Surprise!
Ever rent or buy a movie for one reason, but end up having the film pleasantly surprise you for other reasons? That's what happened w/me when I bought FULL BODY MASSAGE.

Granted, the primary reason most people (like me!) are going to purchase this movie is the implication that Mimi Rogers is going to be naked thru most of it. Not to worry, the movie delivers in this aspect. I HATE it when some flicks have the promise of being saturated with nudity, but come to find out there is maybe a grand total of 5 seconds worth in the entire film. That's not the case with this movie.

Rogers has a unique, exotic elegance. Hers' is not the type of beauty that you will find on a bikini poster. Rather, her appearance has a much more serene and mysterious flavor to it. This, combined with the fact that she is middle-aged, give this production a nice mature (not in the sexual sense), almost sophisticated tenor.

The other major character is played by the Australian actor Bryan Brown. He doesn't seem to do too many roles, but he does pop up every now and again. He is a massage therapist who "sits in" for the normal therapist of Rogers' character. His accent is a nice touch, although I did get a bit tired of him pronouncing massage as "mAssage" (with a long A sound).

What is really refreshing about this film, however, is that it truly tells the story about both characters. It also delves into the various aspects, histories and techniques of massage therapy. Instead of being just a film for a male audience, I would argue that it is a borderline date movie. There's a lot more substance to it than you may think. The incidental music is also very fitting, giving the film an overall soft-jazz feel.

The only criticism I have is that Rogers' character only pays the masseuse $100 when its all over. Then, she is told, $100 is too much. That's an absurdly low cost. First, given all of the myriad techniques that he did, he must have been there for hours. I know that $100 won't even get you a HALF hour at some of the most respectable massage parlors. Second, it would cost a whole lot more than that for the masseuse to come & set up shop at your home (which was the case here). Third, given the fact that Roger's character lives in a bona-fide mansion & drives a brand new Mercedes, it is difficult to fathom her inviting bargain-basement massage therapists into her home.

All that aside, this is not just a good erotic movie, but is a genuinely good movie, period. If you're a fan of Mimi Rogers, Bryan Brown and / or full body massages, this one is a can't miss.

Mimi Rogers' most extensive film nudity
I'm not going to go into the normal aspects of film review for Full Body Massage here because I don't feel they apply. The reason this film is popular is because it contains Mimi Rogers' most extensive film nudity. That is the reason most people will seek it out, rent it, or buy it. Its also the reason the majority will like it. The plot is so confusing and the dialogue so boring and talkative that you may find yourself turning the sound off. Very quickly: Bryan Brown is a masseuse that fills in for rich Mimi's regular guy. The entire movie is one long massage session intercut with flashbacks by both characters concerning their previous relationships. I've told you too much. It simply doesn't matter. The nudity is excellent and Mimi has never done more. I read one review that said she looked "overweight". If that's overweight, keep up the good work. Mimi looks great and is on display throughout the film, that's all most need to know. Forget the plot & script, enjoy the view.

EROTICALLY SUBLIME
The best way 2 describe this movie: it's an erotic conversation piece! Mimi Rodgers is perfect in EVERY way, and Bryan Brown is simply charming. Eye have this movie on tape, and it's truly one of my personal favorites.

Bad beyond belief
Any way you look at this, it's a complete letdown. The plot is idiotic. The nudity is dull, poorly photographed and so unflattering that there isn't a single exciting moment.

He is the winnner of the latest Survivor & is in this movie. It is barely watchable, only view it if you are a die hard fan!

Cinemax late-night movie
This is a "Cinemax type" of cable-tv-movie (late night on the weekend). It's a softcore skinflick. The Robin Hood premise is just an excuse to start each new scene and then get the girls naked, and it does have lots of naked girls throughout the entire movie. The naked girls are the same girls that I've seen in other "Surrender Cinema" movies that are shown on Cinemax" (for example....the same as The Erotic Time Machine movie by Surrender Cinema). If you wait a couple of years, this movie will probably be on late night cable tv (such as Cinemax). Is this movie for you? Some sex, some laughs, some dizziness. . .
This is a sex movie that doesn't take itself seriously and is not too graphic. It has some funny one liners. Most of the actresses are attractive.

That being said, Who the hell thought up the idea of moving the camera in a circle around the sex scene a hundred times in a row? It isn't stop action photography like in the Matrix. That might actually be cool comparatively. This technique is sooo stupid. To all you softcore camera people out there, "Stop doing this!" I don't want to feel like I am on a playground mary-go-round watching people have sex.

There are better softcore movies out there.

Who the heck cast the male lead for this movie???
I think he's a Hispanic guy of some sort, but he's so unfunny and geeky I just fast-forwarded all of his speaking parts. (Mind you these movies are not unfamiliar with the fast-forward button... Yao Ming?)
Regardless, what's her face is sexy as usual, but when she transforms and goes into the sauna with another chick and... well I DON'T WANNA RUIN ANYTHING... but yeah. They don't just talk about the weather.
The unrated version shows some shlongs which I really didn't need to see, but hey you can use it as an excuse to show your girlfriend.
I thought the best scene was the scene where the gym owner gets some of the female antagonist in his office. It is a really hot and steamy scene... very believable.
Some of the girls are a bit ugly side (check out the one in the juice-pouring part) and some of the guys in the cast are just boys (see the exercise bike scene) which I thought was a bit strange.
A mixed bag with questionable casting but some good, memorable softcore/semi-hardcore scenes.

Funny and enjoyable
Fantastic DVD, definitely not rated....Nice girls, funny. Must own one yourself before out of print.

Not as bad as Matrix: Revolutions, but close
At what point, does bad filmmaking become criminal? Wherever that line is, it was surely crossed with Sexual Predator, the film industry's equivalent to a lanced boil. This "film" pairs Richard Grieco and Angie Everhart both doing their best to live up to the dynamic duo of Shannon Tweed and Andrew Stevens and both failing miserably. The plot revolves around a probation officer (The Swimsuit Model) and one of her assigned offenders (The 21 Jumpstreeter). It tackles such moral quandaries as; Should a sexually traumatized person be in charge of the parole of a man who killed their best friend through severe sexual trauma? Tough philosophical questions like these abound in the "film" directed by Robert Angelo. Frankly it's surprising that the "film" has credits at all. One can only speculate blackmail or some equally heinous maneuver led those participating to attach their names to this debacle. The "film" is of course directed at the 14-17 year-old male audience with access to Cinemax. The "film" though, fails to titillate although extremely stupid members of the target audience might be able to disengage from the horror that is the rest of the film and focus on only the sex scenes. I detracted one star each for the acting, directing, production, script, sound, cinematography, makeup, score and casting. I gave back five stars either; hoping that the starring freckled beauty would go on a date with me, or because Amazon does not allow for reviews lower than 1 star. I recommend 4-7 years in Marion for all key members of the "film"making team.

Sexy, Trashy Erotic Thriller!
I caught this movie at 1 am with my boyfriend. This sexy, erotic and trashy thriller was lots of fun and got us totally hot! There were enough twists and turns to keep us interested - and Grieco and Everhart have mad chemistry! Recommended for mindless fun!

An Erotic Thriller Like.. All Others!
The world of erotic thrillers is a very interesting one indeed, and it is moviemaking like no other.
It seems that there are two or three templates that all directors religiously follow, be it the plot, or the sex scenes (their number, variations and style).As the cliche goes, watch one erotic thriller and you watch them all, but as we all know this is not the case, for no matter how lame or repetitive the formula is, it is a huge hundreds of million dollars market that is specifically aimed at people who do not watch hardcore (or pretend not to) but who at the same time want a bit of sauce with the excitement of a thriller.
In all erotic thrillers you will always find the following,
1-There is always a psycho male or female, either bent on revenge for some misdeed that happened when they were too young to remember, or an obsessive person who either likes to watch people getting it on ,or is scheming to get richer and richer and has no qualms about sleeping with lots of people (before killing them that is) to achieve his/her goal.
2-The man is usually a high flying businessman, played almost always by an actor who looks more like a freelance stripper than a dealmaker, while the woman is 6 feet tall, with looks, body and health that would suggest catwalk rather than taking care of the little offsprings.
3-Most women who play the lead in erotic thrillers are indeed either veterans of the catwalks..(Probably thinking it is a good move into Hollywood that might one day lead to Oscars rehearsals,Angie Everhart,Amber Smith,Joan Severance...),or graduates of the soft core/magazine industry (Jacqueline Lovell, The Tweeds,Julie Strain....)
4-The plot is usually so lame and predictable, invariably the fast forward function is never used as much as for these films.Yet it is a good excuse to watch them, exactly like claiming to buy Playboy for the interviews and articles, a story in erotic thrillers can be an excuse for watching the numerous sex scenes.The acting is mostly from the 'overacting that flows from your ears' school of acting, while the directors have usually an ego the size of Texas (a film by so and so is usually the first to appear on the credits) without the talent to match .
5-The sex scenes all look the same no matter how many films you watch, as if all erotic thriller directors have a sort of agreement between themselves to shun any originality.The same pans,close ups,cuts,positions, and camembert tunes, with the ubiquitious girl-girl scene.It always amazes me how people in erotic thrillers and at the very first touch are consumed by an incredible passion and unbearable ecstacy,and it makes me wonder what did they have for dinner? (whatever it is , I am ordering some right now!), but since the 'action' only lasts for ten or fifteen seconds at most, I will think twice before ordering anything.
So, Sexual Predator has all these elements, and of course it also has the incredibly gorgeous and sexy Angie Everhart who is a delight to watch, with or without her clothes,and is worth buying this DVD for.
If you are a fan of erotic thrillers, then Sexual Predator will not certainly not disappoint, providing lame acting, but beautiful women.

decent bad movie
when wathcing a movie like this you must keep in mind it is not emmy material. it is a bad movie. do not expect much. i love movies like this. i see such harsh reviews from some people. what were you expecting? life altering movie?
this is the story of J.C. Gale,(played by Richard Grieco) a photographer who is accused of involuntary manslaughter for the quite accidental strangling of a lover during sex. he is given probation and Beth Spinella, played by Angie Everhart, is to monitor his "rehabilatation"
what follows is a story of sex, manipulation, power struggles and some of the hottest sex scenes to hit the screen. Angie blurs the line between pleasure and pain and Richard Grieco, i thought, was seductive and evil. you never knew if he was truly a sexual preadator or just guilty of accidental erotic sex which resulted in murder. his quiet whisperings lured Beth into his bed at the risk of her job. i think this movie is worth viewing for the sex alone. also, the ending was quite surprising. nice touch.
i would never expect anything more from this movie than a quasi-interesting plot. it was ok. not great. not bad. simply ok, i have seen alot worse.

Boring
The movie is very boring. They obviously thought it's enough to run around naked all the time, but the movie - in my view - is absolutely uninteresting. Richard Grieco somehow doesn't look very awake and Angie Everhart probably is a better model than an actress. ... Read more

Passable
If you like softcore this is not bad. Unfortunately, there is too little of Jacqueline Lovell, who is the only real standout in the whole video. If you are bored by most softcore, this one will not do anything for you.

Another one of the early Surrender Cinema must have videos.
Lolida 2000 ranks up there with Virtual Encounters 1, Virtual Encounters 2, and Femalien as one of the "must have" softcore videos that they released in the last half of the 1990's.

This is what softcore is supposed to be. The women are beautiful, the [physical] scenes are plentiful, and the action stops just short of actual hardcore. My favorites scenes were the prison cell lesbians and the totally gratuitous encounter between the 1950's lovers in the diner.

This is an easy recommendation.

Now if only someone would do DVD releases of Surrender's two other A-list titles ("Exotic House of Wax" and "Hotel Exotica") all would be right in the world.

T&A which by me is okay!
Awful everything, but the girls are hot (especially the blonde that always gets tied up... and gets all hot bothered when she's with some guy who's also in the movie and she takes it out in him in a rather satisfying way) and the scenes are energetic and tops for the softcore genre.
If you're watching this for other than a cheap thrill, you might as well look somewhere else. This movie has only one thing to offer, big-breasted bimbo's itching to have their shirts and other clothing items torn off.

Erotic science fiction at its best
In this erotic science fiction film from the folks at Surrender Cinema, fan favorite Jacqueline Lovell plays Lolida, a former employee of an organization dedicated to finding and destroying anything possessing the least bit of sexual content. Now, she is on the run from her former employers, carrying with her a number of video "stories" that touched her (and caused her to touch herself) and made her realize that the very knowledge she was destroying should actually be spread far and wide. To that effect, she produces three of these stories for the benefit of whoever may be receiving her transmission. The three individual stories are quite strange, involving alien abduction, a female pilot's imprisonment on a distant planet, and a man caught in a "time slip." Featuring a significant number of impressive softcore scenes, these three stories manage to be interesting as well as provocative. It is unfortunate that Jacqueline Lovell serves as little more than lovely narrator herein, but some scintillating performances from the likes of Gabriella Hall do much to assuage one's disappointment. Lolida 2000 is yet further proof that Surrender Cinema makes the best erotic movies in the business.

I saw this movie under a different title "O Lita 2000" Same story. Jacqueline Lovell is beautiful as always. She hosts this movie with viginettes throughout. One is of a woman (Gabriella Hall) who was kidnapped by aliens and her memory returns about what happened onboard the spaceship. A man travels through time and has sex in each time period. My favorite was the Female Space Traveller (Chandra) who gets caught by a xenophobic race and put through sexual torment of the brain.

Ms. Lovell has a solo pleasure scene to round out the film. Seeing Jackie's body is always a treat for this fan! ... Read more

Bad Script Sinks Sexy Thriller
This just-about-average erotic thriller is about as thrilling as having a hammer dropped on your head. Is the movie about: A) the problems of fidelity in the lives of an American couple? B)The pitfalls of gambling? C) The decadence of the wealthy? or D) lotsa wild, yet soft-X, sex?

I couldn't tell. All I was sure of was that the movie was a bare-bones rip-off of "Indecent Proposal", with a pointless mob subplot to prop up the unraveling story. Granted, Tane McClure and Gabriella Hall are hotties, and the sex scenes do have some steam, so the movie isn't a total disaster, but ultimately, there's just not much to recommend here.

one of Perry's best
Perry delivers a good and solid performance as a PI who has bad luck and drinks hard. along the way he investigates for a divorce proceeding that leads to a dangerous affair with the wife of a rich client. powerful in the sense. the highlight is at the end where Perry comes to Adam Baldwin's house, with a stick and just rams it into his gut and starts whaling on him with it, it was awesome. Gloria Reuben of E.R. fame also stars. a great view

excelllent murder-mystery about a man (perry) who is looking into a murder . Rueben and baldwin have supporting roles!It is also a little on the erotic side in the plot of the movie!!

A real good who done-it
I started out not wanting to even watch this one. I have never been a fan of Luke Perry. When Judye (my wife), brought this home, I made the usual sigh of resignation, and sat down to be bored.

I was surprised by the acting ability of Perry,(Beverly Hills 90210) and his co-star Gloria Reuben (ER). This film keeps you guessing, it is a good who done-it with a twist. Perry plays private investigator Michael Nash, who is hired by a wealthy lawyer to prove that his wife is cheating on him. After weeks of following her every move, Nash is no closer in proving her unfaithfulness.

Eve (Gloria Reuben), plays her role as first shy, and then as sultry vixen perfectly. Murder and deception is the key mode of this film, and keeps you guessing until the last moment who murdered who.

I thought that is was great. Very suppensful
This movie has got it all. Great actors, great story line, and a great cliffhanger. Must see.

Gabriella Hall Has Done Better
Normally one expects a certain style from movies that Gabriella Hall has been in; for the most part her movies can be found on Cinemax's "Friday After Dark" styles, involving minimal plots and a decent amount of actual sex. While this isn't X-rated (due to lack of full genitalia and penetration shots), it's also lacking in what one has come to expect from a Gabriella Hall movie: Actual sex. The movie does more teasing than satisfying, and isn't highly recommended. She's done other movies, which a quick search on Cinemax's website could turn up, which you might be better off renting, which are more likely to deliver what anyone wanting a Gabriella Hall movie wants. ... Buy "Unrated" and not "R"
After reading the above review I decided to look over at the Amazon.uk site and found the "unrated" version of this movie. Plenty of steamy scenes and, though I never saw the VHS version, I don't think much was cut. I would have liked to have seen alot more raunch, down & dirty with Dana Plato but it wasn't like I came away disappointed. One just need be careful to buy "unrated" and since the US has many hang-ups in that area, one might need to buy certain titles from Amazon outside the US.

Cut TO pieces.
I had seen this Film previously, and enjoyed it. So When I bought it, I expected to see the film again. I did not. There are entire scenes missing. And I am bitterly dissapointed. If I had bought this in the UK, I would be protected by the trade descriptions act. As I bought it from the US site, I think I have been done out of my hard earned cash. Suffice to say, dont buy this film.... cause you want get what you paid for.

Different Strokes
This movie was spectacular because aside from being the best actress ever she is also the hottest woman ever. I recomend this for any Dana Plato fan.

What 'yu talkin' 'bout? This movie is horrible!!!!
I brought this video so my boyfriend and I could watch it together, thinking it was going to be pretty intense and racy. What a disappointment! The extent of the raciness was showing Dana Plato and her co-star topless. In addition, there was very little "activity" going on between the two of them. Even Mr. Drummond wouldn't be blown away by this movie. And the plot was so incredibly stupid. And sadly, throughout the whole movie I couldn't help but think Dana Plato was totally on something. Her eyes were open so wide that it looked abnormal.

I would advise anyone thinking about purchasing this movie to save their money; it's just not worth it.

Give this movie a chance!
If you like Dana Plato, you'll love this movie. She's a true star with such amazing personality and energy, that I enjoyed watching her. As far as the sexuality of the characters go, Dana holds her own. I recommend this video highly. ... Read more

What were you expecting??
If you are looking for a 'Genius' movie here, it's like looking for a humpback whale in a swimming pool... This movie is a modest, campy fun flick. Not too great, some jokes do fall flat, but overall I liked most of the jokes, and the visuals aren't bad either.

Comedy soft porn at its best!
I rented this on video a few years ago with a group of friends, incorrectly titled "Sex Detective", and have been searching for it again ever since. I suspected "Sex Detective" was not the real name of the film, as it's about a spy, not a detective, but my search was fruitless - until today! I shall be ordering this film on DVD forthwith; it really is very funny and great to watch with a group of mates. The sex scenes are quite soft, but much better and more convincing than in a lot of comedy porn such as those Seduction Company ones. As a Bond spoof it's great; classic scenes include the one in which Rod fights a duel in a brothel using a pair of vibrators which are crossed on the wall, and the scene in which Q gives him a selection of low budget gadgets because his department is running out of money. Quality!

Rod Steele DVD suffers from stolen widescreen
Yes, Bob Donovan does a cool Bond accent, but I'm still waiting for the proper DVD version of this film to appear. All we have now is a cheap pan-and-scan copy with the director's commentary drowned out by the loud audio of the main feature.

It ends up like a fuzzy version of some late-night Cinemax thing from the 1980s, borrowing heavily from the spy caper humor of the old 1960s Ted Mark paperback series.

Ironically, they also put out an unrated version, but they again went and butchered the picture in half, from widescreen down to standard screen. (Although I haven't heard if the audio on the director's commentary is similarly ruined on this version.)

I thought this naughty little gem deserved much better DVD treatment than this, especially since it wouldn't have cost much more to provide it.

The movie was originally shot in widescreen, so it could easily be reproduced as such. And it's simple enough to turn down the volume on audio track one, allowing you to hear audio track two. So why didn't they?

Sounds like a case for agent Steele himself.

It Seemed Just Silly
The James Bond voice is great, but that's about it for this show. The jokes are so trivial. I know it is supposed to be a mockery of Bond movies but it goes so far overboard it looses its humor. If you must, give it a shot, but be forewarned.

You've got to be careful...
...when you do camp for camp's sake. It's really easy to get completely stupid, and that's what this movie is. Agreed, Robert Donovan does a *killer* Sean Connery impression, but it was essentially a one-joke movie, and that joke got kind of tired, kind of quick. I don't usually spend movie time talking on the phone, but I couldn't help it. I was bored, and wanted to let a friend know that John La Zar (Dr. Fez), who played Z-Man in "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" (are you looking for a campy sex-flick? Watch that instead, it's pure genius), was apparently alive and well, and none the worse for the time spent with Russ Meyer. Watch it if you'd like, but make sure you bring knitting, so you've got something to keep you occupied. ... Read more

This just-about-average erotic thriller is about as thrilling as having a hammer dropped on your head. Is the movie about: A) the problems of fidelity in the lives of an American couple? B)The pitfalls of gambling? C) The decadence of the wealthy? or D) lotsa wild, yet soft-X, sex?

I couldn't tell. All I was sure of was that the movie was a bare-bones rip-off of "Indecent Proposal", with a pointless mob subplot to prop up the unraveling story. Granted, Tane McClure and Gabriella Hall are hotties, and the sex scenes do have some steam, so the movie isn't a total disaster, but ultimately, there's just not much to recommend here.
