5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST!
This movie is great. It's possibly the most amazing movie ever made. It stars Jessica Hahn as a horny houswife, and is directed by Jeff "Bobby Wheeler" Conaway of Taxi fame. It also stars Conaway's sister, and a guy who was also in Donnie Brasco, not to mention some great acting from females who sometimes get naked. I swears to bears that this movie is a tour de force of modern filmmaking. This movie defines its own genre and is perfect for the discriminating film enthusiast.

And it is chaotic, incomprehensible! Jessica Hahn, top billed is on display for about 90 seconds (you think she can act?) Everything else is chop suey, editing room out-jokes (the opposite of in-jokes), vapid, soft core, exploitation. This movie was made by people who know that a name in the news, and female nudity will separate a certain type (worldwide) from their cashola.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hooper's Performance is The only good reason to watch
The movie [was weak], but Dennis Hooper's performance is just plain awesome. The only reason I liked to watch the film... :-). No but seriously, vintage Hooper at his best in the film is only reason to buy it, I couldn't stop laughing at some of the scene Hopper did....

3-0 out of 5 stars One of Pare's best movie
I'm the fan of Michael Pare, i've watched some of his greatest movies (which available in Indonesian Market)and i always enjoy it. I like this movie, the story not bad, acting is ok, and the sex scenes is hottt (Pare with Tweed ). Unfortunately most of his (Pare) movies not available in dvd format, i think that it would be great if it had as i like to have dvd collection for Pare's movies (Point of Impact, Womens Club, etc).

4-0 out of 5 stars Adam Ant Movie Lover
How did a movie with Hopper, Pare and Adam Ant get missed at the theater? I bought this movie because I'm an avid Adam Ant fan who wants to see all his movies. This one suprised me becuase it wasn't just good, but I'd never heard of it before. A definite must for any fan of the above but especially for me as an Adam Ant fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Michael Pare's always great!
I just rented this one and really enjoyed it. I knew with Michael Pare and Dennis Hopper it stood a good chance of being enjoyable, and it was. I liked the storyline and the action was pretty slick. I was not a music fan of Adam Ant, but he did a pretty great job in his role of a conartist. I hated to see him get wasted off, as I enjoyed his character. Pare is great in all his work. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Gabriella Hall Has Done Better
Normally one expects a certain style from movies that Gabriella Hall has been in; for the most part her movies can be found on Cinemax's "Friday After Dark" styles, involving minimal plots and a decent amount of actual sex. While this isn't X-rated (due to lack of full genitalia and penetration shots), it's also lacking in what one has come to expect from a Gabriella Hall movie: Actual sex. The movie does more teasing than satisfying, and isn't highly recommended. She's done other movies, which a quick search on Cinemax's website could turn up, which you might be better off renting, which are more likely to deliver what anyone wanting a Gabriella Hall movie wants. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Dan Anderson blows, good supporting cast. Not enough Gruner
John Kennedy Brascoe (Dan Anderson), former Navy Seal, is betrayed by his partner, Cody (Olivier Gruner), who fingers him as a traitor and thief. Brascoe is given a honorable discharge. His young son however, is struggling from cancer which will cost be very expensive. Brascoe teaming up with an old friend, Sparks (Michael Madsen), attempt to steal money from a billionaire to pay for his sons medical treatment.

I was a bit skeptical, being an Olivier Gruner fan after seeing his last movie, Crackerjack 3, that the movie would once again be a major disappointment. However, the story in this movie is very solid. Dan Anderson, in his first feature-film, gives a honorable attempt but falls short. Luckily, he is backed by Michael Madsen in his part. Olivier Gruner has a small part but still gets to show off what he has, martial arts and army skills. There really aren't very special effects in the movie besides small arms fire and small explosions, so don't be watching for those when you watch the movie.

Overall, the movie is worth seeing. It is by far the best performance of Olivier Gruner as a villain. The story is original and after watching the movie, you don't feel mad about what you just sat through. If you pick-up the DVD version, don't expect anything but the Trailer as an extra. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Playboy's best video in a long time
This is a near perfect tribute to big breasts and the lovely ladies attached to them. Though I did enjoy the first Voluptuos Vixens, this one I believe is a grand improvement. The stand out being the work of the goddess Pandora Peaks. A quick note to the people at Playboy Video: Please make a Voluptuous Vixens III.

5-0 out of 5 stars Traci Dali Rules!
This Video is far better than the First installment in the series. This time, Playboy went out and got more names from the biz rather than just sticking to their stable of regulars. Russ Meyer's musings are still annoying but, he's a funny old perv, so we all have something so look forward to. I'd have to say that the Traci Dali sequence is the best, but both of the Pandora Peaks segments are hot, and the Morrell Twins are amazing too. I'd have to say that this Video is excellent. Buy it now.

5-0 out of 5 stars more than voluptuous
A film with a Picture of Perfection assumes the perfection of its subject - and this film is made perfect by the divine attributes of Pandora Peaks on full display. Somehow even a superlative of voluptuous just doesn't do justice to the perfectly divine Peaks of perfection of the exalting Pandora. Mere words can never come close to expressing the singular blend of shimmering sensuality and radiant beauty inplicit even on celluloid images of the inexpressible Pandora. This is the mandatory reason you must possess this - and every other - film that comntains the heavenly images of the exponentially voluptuous Pandora!

2-0 out of 5 stars Three good sequences, otherwise, it's a yawner!
The only three sequences that were really arousing were the 'circus sequence' and 'champagne sequence', both featuring the mega-implanted exotic dancer Pandora Peaks, as well as the 'harem' sequence featuring Barocca and two other nameless, semi-chesty girls. The Pandora Peaks segments are stunning for two plainly obvious reasons--her doctor should get a plastic surgery award for creating such nicely-shaped, yet gargantuan, works of art. The harem segment is erotic in the same way that steamy novels can be erotic, especially considering that the only thing getting between these three girls are some loufas and a bottle of bath oil! Otherwise, the rest of the film is kind of boring and did nothing for me. The gratuitous Russ Meyer segment was almost embarrassing. Yes, we all know Russ is a dirty old man now. He doesn't have to prove it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Yummy!
This video is fun. The scenes are titilating and enjoyable. A little hotter than most Playboy videos--some actual touching! And the music is good, too. This is a great video for breast officionados with a sense of humor. Not to be taken seriously and worth purchasing. You'll watch it more than once. It's worth the asking price. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A Horror/Comedy that actually works!
In spite of its generic title, "The Backlot Murders" turns out to be a pleasant surprise. It's an often hilarious film that pokes fun at traditional slasher films while serving up some chills on its own.
Through some fortunate circumstances a down on its luck rock band(featuring former teen heartthrob Corey Haim as the guitarist) gets to film its first video on the Universal Studios back lot. The video's director is played by the scene stealing Charles Fleischer, who is so hilarious in this role it's a wonder he doesn't get more work. Some of his lines(particularly in his scenes with Priscilla Barnes, as the band's manager) had me laughing out loud.
Soon, the band and the video crew start getting bumped off by a masked killer. Is it the band's former bass player, who was unceremoniously dumped shortly before they landed their big break? Maybe... I'm not telling.
"The Backlot Murders" is a welcome change of pace over other slasher films with a similar premise that take themselves too seriously. If you're looking for a slice 'n dice bloodbath, look elsewhere. If you're looking for an entertaining horror/comedy, then look no further. "The Backlot Murders" delivers.

1-0 out of 5 stars BARNES IS NOBLE
Okay, this movie is really, really bad....most of the acting is unbelievably horrid; the script is derivative and ludicrous (they even steal a murder right out of the original Friday the 13th), and the writer obviously thinks the F word needs to be in every other sentence; the girls are breasty to say the least, but bimbos one and all. Even Corey Haim, virtually unrecognizable, is wasted. In spite of some pretty funny references to slasher movies and such, this movie is far down on the horror food chain. Except for..and here's what's funny...Priscilla Barnes as the bitchy band manager (looking nothing like the model she once was) is outstandingly hammy and cool; she obviously was having a good time. And Charles Fleischer as the flaming video director delivers many unbelievable lines with a strength and beauty only a true professional could muster.
But, folks, rent it...don't buy it like I Did!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Amazon owes me a star.
Lets see. Acting- Sucked, Plot-Sucked, Gore- NONE. My time would have been better spent sifting through dog vomit.

3-0 out of 5 stars Watch only if a Priscilla Barnes fan
The only reason I sat through this cute but pathetic horror movie is because I love Priscilla Barnes (Three's Company). It's basically about a rock band whose manager decides to promote the band by killing all the members, throwing in a fired crew memember who wants revenge along with her. Priscilla is that maniacal manager, and her gift for comedy really shows through - she makes a very funny killer. The rest of the time she's pretty snitty and generally not likeable, but I still enjoyed her performance. The movie itself is really, really sad and not worth sitting through unless a major Priscilla fan.

3-0 out of 5 stars review
i picked up this movie tonight because 1. corey haim was in it and 2. it was a horror flick. this movie was ok. it certainly wasn't anything spectacular. it was entertaining. the snyopsis on the back cover reads like the film is a pschological- who-dun-it-twist kind of a movie but frankly it was kind of obvious half way through (but it kept me guessing just because i was looking for all the red herrings and tricks). i gave it three stars for the effort, really. i think david defalco and his crew are talented enough to make a decent movie, this one was only te begining what they can accomplish i think. i did like how they had characters mentioning all the "classic" horror films that deal with characters, emotions, and the psychological parts of real horror as opposed to the recent seaboard of slasher flicks today. even tho after the charcters continued complaining about how horror movies latly are cheesy, gritortous nudity and cheesy gore effects and then following what is happening around them is exactly that, i thought that was amusing on how they have a little tonuge-in-cheeck and making fun of themselves (at least i think). id recommend u give this a viewing (on DVD, if anything; it has some features) if u r in the mood 4 some fun horror, just nothing that will prevent u from going to sleep w/ the lights out, just good fun. o, props to priscilla barnes and especially charles fleischer for their roles as well. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Moderately interesting
Hmmm, what to say about Gary Daniels epic film American Streetfighter? Well for one thing it was filmed on the cheap, Low budget? Nope. Shoestring budget? Nope. Filmed in some guys basement? Yup. Seriously most of the "sets" look like some guys basement with a few boxes piled about and some xmas lights strung up, and for a little variety they film some stuff in a parking lot or some guys house in the middle of the desert.

Anyway, the film pretty much goes as follows, Gary as a young man is a bit of a punk, and after a firebombing gone bad he heads for the hills, or in this case Hong Kong. 10 years later he finds his brother is in some kind of trouble and heads back to the states. Seems his brother has involved himself in pitfighting for little extra cash (think bumfights but lower rent) Gary doesn't want him to do this so he takes his place, and quickly gets beaten like a rented mule by the "champion" Viper. Awakening in a hospital of sorts he sees things are not up to snuff as it seems that the bodies of dead fighters are being used to transport drugs overseas. That pretty much sums it up, tho' there are things about a long lost son, and love, old vendetas and a pretty cute chick named Reiko who meets a sad end :)

So if you have 7$ burning a hole in your pocket you might pick this up if only for some moderately good martial arts and alot of unintentional laughs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dreamers is the real deal...
As someone who lives and works in Los Angeles/Hollywood, DREAMERS does show the "real" Hollywood. The film offers no apologies for showing the way it really is and does not cheat the audience with a sugar-coated fantasy world.

Entertaining and on-point from the first frame, Ann Lu has pulled off the real deal...

1-0 out of 5 stars Not what it seems!!!!
I guess there are 1000's of movies like this in the video stores that noone wants to rent. The title is unattractive and conveys the film maker's state of mind-----dreamer. The concept and storytelling are not original, a little bit of this and that, here and there: such a stereotype film-making technique from some amateurs who are trying to overwhelm the viewers with such mediocre production. Low budget is not an issue here though, but the movie does look low budget, simply because the story itself is insufficient to augment a low budget production. The writer (from China) obviously does not understand the thinking of typical Americans and how Americans perceive Hollywood. Anyway...I find this flick completely overrated.

5-0 out of 5 stars A smart film that's worth owning
Movies about Hollywood dreams generally fall into one of two categories: ... "Dreamers" is a rare picture in that it really captures the mindset of the indie filmmaker, with humor, compassion, and spot-on insight. I've watched it many times, and I find something new I like in it each time I see it. The director and cinematographer team are wonderful, and I can't wait to see what they come up with next. In the end, you'll find out that we're all "Dreamers!"

5-0 out of 5 stars Dreamers is a great indy film.
An elderly Asian man tours Hollywood's landmarks, ruminating on the dreamy power of movies. Suddenly, we jump to the American heartland, where two boys growing up in a strict religious community plan to run away to Hollywood. This playful, oddly forked opening introduces a remarkable new talent in writer-director Ann Lu. She not only sagely dramatizes the power of movies - that it means escape, adulthood, even a substitute for religion, to these boys - she keeps us mindful that the world is, at all times, a larger place than any individual's story might suggest. When the two boys reunite in Hollywood as young men, one is streetwise and resourceful, the other naive and trusting, but both are interestingly deluded, as Lu conceives it. Neither has a monopoly on either courage or truth. This debut feature is tremendously impressive in its honesty, its refusal to cheat us with formulaic plot twists or ready-made insights. Lu, a native of China, is sharply attuned to our local dialects of greed, hope and spiritual desperation. She has a marvelous ear for what people are not saying, matched with an ability to make illuminating sense of where their hearts are leading them. ... Read more

Charlie Curtis is a really hot girl, it's a pity this seems to be her only starring role. The plot is paper thin, but what were you expecting, really? Buy it for Charlie Curtis. ...

The movie itself is really, really sad and not worth sitting through unless a major Priscilla fan.

i picked up this movie tonight because 1. corey haim was in it and 2. it was a horror flick. this movie was ok. it certainly wasn't anything spectacular. it was entertaining. the snyopsis on the back cover reads like the film is a pschological- who-dun-it-twist kind of a movie but frankly it was kind of obvious half way through (but it kept me guessing just because i was looking for all the red herrings and tricks). i gave it three stars for the effort, really. i think david defalco and his crew are talented enough to make a decent movie, this one was only te begining what they can accomplish i think. i did like how they had characters mentioning all the "classic" horror films that deal with characters, emotions, and the psychological parts of real horror as opposed to the recent seaboard of slasher flicks today. even tho after the charcters continued complaining about how horror movies latly are cheesy, gritortous nudity and cheesy gore effects and then following what is happening around them is exactly that, i thought that was amusing on how they have a little tonuge-in-cheeck and making fun of themselves (at least i think). id recommend u give this a viewing (on DVD, if anything; it has some features) if u r in the mood 4 some fun horror, just nothing that will prevent u from going to sleep w/ the lights out, just good fun. o, props to priscilla barnes and especially charles fleischer for their roles as well. ...
