4-0 out of 5 stars Funny!
The only reason I own this movie is for the 12 minutes of pure laughter that is portrayed in the second story of this film. Like Twilight Zone and Creepshow, This film is dissected into multiple stories (3). The first one is kind of stupid. The second story is about anger and I have to say this is possibly the funniest Andrew "Dice" Clay I have ever seen. It was worth the money just to watch him in action even if it was really short. The last story has Dennis Leary and involves "lust", it is descent but not as good as Dice.

2-0 out of 5 stars One great segment, but that's it
There is only one reason to buy this film--the second vignette, "Anger." It is the funniest twenty minutes of film I have ever seen. Andrew "Dice" Clay is at his ranting raunchy best, getting off some of the best one-liners I've heard in ages. I've shown this to people who despise Dice, and they've howled. The rest of the film droops in comparison, despite excellent casting. The powers that be should have saved me some wear and tear on my VCR and put "Anger" first, because it's the only segment worth watching, believe me.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Lampoon" like it should to be!
After being blown away by another obscure National Lampoon flick, (The Don's Analyst) which was "Analyze This", only better -- I thought I should check this one out too. What's going on here? Another surprisingly sophisticated, laugh out loud film with an incredible cast. Denis Leary's "Lust" was a stylish little sexy ditty in the vein of "Rear Window." In "Anger," Andrew "Dice" Clay (who I normally despise) actually made me laugh out loud. But it was Joe Mantegna in "Greed" that really shocked me. This piece was nothing short of brilliant. An hour in length, it really is the centerpice of the whole film, and what makes it a keeper. I found it a cross between "To Die For" and "The Producers". This is sharp satire the way it used to be in the magazine's hey day. Intelligent, sexy, cutting edge stuff that pulls no punches. This one really has stayed with me. I've watched it several times now and it holds up great. The surprise "celebrity" cameos are a real hoot but they also lend an invaluable authenticity to the story. How come this wasn't in the theaters?

4-0 out of 5 stars Wowiee!!! I'm #1!!!
I'm the first person to review this! Am I the only one who saw it before? Favorite Deadly Sins is one of the funniest Lampoon movies, and definetely one of the best Lampoon made-for-cable movies. Divided into 3 segments Greed, Anger, and Lust, it features a HUGE celebrity cast: Joe Mantegna, Andrew "Dice" Clay, Denis Leary, Robert Culp, Brian Keith (Uncle Bill!), Ed Marinaro, Pia Zadora, William Ragsdale (Manniquien 2), Charlene Tilton, and one of my favorite actors, Gerrit Graham. Greed is the longest, starring Joe Mantegna as a TV producer who gets a waitress to kill her abusing family so he can turn it into a TV movie and ending with a great musical number. Anger stars Andrew "Dice" Clay as a man who has to go buy tampons for his wife, and ends up being killed. Lust stars Denis Leary as a security guard who falls in love with the babe who's in the window across from him. Very funny; I recommend it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lying Eyes ( 1996 )
It's a really great show about an 18 year old cheerleader named Amy, and one day she meets a guy named Derek, who is 33, and he's married with kids. Amy doesn't know that, but for some weird reason, falls in love with him. Amy finds out that he is married and wants to break it off. But he tells her the same old same old, that he is an "Unhappy Marrige" and he is getting a divorce. Whatever, okay! It turns out there is no divorce in progress. So she gets threats, and she thinks that it is Derek's wife, but decides to hook up with him, just so she can find out who it is. It is a really good, fascinating movie, but most people wouldn't buy it for good money, But I did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Vengeful Drama/Thriller
This was an entertaining drama/thriller originally aired on Lifetime Network about a sweet, innocent, high school cheerleader who has a romantic affair with a man way too old for her. Now, she is being stalked and terrorized by the man's other jealous lover. The poor girl soon begins fearing for her life as the vengeful woman's tactics become more and more deadlier.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Movie
The movie is about some teenager who goes to high school adn has an affair with this 30 year old man. She is being stocked by some women and almost gets driven off a cliff by her. The movie keep syou guessing until the end. Worth watching but now owning.

3-0 out of 5 stars From "Models Inc." to Mistress
Routine suspense-thriller yet engrossing and exciting enough to try to catch it whenever it appears on Lifetime every so often--although I wouldn't recommend spending good money buying it. Better than it otherwise would be because of the uncommonly beautiful Cassidy Rae, who first attained some notice on TV's defunct "Models Inc." It's puzzling why she's not more famous--oh well, the vagaries of stardom, I suppose. Rae (yes, that's her real name although it sounds so patently phony!) stars as Amy Miller, a wholesome high school senior who gets embroiled in a turbulent affair with Derek Bradshaw (Vincent Irizzary), a 33-year old married lawyer with small kids who has an unquenchable taste for sweet young things. Amy's extremely flattered and impressed by the attention and pricey gifts he lavishes upon her, but attempts to break it off when she discovers he has a family. Derek gives her the old routine about how he didn't tell her because he didn't want to lose her, he's getting a divorce, it'll take some time, it'll hurt his kids, blah blah blah, and naive Amy gives him another chance since she's in love. Disturbing things happen to her such as the trashing of her locker, a sick letter in the mail, her car almost being pushed off a cliff, getting locked in a steamroom, etc. and naturally Amy suspects Derek's wife, who already knows about the affair. When she decides to end it with Derek for good, she then becomes suspicious of him as the unrelenting, anonymous harassments and threats to her life continue. Unbeknownst to her, it's not any of the likely suspects but a person connected to Derek's weakness for young girls and somebody she never would have imagined--although we the audience can figure out pretty early on who it is. I had some problems with Amy's character as she comes across as being a little too ingenuous to be believable for someone who's supposed to be intelligent--I know she's in love but to fall for the oldest cheating married man's tale in the book (that he's in an unhappy marriage) which might very well be true but when it comes time to leave their wives, boy, that's another story! But the story's writers apparently attempted to cover this with Amy's lonely home life living with her divorced and very busy mom--she's looking for a father figure, I suppose. And I thought it was pretty pathetic the way she doesn't even notice Derek's obvious treatment of her as really nothing more than decoration. The supposedly "scary" scenes come across as cheap rehashes of slasher movie staples--the young nubile babe who knows she's in peril but willingly puts herself in dangerous situations all alone calling "Who's there?" As for Irizzary, his character comes across as too slimy and smarmy to believe a high-school goddess would fall for him, but I guess never underestimate the allure of maturity, money and all the great gifts it can buy! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This movie is EXTREME!
I have been wanting to see "Extremedays" since I saw the trailer for it when I saw "The Fast and the Furious" (another great pick!)! When I saw that my video store had it I did not hesitate in renting it. I went home put in the DVD, sat down had my cup of Pepsi and my Taco Bell dinner, and watched a very funny, action-packed, romantic (yes, I said romantic) comedy. The movie is about four friends who go on a very cool road trip to get a car and some money. Along the way they pick up a hot girl, and do a whole lot of wicked sports! This movie even though it did poorly in theaters (maybe because it's a Christian movie) it has some of the best sports footage of skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX Biking, dirtbike riding and a whole lot more. A honest DVD-viewer will notice that the picture quality on the DVD is not up to par. But, the awesome 5.1 Surround and 2.0 Stereo soundtracks make up for it. If you are an old person who does not like loudness, do yourself (and your hearing-aid)a favor and not watch this at maximum level. The really hard and heavy soundtrack will knock the socks off of you. Featuring songs from Christian artists like P.O.D., DC Talk, Project 86, Jars of Clay, PAX-217 and lots, lots more, many non-Christians will enjoy this. Very suitable for young audiences. Rated PG for some thematic elements (mostly about relatives dying) and crude humor (the guys light up their farts, a very funny scene). No language, no sex, no violence (unless you count falling off skateboards violent). This is suitable for everyone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pleasant Nights.
EXTREME DAYS is a movie about four college friends who go on a road trip so that one of them can collect his inheritance from his deceased grandfather. Along the way they keep involved in all sorts of extreme activities from surfing to snowboarding to a paintball war and some hard line skating. They also meet up with a girl (who happens to be related to one of the guys) who needs a ride. She joins them on their adventures and her and one of the boys fall in love. This movie has no sex, violence, or swearing. It's a film that makes a great alternative to many of the "teen" films churned out in LaLa land. My youngest brother is a sophomore in high school and loves this film. He kept telling me how good it is and finally after nearly a year, I sat down and watched it with him. I was pleasantly surprised. No, there aren't any Oscar moments and there are a few film making flubs, but there is a decent movie and a great story.

As a sidenote for anyone who has seen HOOK, the kid who played Rufio, is one of the EXTREME DAYS leads.

5-0 out of 5 stars Extreme Days-Awsome Ways!
I was so overwhelmed to find such a great movie! This is really a family movie. I [my husband and I] was watching it not knowing what to expect. When I was listening to the music. I realized that this is the same music that my youngest teen listens to. I hear it in church. Then we were really getting into the movie. No nude scenes! No violence! No cursing! Wait, do they still make thes movies. Well I couldn't believe it. We watched this over and over again. We have looked to buy it. My 16 year old daughter has wanted it for Christmas this being the 2nd now. Not any place I have gone to sells it. That doesn't surprise me at all! Some never heard of it. When you can see a movie with all the feeling of God moving you. Well anyone that hasn't seen it is missing out of a GREAT movie. I wish we had it and more like it. I just pray that we can soon find it along with more like it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Ausome Film
I loved this movie! It was wild, hilarious, romantic in parts but not at all immoral. The best part was the presence of God as he guided these kids through thier adventures. God kept it all in focus. I am not ashamed to recommend this movie to Christian girls, guys and any body who enjoys good clean humor and entertainment. Enjoy!

1-0 out of 5 stars How can you like this?
Please get real. As much as we christians want to cheer and celebrate something that's made with a right purpose, we must draw a line when it comes to the concept of quality. This movie, is maybe the worst I have ever seen, in every single aspect of cinematography.

Let me open your eyes a little: This film IS THE REASON why everyone loses interest in christian film or music making. I am embarrased that this movie could represent christian creativity.
Lame plot, stupid jokes, TERRIBLE directing, the worst writing ever (I felt so bad in that fighting scene...I wanted to hide myself in the couch...and I was watching it alone!), bad acting too, and religious to the bone. I would NEVER EVER show this to someone I'm trying to get saved, because he would think: Christianity is so low. Why can't we make films that stand up with secular films? Why do we keep making TRASH (Left Behind, this rubbish, Apocalypse now, etc)? The only thing it makes me think is...we are inferior. And we're not! You know what's the saddest thing? He had some money. Enough to make a much better movie. Sad.

Overall and taking out the scolding message, if you don't even know that this was a christian film, or if you don't even care, SKIP this, it's a worthless piece of rubbish. Artless..mindless.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Movie!
For a low budget Sci-Fi, This is a very well written Movie. Fans of Star Trek will like this movie because "Q" (John De Lancie) plays a very different character in this movie. Overall, Good Action, OK Graphics, Great Storyline.

3-0 out of 5 stars Evolver
Evolver is a movie about a kid who wins a video game contest set out by a large company. The robot that he wins is was a trashed government project, and the robot starts killing people. This movie was ok, but there were no big names, or great special effects. The story line was OK, so it gets about three stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars COOL MAN
When I first watched this with my dad, I fell asleep cause it was on at like 2:30 in the morning, then, it was on the next day, so I watched it and I loved it ever since. Not oscar worthy or anything, it's just is a good movie that I recommend seeing at least once in your life.
