dorky sports fan and child of middle-income parents, and she's the daughter of some billionare whose profession we never learn. Her parents would have rather married her to the snobby Peter Prentice, a dull antagonist who is more of a roadblock then an actual character. Anyway, the cute couple get married and jet off to Europe where their lies to eachother and unbelievable circumstances (they are kicked out of a hotel after they ruin the circuit system by trying to plug in some kind of sex toy) hinder their enjoyment of the perfect honeymoon. The movie was worsened by bad jokes, boring characters, and clichè storylines. I think I considered laughing about once.

The terrible thing about this movie was how unbelievable everything was. Every character was able to pull a beautiful and heartwarming monologue out of thin air. Most of the speeches didn't even fit the character's personality, for instance, Kutcher's character gave at least two of these monologues, and each one was one of the best parts of the film's script. Too bad they came out sounding forced and awkward, since the character isn't supposed to be the brightest bulb in the box.

Finally, the characters were painfully underdeveloped. We don't know whether or not Murphy's character likes being rich, nor can we ever really discern whether she's a rich-girl ditz or an art-loving intellectual. We never find out what Murphy's father does, and although a good, strong father-son relationship is hinted at between Kutcher's character and his father, we never know for sure. Finally, an attractive blonde was constantly around Murphy's character...was she a sister? friend? cousin? It nagged me through the whole movie.

So, why not 1 star instead of 2? Well, Murphy and Kutcher proved to be excellent actors with amazing chemistry together. Murphy especially lit up the screen with her dazzling personality and cute, scratchy voice. Kutcher will be forever typecast as the dumb guy, but its a character that suits him well. I found them to be the only highlights of the movie.

Bottom line: This movie kept me awake. It was fast paced and mildly enjoyable, but lacked anything fresh or different. See it if you like teen chick fliks, not if your idea of a movie is one that will keep you thinking.

1-0 out of 5 stars A romantic comedy, but without the romance or the comedy
My one star rating for this movie is solely because of the wonderful scenery in the French Alps set.

My three part list for the rest of the movie:

1. It is badly cast
2. It is badly acted
3. It is badly written

THE STORY: Dumb, clumsy guy meets rich girl, they fall inexplicably in lust, they get hitched, they have a lousy honeymoon (due to their own stupidity), they quarrel, they break up, they make up (repeat last three items several times)

The movie consists in its entirety of every bad, hackneyed gag best left on the cutting room floor. There is no on-screen chemistry between Kutcher and Murphy, and the torturous story limps along slowly and painfully to an unbelievable ending.

The old lady in the car speaks for all of us - this wreck of a movie should be put out of its misery.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just Married
Just Married DVD ~ Ashton Kutcher is a funny, and harmless romatic comedy. I loved it and so will you. 5/5.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dont hurt em Kutch!!!!
This is the best movie I've seen since I got the scope at the proctologists office.............this morning.

1-0 out of 5 stars Movie smells worse than its bathroom gags
Don't waste your time, not to mention money, on this stupid and pointless movie. I borrowed this from the library and still considered it a waste of money driving to the library. The movie is loaded with gags that we've all seen countless number of times in other movies. Not only are these tired cliches but they are poorly performed. What was the director thinking? Kutcher's character is a complete moron without any idiosyncratic quirk to endear him to the audience; he's just stupid without being funny. Murhpy's character is not much better. Watching them fight each other is like listening to fingernails on a blackboard. One only wishes that they were in the car when the old lady rams it off the cliff. What a turkey of a movie. ... In Made in Heaven, Timothy Hutton plays a young guy in 1946 who's just been dumped by his girl and decides to go to California. On his way, he rescues a family from a car that's driven into a lake--and drowns in the process. Of course, he finds himself in Heaven, and there he meets Kelly McGillis, a soul who's never been born on Earth. The two fall in love. Just as they're about to get married--just for the fun of it, since by the rules of Heaven they're already married--McGillis gets sent to Earth to be born. Hutton pleads with Emmett, a figure who may or may not be God, who finally agrees to give Hutton 30 years on Earth to find her and continue their love. This 1987 Alan Rudolph film teeters on the edge of absolute cheesiness and steps over that edge at moments, but mostly it miraculously maintains a delicate, sweet, and affecting tone. McGillis is good, but Hutton is superb, demonstrating an honest charisma that makes him engaging even when he's being a jerk. The depiction of Heaven avoids the patronizing, overdone joyfulness that too many movies fall into. Though the idea sounds like pure saccharine, Made in Heaven consistently sidesteps the obvious and comes up with something genuine. Rudolph is a prolific but erratic director (his stronger movies include Choose Me, Trouble in Mind, The Moderns, and Afterglow), but this is one of the ones worth seeing. Made in Heaven features Debra Winger and an uncredited Ellen Barkin, as well as cameos by rock stars Neil Young, Ric Ocasek, and Tom Petty. --Bret Fetzer ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Delightfully entertaining!
Movie snobs don't bother--you have way too many rules for this fun little movie. I picked up The Big Tease never having heard of it so I was a bit confused at first by the documentary style. Luckily my husband (a major Drew Carey fan) recognized Craig Ferguson and I stopped trying to figure out what was happening and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The character Crawford Mackenzie is so likeable that the convoluted plot is irrelevant. There is something fresh and fun about the flick that elevates it above the slapstick and predictable laughs that plague many more commercial movies.

3-0 out of 5 stars Maybe I need to see this one again...
"The Big Tease" is a pretend documentary about Crawford Mackenzie, a Scottish hair stylist who thinks he is invited to an international "Hair-off" in L.A. Unfortunately, he is only invited to sit in the audience. However, he refuses to go back home and does everything in his power to get into the competition. Of course, he does. In the middle of all of this he stumbles through life in Los Angeles.

This was certainly an interesting movie. Maybe I was distracted or tired when I saw it, but I honestly had trouble following (or concentrating) on the film--the action, as well as the plot, was awfully scattered and jumpy. Craig Ferguson is one of my favorite actors, though, and he portrays the extremely bizarre (but innocent) Crawford very well. With the specific nature of the movie's subject and the unusual editing, this is clearly an independent movie along the lines of "Happy, Texas." However, it also has some very silly moments, as in when Crawford dances frantically in his hotel room or when he recites "California Dreaming", line by line, in an extremely serious voice. I think I will have to rent this one again to decide if I like it. My first impression was that this movie wasn't as great as I expected it to be.

4-0 out of 5 stars More fun than a mullet . . .
Terrific cast, gentle silliness. Craig Ferguson is wonderfully absurd and Donal Logue is his usual entertaining self in a supporting part. If you liked Saving Grace or The Tao of Steve, this is a great little movie at a great price.

4-0 out of 5 stars A TEASE IT EESE!
Not a stellar production by any stretch, this mockumentary still gets my top vote.

It's a fun, (almost) realistic romp through a Hollywood-wannabe life. Crawford is very convincing as a Scottish hairstylist who makes the mistake of thinking that he is a participant for a "Platinum Hairoff" competition in LA, when he was only one of the 100 lucky draw viewers selected at random.

Mayhem ensues and he is smitten by the idea of the trophy and wishes to steamroll his way into the contest come rain or shine. This includes a very funny cameo by (the usually safe bet) Frances Fisher, plus guest appearances from some big stars.

The documentary style cut may require a couple of scenes to get used to, but stick with it. The film has its moments. Predictable in the end, but so are some of the best movies. It's the message of self-worth and persistence that makes it worthwhile.

Interesting feel-good low-budget effort. Recommended rental for a light one and half hours.

5-0 out of 5 stars This film needs a soundtrack album
Or better yet, a special edition DVD with accompanying soundtrack CD. In addition to this being an all-around great movie, Lee Ving (from the band Fear), as his character Roy Boy, sings a couple of great country & western type tunes that I'd really like to have on a disc to listen to whenever I want. I won't hold my breath for the DVD or the CD though, people just don't appreciate good cinema these days.

5-0 out of 5 stars true story
This is a fictionalized story of Newark, New Jersey's Anthony Imperiale who, despite being called by some a vigilante, was a great humanitarian who helped anyone in need regardless of their color or background. He served as a Newark City Councilman, and as both a New Jersey State Assemblyman and Senator. Originally this movie was supposed to be a true version of his story, but some how the deal fell through. There is one part in the movie where some footage of him is used. He passed away 12/26/99.

4-0 out of 5 stars Underrated
Taking place in a crime-ridden Philadelphia neighborhood, Fighting Back is the story of a blue-collar Italian-American businessman played by Tom Skerritt who, after seeing his own family victimized, begins a neighborhood watch association that soon transforms into a squad of well-meaning but violent vigilantes. As Skerritt is both recruited by local politicians and targeted by the street gang that controls his neighborhood, the organization slowly grows out of control until it becomes as much a threat to freedom as the criminals it pursues. Unfairly dismissed as a Death Wish rip-off when originally released, Fighting Back is actually a far more intelligent film than most urban vigilante films and actually makes a fairly succesful attempt to realistically examine the consequences of such actions. The violence is surprisingly brutal and the film manages to find room for actual character development so that, for once, the action doesn't take place in a vacuum devoid of emotion. Lewis Teague, along with Joe Dante, is one of the best (and most intelligent) directors working in the field of "genre" filmmaking and he directs with a nicely natrualistic feel. The acting, on the whole, is good with only the film's main street gang coming across as stick figures. Michael Sarrazin turns in a good performance as Skerritt's best friend who becomes the first to suspect that their cure to crime might be worse than the actual disease while a pre-Sledgehammer David Rasche has a lot of fun in a small role as a reporter. The film's main strength is with Tom Skerritt who, surprisingly for those who remember him mostly from Picket Fences, is totally convincing as a serious-minded, blue collar Italian from Philadelphia. He brings a nice bit of ambiguity to the role and never tries to make his character a saint or a super hero. He gives the film a much needed dose of humanity that is missing from films like Death Wish and its clones. All-in-all, Fighting Back is an unjustly underrated film that deserves more attention than it's been given.

4-0 out of 5 stars FIGHTING BACK
After his family is assaulted by thugs, Italian deli owner Tom Skerritt forms the People's Neighborhood Patrol to clean up the crime ridden streets of Philadelphia. FIGHTING BACK is an above-average vigilante/revenge film in the vein of DEATH WISH, VIGILANTE and DEFIANCE. It was made back in the early 1980's when urban violence had reached a peak (and Skerritt's career consisted of more than Aleve commercials). The film's highlights include some suprisingly shocking violence and disgusting inner city locals. A feel good movie it is not. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star action flick is a political subplot that slows down the pace of last half of the film. But that aside, FIGHTING BACK succeeds in being an adrenaline filled beat 'em up movie that really packs a punch. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A movie for guys who like violent 80s movies
If you tried to be serious, Cobra would not be considered a good film. But if you want to talk about the movies you grew up with, the 80s cheese, the movies where the bad guy was just so evil you knew he was gonna get it but good?

That's where Rambo director George P. Cosmatos comes in and delivers Cobra. Stallone mumbles a lot and chews on a match like toothpick. He drives an incredible classic souped-up Mercedes (with nitrous boosts) and brandishes a submachine gun. When normal cops can't get it done, the Captain calls in the Cobra.

Do I need to talk about the story? Well, okay. Remember the punk from the opening of The Terminator--the guys who gets Arnie's fist put through him? He's the head of some evil cult here. You never find out what they're about, but they just like killing people sadistically with axes and knives, etc. They're just really evil, bad people.

Anyway, Stallone gets on the case, and dozens of corpses later he faces off with The Night Stalker, or Slasher, and...well, I'll let you find out.

This DVD actually has some decent extras. I'm impressed. Tailor-made for the dedicated violent 80s movie fan, including commentary from the director(!) AND a documentary.

You either know you're gonna love Cobra or hate it just by looking at the box cover art. So there you go.

4-0 out of 5 stars A classic action movie...
This is a classic Sylvester Stallone action movie. It's one of the best he ever made. Cobra was mostly known for the number of people killed during the movie. It far exceeded any previous record for an action movie...bordering on the comical. Some of the things you'll remember... The match he keeps in his mouth. His awesome gun. His Mercury which is painfully destroyed during the movie. And the most memorable moment is when he meets up with "Night Slasher" (Brian Thompson) at the end and gets an earful about the judicial system. "They'll say I'm insane. Won't they...PIG!?" If ever there was a classic piece of film it's this encounter. Me and my friends still joke today about how spittle and sweat comes from his mouth when he says, "PIG!". It's hilarious. That alone is worth owning this movie. In all, it's typical of 80's action films. Sylvester's films always seem to have a fair amount of cheese in them. It's a given. At the same time tho, they don't make films like this anymore. The days of the action hero seem over, but they can be relived with movies like Cobra.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Zombie Squad?
When people watch the recent "action" movies that have been released in theaters, they definitely are not getting what film-goers got out of action movies in the 80's. What makes action movies, "Action Movies", is the obvious lack of story, poor acting, and endless amounts of cheese. Cobra has it all...and much, much more! From the group of psychos that are bent on creating "The Way of the New World" to Marion Cobretti, Stallone, and his Zombie Squad, Cobra never lets you forget that it is a terrible movie, which means it is awesome. The Zombie Squad is supposed to be the misfit cops who do the jobs the "real" cops won't do. Stallone heads this rag tag crew, which involves only Poppy from Seinfeld fame, against the dirtiest man alive, who leads...the group of men and women who kill hot chicks. Are you following me? No? Good. Some highlights, the soundtrack...trust me, pure cheese, and the give and take between Cobretti and the Lieutenant who disagrees with Cobra's methods, riveting stuff. The fight at the end between Cobretti and the whole Attractive-Girl Slaughtering Gang deserves an award. I am not sure what award, maybe a bucket of KFC? Any way, this movie is atrocious...so buy it to annoy your friends or your girlfriend.

3-0 out of 5 stars A piece of entertainment
This movie lingers between the lines of being the worst movie ever made, and the funniest.
Don't get me wrong on this, the film is crap, no dought about it, the film is crap, but it will have you in hysterics from beginning to end. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense but you don't really care, it's full of some of the stupidest things I've ever seen (Like when the bad guy dies his hair black. Like it really makes any difference to a guy as hefty as that.He looked exactly the same.)
Basically you can't go on about it for too long but it's worth renting if your looking for a comedy that will really make you laugh out loud.
Saying that I would love to see the directors commentary. He might be as funny as the film itself?

5-0 out of 5 stars ILOVEITILOVEITILOVEIT!
Anyone who grew up in the 80s saw this film, you had no choice. I remember seeing it at the drive-in on a double bill with Road House. This is a fun Cannon/Stallone collaboration. Yeah, it's oozing with cheese and cliched as can be, but it wouldn't be half as fun if it weren't. Stallone's in tough guy mode again(it seems like he never set off to be an action hero, but ended up one), this time around as a Dirty Harry-esque cop, who's naturally hated by the force and considered a "loose cannon". He's out to stop a wacky death cult and protect their next victim at the same time. Not to mention romancing her. The cult's motivations are never totally explained, they just go around slaughtering women. Brian Thompson is scary looking and menacing as the cult leader with that cool knife we all remember. We get a big showdown at the end where Stallone really gets into Stallone mode. He takes on the whole cult(who REALLY must want to kill this woman considering they all come out of hiding to get her) Rambo style. I must say that Cobra is one sadistic mother-most of the cult members he likes to set on fire in various ways! Try watching it again and relive the cheesy fun. If you haven't seen it(shame on you), you must, must, must!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Just for fun
This is definetly not a movie for everyone, but i enjoyed it. it doesn't tackle any huge issues, and the plot is kind of predictable, but it was fun to watch. if you are in the mood for a no brainer movie, this is it...and we all know sometimes we want to watch a movie that doesn't need explaining...a movie you can just kick back and enjoy. I LOVE robert downey jr, and he is by far the best actor in the film. The best scene is when they guys try to get the girls to get naked in the hot tub with them, i laughed so hard when keaton dropped his towel and the girls went screaming into the house histarically laughing because of a rather large, very exposed extremity...i almost died...but you'll have to check it out for yourselves...not for the younger viewers...but fun if you want a no brainer...it reminded me of me and my friends on our little trips...i think that's why i liked it...it's cheesy, but relateable on some level...worth checking out.
