Jenna did it again.

Released in 1998, this is a precious example of increasingly popular series of Videos carrying Jenna in the title: Essential Jenna, Jenna Ink, and the one and only 1997 CD Rom Virtual Sex with Jenna , now a DVD with interactive menus. Producers are obviously cashing in on the skyrocketing career of Jenna Jameson as it took only a few releases to catapult this young artist born in 1975 into becoming the undisputed queen of adult films. Set in a gorgeous mansion, this sixty minute flick is devoted to Jena and her friends, including two luscious and naughty scenes of Jenna, where one can feast on Jenna's many attractions, her ample 40 inch bosom, her delicious butt cheeks featuring the trade mark tattoo "heartbreaker", her long legs, but above all, her warm and innocent eyes which look right into you as if you were the only man in her life. Her award winning smile featuring two large front teeth tops it all. Success has definitely not spoiled this women who manages to keep her "girl next door" look. The other gorgeous women in the movie form an appropriate background which accentuate the special girl Jenna is. The video is actually a film version of a series of stills shot for an adult magazine. This is both a drawback and a bonus. A drawback because it at times disturbed the continuity and sequencing of the video but it is a bonus as Jenna can be enjoyed in almost still like mesmerizing scenes eliminating the need for the pause button. ... There's a little Ron in all of us.
Guys (and girls too) you know Ron Jeremy. Chances are, if you have ever watched two [adult] videos, Ron Jeremy was in one of them. In fact, you probably fast-forwarded through his scene. However, as you were fast-forwarding (and laughing at how ridiculous sex looks at high speed) you were you thinking, wow, how did this guy end up in this video? Jeremy is short, hairy, and fat, and yet somehow is the world's most recognizable porn star. You just gotta wonder: how did he do it?

Well, ponder no longer, Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy has arrived. This 80 minute documentary follows a day in the life of Ron Jeremy while telling his life story. Interviews with his family, friends, and his, ahem, distiguished colleagues, keep it interesting as they discuss the man, the myth, and of course, the legend. Actually, Jeremy is a pretty regular guy, and dare I say, boring.

Seriously though, we all owe a little debt of gratitude to Ron Jeremy. Deep down in places not usually discussed at the dinner table, we all (generally speaking) admire Ron Jeremy: the ugly guy who gets the hot girls. Jememy was in the first porn I ever saw and I'll never forget it. This may not be the crowning achievement Jememy wanted, but it is his legacy. God bless him for it.

The luckiest man on the planet
Ron Jeremy. You've got to wonder about the guy. Anyone who has had the misfortune to rent a porno and then you see this hairy fat guy getting get down and dirty with loads of beautiful women, it makes the average guy (!!ME!!) think "If only my Old Fella were as big as Ron's". No doubt about it, on the surface the Hedgehog looks like he is the luckiest man on God's green Earth.
PORN STAR is actually a highly enjoyable, light hearted look at the rise and rise of arguably the most successful male adult film star in history. Really, viewers will be amazed to learn that Ron really just wants to be taken seriously as an actor and most of the time according to SCREW editor Al Goldstein, he would rather eat copious amounts of food than what he is famed for (ahem!) eating. Hard to believe.
Unlike WADD: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JOHN C HOLMES and SEX: THE ANNABEL CHONG STORY, PORN STAR features no sordid tales of drug abuse or degradation at the hands of sleazy porn merchants. It's basically the tale of a regular all round nice guy blessed with a mega sized schlong who gets to live out every guy's wildest fantasies, yet still finds time to do excruciatingly unfunny standup comedy routines and used to be a high school teacher!! Actually he only intended to do a handful (huh huh) of pornos until more meaty roles came along (huh huh again). PORN STAR is a must see for anyone who is even mildly interested in porn. Highly recommended

entertaining & humorous documentary
first & foremost, you don't have to like pornography or documentaries necessarily to find this docu film enjoyable. in fact, it may very well give viewers an inside(no pun intended) look at one of america's happiest men. porn star succeeds because it's honest & has very little to hide as far as the industry goes in the eyes of mr. jeremy. ron jeremy speaks candidly in front of the camera & is always fun to watch. if you aren't careful, you jsut might learn a few things through a series of interviews with friends & those who've known or loved ron. we also get a very solid image of who mr. jeremy truly is which perhaps will break down many of our inevitable misconceptions. mr. jeremy is not only a legend in the adult film industry (having made thousands of skin flicks) but he is a big cult figure in the mainstream entertainment business as well. it's extremely rare to see an actor in the adult film industry do well in mainstream cinema but this is mr. jeremy's ultimate dream & he mentions this throughout the entire film. we also get a glimpse of ron's earliest childhood memories which is very poignant & heartfelt. in between the interviews or candid talk with jeremy, we are treated to some clips from his body(no pun intended once again) of work which could easily stand beside some of the greatest moments in b- movie history & even a little bit of animation like we would later see in michael moore's bowling for columbine. it's almost hard to believe that at one time the adult cinema closely resembles what are now considered to campy films or cult classics. in some ways, porn star is similiar to a reality tv show as we watch ron doing everyday activites such as traveling or being tested for sexually transmitted diseases at a local health clinic. although i've never been a real fan of documentaries as a general rule of thumb, porn star was an insightful & funny mixture of entertainment. i've seen this film several times since purcahsing my own copy last year in february. if you dig documentaries, this is most definately the film you'll want to see. if you don't like documentaries, this or bowling for columbine are a wonderful place to start. if only all documentaries could be this interesting, right?

Oh My God
I don't know what it is; money, begging, 15 minutes of fame, or just luck. What is it that makes Ron Jeremy so fortunate. Personally, I would not be caught dead filming one of his flicks. If I met him, I would flat out ask him "What makes women get a piece of you?"

In the meantime, go get'em Ron!!!

better than you'd think
I would have NEVER watched this but my brother in law dropped it off & told me I needed to see it -- It was surprisingly better than I expected, more of a bio of Ron Jeremy than a behind-the-scenes look at the porn industry. Ron Jeremy comes off as a normal guy --funny, optimistic, a little insecure, who just happens to act in porn films. It's a job. He could just as easily be a car salesman, accountant, or (as he once was) a special-education teacher. He seems so normal. His father, a physicist, interviewed for the film, seems like such a normal dad. They have a normal father-son relationship. His sister, interviewed for the film, seems like a straight-laced professional, very fond of her brother. Ron Jeremy comes off as a slightly slovenly typical guy. Other persons from the porn industry are interviewed for the film -- they don't come off nearly as well as Jeremy. Particularly entertaining are the interviews of Grandpa (from the Munsters -- I don't know his real name). ... Read more

The Real Jenna
I wasn't a big Jenna Jameson fan before this, I am now. This isn't her porno stuff. This is Jenna performing in strip clubs around the world. I didn't know she was that talented or hard working. She's a great stripper and puts together a good show. I loved the behind the scenes stuff, the radio show appearances are funny. Let's see some more Roadshows. Recommend this one. Sexy.

First of all, this is not a Playboy video. If you want to see Jenna in an amateur-type Playboy-style (really SOFTcore), this is it. Great Movie!
Ok, this has to be one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long LONG time. The cast was amazing (even Jenna Jameson does a good job with her part) and the writing was witty and quick. Plus the plot moves, all nudity and sex is handled tastefully (I honestly think there is only like ten seconds of actually nudity in the film, and most of the time it is hidden from view!). Plus the fact that Anthony Michael Hall has one of the best cameos in any movie, ever. Grab a copy soon. You won't regret it.

Call me... Dirt!
Whether you want to refer to it as a 'B' movie or not, this movie is hilarious! Although the production values are lacking at times, the script is smartly done. The plot revolves around the capers of Dirt Merchant (Danny Masterson) trying to prove that he's innocent of a murder charge with the help of his buddies Sly (David DeLuise) and Sponge (David Faustino). Toss in a few cameos by Anthony Michael Hall and a heaping helping of adult film star/mainstream goddess Jenna Jameson and you've got yourself an enjoyable little cult movie!
