Some Brilliant Moments
"Which Way to the Front" is a terribly uneven World War II comedy, but it has some classic sequences that feature Jerry Lewis at his best. The Chaplinesque ballet with Jerry and Adolf Hitler is a definite highlight. The film gets off to a shaky start, yet improves as it goes along -- especially when Jerry impersonates a Nazi officer. For all its flaws, this Lewis effort is definitely worth a look.
