There are some very funny scenes indeed but Farly is Farly, yelling, getting angry, fighting and fussing. If you like that you will love this. My favorite scene is where he faces the Eagle at her nest. "Why didn't you tell me you only wanted the shell?" What a great one liner. Perry is a little stiff as a character and is more of a straight man to Farly's funny man. My only problem with the movie is that there are too many places where it gets slow. Part of it is because you are in the wild and it was a slower time. There are so many great one liners that seem to have too much time between them. The inuendos are a bit much especially at the beginning. The older Indians are just great. And the scenery, especially of the Tetons and the Snake River are outstanding. If you want to have a fun night with mostly the guys this is okay for that. My wife did not like it. Anyone who knows and liked Farly for his antics and his in character concept, you will just think this is a hoot.

The main character, Buck who acts in pain well is trying to resist getting caught up with the greed for money syndrome like his bosses have been. He's in conflict with a trashy female reporter who wants to get the dirt on his project and his girlfriend who doesn't trust him not to stray under the reporter's sleazy come-ons. A psycho joins the film, carjacking Buck, and making him run errands because he wants to show the world that big corporations forget about the individuals they could hurt when it costs them money. He does this by organ robbery and a mutatious implant in the main character. ... Read more

"Paramount Pictures presents 'The Freak.' This movie won't just scare you, it will f' you up for life." Why only four stars? You need a group of people in the right mood to enjoy this movie properly. If you watch it alone, you might very well sit there thinking "Why am I watching this?" But with the right group of people, this movie is comedy gold.

To synopsize: several months have now passed since the conclusion of the original series, and the Visitors are now firmly in control of human society, rounding up humans under various pretexts for "processing" into food shipments to the mother ships. The underground resistance hasn't had much success opposing them --far from the triumphant ending of the last chapter, the L.A.-based rebels are being rebuffed at almost every turn by superior alien firepower and body armor. The resistance comes up with a daring plan to "expose" John on international television. Most of Part 1 revolves around the staging of this plan, which is carried off brilliantly but ends with Julie's capture. In Part 2 the Visitors discover resistance headquarters and stage a counterattack, but the rebels are able to flee thanks to the timely help of an old adversary of Donovan's. Julie is rescued, but she has been through the conversion process and the resistance is wary. Part 3 revolves around the birth of Robin's alien babies and an unexpected dividend from that birth. The strongest element to this sequel is the return of virtually the entire original cast, further developing the wide array of characters that have been thrown together by extraordinary circumstance. Besides Donovan (Marc Singer), Julie Parrish (Faye Grant), the Maxwells (Michael Durrell, Blair Tefkin, Viveka Davis, Marin May), Elias Taylor (Michael Wright), Sancho (Rafael Campos), Willie (Robert Englund), and Harmony (Diane Civita), a few new faces have joined the resistance, my favorites being ex-CIA operative Ham Tyler (Michael Ironside) and demolitions expert Chris Faber (Mickey Jones). Tyler and Faber are supposed to represent the "world network;" reminding the viewer that the goings-on in L.A. are not the center of the universe. Tyler is especially compelling to watch; he has a cold, take-no-prisoners exterior that puts him at odds with Donovan the boy scout, although we do get a brief glimpse of his surprisingly affectionate side later on in the second chapter. Most of "V's" original villains are back as well, including fleet commander John (Richard Herd), collaborator Daniel Bernstein (David Packer), and of course the vengeful Diana (Jane Badler). Also back in a greatly expanded role is alien "Fifth Columnist" Martin (Frank Ashmore). Aside from superior character development (proof that a truly gifted actor really can make something out of any script), "The Final Battle" just has too many flaws. There is little emphasis on allegory and too much emphasis on chase scenes, makeup effects, and laser battles. The resolution of many of the story arcs from the first chapter are the saving grace of this miniseries, but enjoyment of it really requires the viewer's familiarity with the original. Replacement director Richard T. Heffron has done a heroic job of salvaging Kenneth Johnson's ideas, but in the end it just doesn't measure up. The greatest disappointment is in the final hour of the story --the much-hyped "Final Battle" comes down to a tired old shootout with a handful of troops in the corridors of the mothership. Plotwise, the sudden addition of a brand new character in the final segment is an outright cop-out, and the final scenes --including the way-too-upbeat soundtrack-- are among the cheesiest moments in the entire series. If you absolutely must know "what happened next" to the cast of the original "V," then go ahead and obtain "The Final Battle." But if you're expecting a second helping of allegorical brilliance, prepare to be disappointed.

Michael J. Fox (Family Ties) Nancy McKeon (The Facts of Life) Todd Bridges (Diff'rent Strokes) Dana Plato (Diff'rent Strokes) Crystal Bernard (Happy Days) Lauri Hendler (Gimme a Break) Cathy Silvers (Happy Days) Even some up and comers like Crispin Glover and Anthony Edwards have notable roles. This wasn't only an 80s teenfest. It features some of the teen actors of the 50s and 60s, all who made welcomed returns to acting through this film. It has a funny plot and entangles many subplots. If you are a fan of 80s teen flicks, then get this one. It's fun to watch.

Kevin Dillon is, well, Kevin Dillon. At least he seemed to remember his lines. The big mystery can pretty much be figured out within 10mns and you spend the next 80 screaming at your TV "Don't you GET IT by now ??". All in all a very very very bad flick I really enjoyed.

I've read some prior reviews of "Infested." Some people absolutely hate the movie, saying it's a horrible excuse for bad CGI work and an inane, boring plot. Other reviews see it as a great example of social satire wrapped in a silly horror movie. I fall somewhere in between. The first half of the movie is actually fairly entertaining. After a rather amusing graveside service, a group of old college friends gather at the home of their recently deceased former friend. They hang out, talk about the good old 80's (!) and regret their choices in life. It's all very reminiscent of "The Big Chill." To gauge the tone of "Infested," one can reference the scene in which a character proudly holds up a .45 record, saying, "Does anyone remember these?" He proceeds to play the record and, instead of a golden oldie, we're treated to "Da Da Da," the song by Trio that gained popularity by its inclusion in a Volkswagen commercial! It's a silly song, a "classic" for this group of socially-stunted individuals who pine for their former glory. Dammit, it's funny. Of course, a movie about killer flies wouldn't be complete without the killer flies. They eventually make their appearance (after a very gratuitous breast shot of a thirtysomething woman) and the fun turns to horror--albeit for about 15 minutes of the movie. In this 15 minutes or so, we see several nice "ewwww!" scenes, including a girl getting blood puked on her, a decapitation after a severe and squirting neck wound, a crowbar through the side and a really nasty leg infection with flies growing in it. There's also a shower scene (sadly, no nudity from cutie Amy Jo Johnson of "Felicity" and "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers") replete with a swarm of flies. The dialog is appropriately goofy, including such memorable ones as "They don't strike me as ordinary flies." Dammit, it's funny! So there's the first half of the movie. I was fairly impressed at this point. I mean, sure, I knew it wasn't going to win any awards, but it was cruising along nicely. The direction is serviceable, the acting was pretty darn good (from Galligan, the aforementioned cutie Ms. Johnson and Robert Duncan McNeill of "Star Trek: Voyager") and the gore effects were pretty impressive. However, about 45 minutes in (30 minutes of "The Big Chill Redux" plus 15 minutes of the fly attacks), the movie quickly goes downhill. The majority of the last half of the movie involves the surviving characters fending fly-zombies off with torches and running around outside and inside the house trying to decide what to do. There's no suspense, and the comedic element is gone for all practical purposes. The gore is non-existent as well. In addition, there's a "surprise" revelation toward the end which is relatively boring and cringe-inducing. I have a pretty good feeling that it was supposed to be played for humor, but it was only worthy of a yawn. One other note: Zach Galligan is a decent enough actor. In addition, He's a pretty nice guy. I actually talked to him one night in 1986 or so as he was waiting for a cab on 86th and Broadway in New York. So my advice to him is simply this: get a new agent, buddy. You deserve better. First half of the movie: 4 out of 5 stars. The last half of the movie: 1 out of 5 stars. As a result, my final rating: 2 out of 5 stars. Rent it.
The horror scenes are pothetic and laughable and those flys are just a joke, they look like a 7th graders computer school project. If you want horror that's scary and suspensful get any of the Friday movies or Jeepers Creepers with Gina Philips who fortunately for us can actually act. Because this movie SUUUUUUUUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I would rather marry Liza Menelli than watch this garbage ever again. Peace

In the end pressures get too high for Laura's companions, and the killing club inevitably breaks apart. Six months afterwards one companion has written a novel about their experiences, reviewing it with the other one. The two ladies reminisce about former times, concluding they don't miss Laura. Laura in the meantime has left Los Angeles, and is shown somewhere in Arizona. No doubt on her way to a new horror plot.
This movie is a 2002 film and it is starring Tracy Lords! I have to actually say that I thought this movie would have turned out horrible. But it actually had a entertaining quality about it. The DVD'S sound and picture quality was very good, I thought for a B movie. Basically the premise of the story a woman kills her husband by accident. He was actually a jerk so it wasn't like he was missed in the film. She actually didn't miss him after the brutal death in the film. "Traci Lords" which was a friend of the girls came by and noticed there was blood on the wall and helps her hide the body. From there Traci developes a lust to kill men and decides to bring together a Club. Which she states in her own words "This is more exciting that the Girl Scouts!" Which consist of 3 women that go on a spree of haunting men down who are desrespectful in anyway. Well, actually the other two women are not confortable with the situation. Traci who is the ring leader forces and some what orhestrates all of the murders. Soon she turns against her own friends with threats that if the don't they will end up the same way. The movie inspires alot of comic relief it has a lot of high points and some low points. Over all Traci's performance was good but her facial expressions and pristine gestures made you feel she was posing for the camera. Her lip movements made you think she was powting even when she was just conveying a simple point. The perverted mortician scene is the funniest of all the killings it was completely uproarious! The movie is a definite watcher at least one time then put it away for a while. I think Traci is a very exotic looking woman she reminds me alot of Jaime Pressly. There was one more down point about the film even though the characters and acting was Quirky. I think the director over did trying to convey how horrible her husband was before the accident. I mean he had a short time to convey his point but I feel it could have been done better. The husband seemed a bit too harsh I mean his character was almost cartoonish and unrealistic to some degree. Over all though this movie isn't bad it will make you laugh. It is kinda similiar to Very bad things" but not as good. Christian Slater's character "Boyd" was way more philisopical and uproarious than Traci's character. Arish ... Read more
